I was greeted very nicely by the receptionist and handed over to a gentleman in service. I was treated with respect and was not told to buy this or that. I called the Hopkins Ave store in Whitby where I was to pick up the order and to advise them I was there. An obnoxious person answered and told me that the store was closed. When I asked why? he told me it was New Year's Eve! I asked why are you closed at this time without advising anyone? He told me "it's on the door!" I told him it curb side pick up and I'm not at the "door". He then told me he didn't have to listen or explain anything to me and hung up. I'm an essential service worker and don't have the luxury of just closing or not working. Horrible service and just plain wrong attitude and service in these troubling times when we should all be helping each other.

Just an awful experience with this store. per my mechanic i needed a fly wheel for an 1995 Pontiac…read more(automatic) .... the guy at hot spot researched which one i needed, gave me a price and told me to come in and pay for it now .. hell then order it and it will be there the following day around noon. (Which i did) Well, the following day the part wasnt there, but he promised me that it would be there the following day. I explained that i absolutley needed that part the next day as i have an appt. with the mecanic. Well, that next day the part was there, but when i brought the flywheel over to my mechanic he explained that Hot Spot gave me the wrong flywheel! .. the one they gave me was for a stick. I called Hot spot to inform them, but they fought me on this ... they assured me that my mechanic did not know what he was talking about. (As i recall the guy at Hot Spot said that all flywheels are the same, and that he was a mechanic for 18 years and he knows what hes talking about) Well, i went back and forth with my mechanic and the guys from ho spot about who was right .. i was forced to call other stores to ask a 3rd party about this part. Turns out that my mechanic was right! .... The guys at Hotspot had to order me the part again which took another day ... I had to then pay MORE money for this new part .... never once did they offer me n apology, a discount or rebate for my days spent without a car, and my time spent doing there job researching information they should already know. I give them 1 star cause the prices in there are comparable to other stores ... but i will never go there again, if you go, please make sure you are someone that knows allot about cars, cause your taking your chances in there if you are depending on them to help you out..

I called Tuesday for an update and he told me that he had ordered a ring and pinion for it. They didn't end up using it and he was honest and didn't charge me for it. They could have told me that they installed it and I would never have known the difference. Darcy has earned my trust and my future business. Great guys and honest work. They stayed late on the Tuesday to get my truck back together for me. Happy to have found an honest business . Thanks again Darcy !!!
