Flights is hands down my favorite place to go for lunch, happy hour and dinner. Their wine selection is amazing and I love that you can get different flights as it's so much fun to try different wines. AND their food is always delicious!! They also do amazing events- I have been to winemaker dinners, tasting events (meet your wine match is a must!), live music on Saturday and trivia on Sunday.

The tastings are so good and the descriptions are very thorough.

Where do I even start?! First of all my husband and I are from Sonoma County so we know our wine. But this establishment GETS IT. First wine bar in Bend where I felt like they weren't BS'ing their way through it. They know it and know it well. The vibe is immaculate from the music to the decor. Now let's talk food. We ordered calamari and it honestly melts in your mouth. I've had my fair share of calamari and the flavor and texture is just chefs kiss. Also ordered the Philly without cheese (dairy allergy) and even though it was missing a fundamental ingredient it was still unreal. So tender and flavorful. I can't wait to come back for dinner. All the options sound sooooo good.

I love Flights! The wine is so well curated, the food is delicious and the space is fun and inviting. I've met a group of friends for happy hour a few times and their patio was a great place for all of us to hang out and the staff was super attentive. Whether you simply love to drink wine or you geek out about it, you'll find a wine you love. The owner is a Certified Sommelier and her passion for the industry shows in the wine list.

Exceptional wine bar with knowledgeable staff. Love the wine club, and other special events. I have tried so many new wines that they offer as part of a flight. Give it a try; you won't be disappointed.

Lovely little tuck away wine bar. This was perfect for a stop on my birthday before dinner next door.

What a gem this place is, far from just a wine bar. From service to the ambiance and the food, this place is amazing. Our waitress was very kind and friendly, as we came in at a rather later time and she brought plates out perfectly timed. From the 'snacks & bites' we chose the eggplant Halloumi crostini, fried calamari, simple salad and the warm marinated olives, all of which being equally delicious. My favorite being the crostini, it just hit all the spots. We then moved onto the 'sharables' portion of the menu and went with the pan seared day boat scallops and the soy ginger glazed black cod. I truthfully can't say which was better as both were cooked to perfection. Although, the soy glaze was something I'll be trying to replicate at home. Dessert consisted of the coconut cake and strawberry cheesecake crème brûlée. I wasn't a fan of the strawberry filling at the bottom of the crème brûlée, it was a little too jelly like for my taste buds. We could've eaten the whole coconut cake to ourselves! They also have special events and fried chicken (certain dates) which I'll be back for. Overall great suggestion and place to check out for a date night or just a night out. P.S. they had the comfiest seating thus far

Whether you're an old wino...umm well aged oenophile...like my husband and me who have been drinking wine for 40+ years or a complete newbie to the world of wine trying your first glass, go here! Viaggio opened in 2022, a handful of years after we moved from Bend after nearly 20 years as residents, and alas about that timing for us because if we still lived there we would be here weekly, at least, to sip. SET UP: Walls of wine throughout the shop with bottle prices marked on front which I assume one can open to drink there as well as buy to go. But we spied Viaggio on our way to dinner reservations next door (The Hook and Plow) so popped in after dinner. Alcohol lightweights that we find ourselves to be at this age and having had cocktails with dinner, we came in to Viaggio to peruse the by glass menus and bottles and stayed to enjoy pours from the 2oz Coravin menu. Both that menu and the by glass larger pour menus are great ones (I posted photos of both sides of the two menus) which is no surprise given the credentials of the owner, Benjamin Richardson, as both Somm and fine dining management experience including as wine manager at the 3 Michelin starred Meadowood restaurant in the Napa Valley. PAY FOR THE WINE BUT THE PRICELESS EDUCATION IS FREE: We bought a couple of bottles of an Italian varietal I enjoy that is hard to find and when I asked the server if there was any in the shop, I didn't see it in the tall walls of wine as I made a casual pass along them, she said she'd ask the owner. In a few moments Benjamin was tableside with two bottles from different wineries and also to share information about them and the varietal. We paid for both and since we were traveling they were very nice to hang on to them for us for a few days until we passed through Bend again. READ ABOUT THE JOURNEY: Viaggio means journey in English and I so recommend reading the owner's story in his Yelp page summary to learn the significance of that as we were able to do in speaking with him in the shop. If you're wanting to enjoy a glass or bottle of wine in a great space this is the place. If you want help in filling out a wine collection, or to make selections for meal pairing or learn about wine this is the place. If I could wave a magic wand for a perfect wine shop, this would be it. SEATING: Indoors in front and back of shop at tables and chairs and a long communal table at back of shop too. Looks like outside seating as well during daytime and / or nice weather but it was a rainy night when we visited so no outdoor service. EATS: A small selection of wine appropriate nosh are offered on the menu. On the right night, a glass and a plate or two of these would be linner or dinner for us. ACCESSIBILITY: Winos on wheels, as I was in using wheelchair for this visit, are welcome thanks to equal access of level in the door, all on one floor and standard height tables and chairs. Also one side of the communal table is a long bench but the other side are chairs that could be moved for access for wine drinker in a wheelchair to have access to join friends at the same table. You would be amazed how many places miss this important point of providing that kind of full inclusion seating in communal spaces. Good for Viaggio for getting it right. PARKING: The Hixon Apartment lot can be crazy full at night time. Note if you're picking up a wine order there are 30 minute limit parallel parking spots right across from the front of Viaggio. Accessible (AKA ADA) parking is at side of building and at the back side of Hook and Plow.

Excellent vibe. YELP Short Answer: Yes, visit and join if you're into your vino, Location: Lots of parking and easy to find. Buildout, Excellent but be aware of sun during certain times of year, they have shades but it can be bright and warm even when it is freezing outside, not an issue. Seating is very comfortable. Menu: So many options, best to ask questions or order by the glass. I believe this is more geared to purchase a special bottle to enjoy, but many by the glass options as well. Wine pours: generous but measured most of the time, everyone seems to be there for fun but it is a business so order often and tip generously ; ) Food options: Limited but changing but nice caviar options as they become available. Ask questions if you're curious about caviar options. Value: Excellent value for spending some relaxing time, a glass of wine solo or with a group, very well done. We will be back and will support them, hope you do the same.

They cater to supporters of the next door art cinema and offer specials with ticket stubs, so this would be a great spot to come after a film. It was a little confusing at first; doing the Bend Ale Trail I was expecting more of a beer centric taproom but ended up having a great experience here anyone thanks to the bartender and her partner who was sitting at the bar. You can enter here through the main door along the street, or through the alley entrance which is also worth a visit with outdoor cafes and restaurants and closed to traffic. I visited on a weekday afternoon so it otherwise wasn't very lively but had a great discussion about Bend, beer, and the other fun businesses in the area with the couple; thanks to them for the fun conversation and other recommendations. Also, thanks for the sticker swap. Spider City Brewing's main brewery is outside of Downtown and is on my list to visit next time. All beer on tap here is from them with maybe eight different taps. They do smaller pours or full pours; no real flights so I chose all three different small pours of beer styles I love. One was not my favorite due to the hop combination, but the other two were both excellent. Prices were reasonable as well. I was also told they live comedy nights and music in the space, and many customers enjoy picking a bottle of wine and sharing with the table. If any of those things appeal to you, this would be a fun place to visit in an evening.
