I want to give a huge shoutout to an awesome local business BISON BIKES in Bella Vista, AR. I recently stopped by hoping to buy a bike and the owner went above and beyond helping me with advice, knowledge, and genuine care. In the end I had to order online because the brand didn't have inventory at his store and would not get it in the timeframe I needed, but I really wish I could have purchased it there. If you're in the market for anything bike-related, I highly recommend stopping by and supporting BISON BIKES! The owner is awesome, exactly the kind of business we should all try to support whenever we can. read more

Excellent customer service! Kendall went above and beyond to help meet our needs. Great service after the sale as well. He truly is a one stop shop. If he doesn't have it then he can get it. Today was our 3rd Aventon e-bike! read more

Purchased a bike from them a few weeks back. Overall the pricing was fair and it was quickly shipped. I figured it was like any other bike shop and after it arrived, if it was mostly in good shape I was on my own moving forward. Kendall made me understand what service from a bike shop should really look like. I figured the glowing 5 star reviews were just folks who were nice and locals... but their service really was over the top. My bike arrived with a few things out of order, most of the issues not due to the build. I gave them a call, honestly not really expecting much. My package had some minor damage during shipment, and while it was mostly cosmetic it was a gift for my GF so it was a tad disappointing/upsetting. We went back and forth and Kendall ended up filing a claim with the shipper. He was very persistent with following up and I was super pleased/impressed with their service. He resolved everything and the shipper did ease the frustration regarding the minor hiccup. Overall extremely happy I went through their shop and look forward to doing business with them again in the future. Thank you Kendall for the great experience! read more

I was referred to Kendall at Bison Bikes by a co-worker who had purchased bikes from his shop. I made a quick call to the shop and Kendall was quick to answer my questions and offered to set up a couple bikes for me to try out. I arrived at the shop and Kendall spent the time to go over the bikes I was interested in and adjust the suspension and seats for my size. He set up 4 or 5 different bikes and sizes for me to try. He told me about the differences and prices with no sales pressure only informative conversation. I left the shop with all the info I needed to make a decision. After my experience with Kendall at Bison Bikes I had decided I was going to buy a bike from Kendall before I was even sure which bike I wanted. I made up my mind to purchase the 2025 Pivot Shuttle LT. When I went to the shop to pick the bike up Kendall had it all ready to go. He took the time to completely go over everything. He helped me select some accessories and a new helmet as well. He stayed open after hours to make sure I had everything I needed. After the sale the experience has been nothing but the best. I have called and stopped by with questions or needs and Kendall has been quick to get everything sorted. I am super happy with the bike and even happier with my "Bike Guy". There are many places in NWA to get a bike, they don't all come with a "GUY"! You won't regret visiting and doing business at Bison Bikes! read more

Kendal is amazing and is super honest with the products he sells. Me and my family have all bought bikes from him and refer people to him whenever we can. He's always friendly and wants to make sure he does you right and not sell you a piece of junk some other places would. He knows his stuff and turned me towards a different bike then the one I was originally looking at and I'm so glad he did I love the bike and Kendal has become a friend to me and my family. Won't go to any other shop!!!!!!!! read more

Kendall & Jennifer are amazing! When it comes to customer service, I don't think the other shops can compare. Kendall knows his stuff and his customer service extends beyond the shop door. I've bought two bikes from Bison. Started out with a hardtail Norco and upgraded to the full suspension Pivot. I love that I can swing by whenever to get the bikes checked out, ask for some riding pointers, or just pick up some new gear and accessories. Plus the prices are the best. As always, thank you! read more

Have you ever found a local shop and the owner is not just amazingly awesome and super on top of things, but decent and honest as well? These are general requirements for me for my doctor, mechanic, etc... and Kendall at Bison is all that (and a bag of chips). He's communicative and always helpful... and a super pro at what he does. You can tell cycling is a passion of his, in all forms. The biggest thing for me is that he's in my neighborhood! (Even if I moved, I'd come back to Kendall), but that said: SUPPORT LOCAL! Thanks for being the man with the raddest bike shop I've ever visited. read more

Great little shop with local trail knowledge and fantastic service. We were in town on a guys MTB trip from TX, TN, and NC and stopped in because we thought the shop name sounded cool. Kendal gave us some great pointers on which direction to ride some of the multitude of trails around here. A couple days later we came back with a popped spoke and Kendall's first question was, "When do you ride next." He worked us in and had the wheel fixed in three hours. Super impressed with a shop that cares about customers having a good experience as much as about making a buck. read more

I had a spur of the moment inspiration to buy a new toy so I decided to get a bicycle. Bison Bikes happened to be one of the only dealers in the area with the bike I wanted. I made an appointment via text. Kendall, the owner, was very responsive. Got to the shop, took a quick test ride and I was sold. No sales pressure whatsoever but Kendall obviously was very knowledgeable with his products. He gave me a run down on the bike and it's features without the pressure of selling. I felt really good about my purchase knowing that if there are any issues that Bison Bikes will take care of me post-sale. It's also a great feeling to support a local shop and small business owner. I'm all about helping the small business owners especially when he is friendly and honest. I'll definitely be back for any future bicycle needs. Highly recommend this shop. Well worth the drive if you aren't close. read more

Had an amazing experience from consultation to purchase. I will be giving any future business to Bison. Thanks!

Go talk to Kendall before you go anywhere else. I was recommended to Kendall by at least 5 different people. I sent him a text message about the issues i was having with my bike and Kendall was on it. I dropped off my bike and he immediately started working on it. Kept me updated after my shocks were sent to the manufacturer to be rebuilt. Went through my entire bike and fixed multiple issues, made recommendations for what was needed and when i came to get my bike, he tuned my suspension and made sure everything was on the bike was perfect for me. If you're looking for someone to give you knowledge of your bike and help you with what you need instead of trying to sell you products, go see Kendall. read more

Bison Bikes is one of the best local bike shops I've ever been to. I have been looking for an eBike to get me out riding again and back on the trails. With the incredible sale on Yeti bikes, I couldn't pass up the deep discount. Kendall was AWESOME! Best customer service anywhere. His passion for cycling is apparent through his sincere enthusiasm and depth of knowledge. His focus was on my needs and he thoroughly walked me through the various choices he offers; there wasn't a question he couldn't answer. When I made my choice, he ensured that I was very familiar with the bike before and after my purchase. read more

Just picked up a 2019 pivot switchblade and had an awesome experience. The owner Kendall is a super rad dude that loves his job and it really shows. From the initial phone call to set up an appointment to the time I picked up my bike I felt very taken care of and involved in the ordering/ shipping process. When I came in to pick up my bike Kendall spent an hour with me dialing in my bike. Anyone interested in getting a quality bike and superior service I highly recommend bison bikes! read more

I can't believe it has taken me this long to review Bison Bikes. I have bought dozens of Bikes from Kendall over the last 10 plus years and have also referred numerous friends to him for purchase, service, and repairs. He is a first class person that runs a first class bike shop. I just outfitted my family with mountain bikes and, once again, Bison Bikes came through. He takes more time and puts in more effort than ANY other bike shop you will find. Thanks Kendall! read more

If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. I got a used(very used) GT aggressor Pro/hardtail on Craigslist just to have a fun little project bike that can take a beating.. It needed a bit of love before I could take it out and I brought it to Bison Bikes. Kendall helped me while it was extremely busy, not only was he professional but he was extremely nice and honest about pricing and wanting to make my bike the best it could be without bleeding my wallet, he was constantly offering me cheaper alternatives even if it would make him less money, you can tell he's very passionate about bikes and his customers. I will always bring my bikes here, the customer service is out of this world. Thanks Kendall! I plan to get a full suspension beast from you in the future! read more

This is a great bike shop with the best customer service around. An amazing selection of top quality bikes. Highly recommended!

Wow! Where to start. My experience with Kendall was an A++! From my first conversation with him till I purchased the bike his communication was awesome. He gave me a great deal, was very accommodating with an appointment to pick up the bike, and really took his time to get the bike dialed in and fitted properly. He also kept me well informed and updated after the bike was ordered. I couldn't be happier! I highly recommend Kendall at Bison Bikes!! read more

The owner is super down to earth, an expert in bike knowledge and I dont think he could be any more honest. I had some tune up stuff done on my mountainbike. That being said, I think wanting to do the best job he can to fix your bike can become costly. But I'll go back just because I dont want to deal with my bike lol. Aside from that, if I had to gripe about anything else, itd be the hours. By appointment only. read more

Excellent service and support at Bison Bikes. Kendall the owner is the most personable and helpful store owner I have ever encountered! If you are looking for a bike- I highly recommend checking out Bison bikes! read more

Just purchased a new Yeti from Bison Bikes. I have purchased numerous bikes from many different shops and can say this was easily the best experience I have had purchasing a new bike. I called Bison Bikes to see if they had the bike I wanted in stock and when they open on a Sunday. I learned the owner of the shop works by appointment only and offered to meet me at the shop to fit me for the bike I wanted. The appointment only service is fantastic as I was the only customer in the shop. I was fitted perfectly to the bike I wanted based on how I described my riding style. The bike was ordered from Yeti and arrived, was built and ready to be picked up in under a week. When the bike was ready I received a text message from Kendall (owner) and arranged a time to meet at the shop to pick it up. When I arrived we went over everything about the bike. Making sure the seat height and reach were ideal, to tips on setting up suspension, brakes, shifting, tire pressure, how to safely clean and lubricate, everything I could need to know about my new bike. Great experience and I will definitely refer my friends to Bison Bikes. read more

I couldn't have asked for more from both Kendall and Jennifer. I called around looking for a specific bike and had zero luck with multiple shops near me, I just got the "call back next month". All bike shops were slammed during quarantine due to a lot of people buying everyone out. Kendall took my call and was willing to help me get what I was looking for. Once my bike was shipped I was notified then a short time later I came and picked it up. These guys are great! Highly recommend and great service. Easy and felt like my business was truly appreciated. read more

Having never heard of Bison Bikes, or it's owner Kendall, I drove for 90 minutes to the shop to purchase a Pivot Mountain Bicycle that he had in stock. I was expecting a decent experience, but Kendall turned this into a superb, thoroughly enjoyable time. First, I had the owner's complete attention for an hour (or more) with zero interruptions, while he adjusted the bike and installed the options I asked for. The entire time, he is filling me with information about the bicycle, how to adjust, clean and maintain it as well as fun places to ride. I learned more about my new bike and mountain bikes in general, during this visit than in the previous six years visiting other shops to get my old bike serviced. The service didn't stop when I left the shop either. I emailed questions, with accompanying videos and pictures and they were all answered promptly and thoroughly. If I had used another shop to get this information, I'd have to load the bike on the car, drive up to the shop, ask my questions, possibly leave the bike and come back to get it. So I wouldn't be surprised, in the end, if it's actually more efficient to drive to Bison Bikes than to visit the local shop. I ride road bikes too, and expect to purchase a new one later this year. I'll definitely be returning to Kendall when I'm ready for a new road bike. While "appointment only" might seem a disadvantage at first, it is actually a fantastic way to purchase a bike compared to working owners distracted by multiple customers, or employees that just don't have the experience and knowledge of the owner. Thanks Kendall, I'll be back! read more

Bison Bikes is an appointment ONLY bike shop....Contacted Kendall the owner early Monday morning and had arranged to meet at his shop around 2. I had my eye on a Kestrel RT1000 that he had on Craigslist for over a month, and I knew I needed to check this bike out before it was sold. Kendall really took the time to upgrade the bar tape & adjust a few things and I was out the door w/ an amazing bike. They have an awesome selection and I whole heartedly recommend them to anyone who wants awesome service! read more

First, I never write reviews, I read then just never wrote them. So the fact that I am compelled to write this review means a lot. Enough rambling. I am new to cycling, started riding in May 2016 with my Fuji Hybrid bike. His guy is great he took his time with me and explained everything so well. Since I have been riding I have been to several bike stores, can't help it when I drive by a store my car automatically stops. In comparison to the service I have gotten at other places, I will return to Bison to purchase my next bike, a road bike this time. If you are looking to purchase a bike and want the best personal service ever, I totally recommend visiting Bison Bikes. This is will be the only shop I purchase bikes from because of the owners knowledge and service. Have I made it clear his guy is AWESOME. read more

I just would like to say "Thanks to Kendall" he has helped me buy several bike from him and always provides first class service. This review has been a long time coming. Kendall was awesome and I highly recommend going to his shop if you're looking to buy a bike. It had been ages since I'd ridden a bike as a child - but I had decided to buy a road bike for working out. I made several trips to a larger, more well known bike shop in the Roseville area, but I often had problems with the customer service and trying to order the bike I wanted (the order was cancelled after it was placed because they actually did not have any more in stock!), so I decided to look elsewhere. I'm 5'1... so it was hard to find a bike small enough for me that I felt comfortable riding. My husband and I did some research online, trying to find other bike shops in the area. We came across Kendall's shop... his website was a huge factor for us choosing to visit his shop: he had current information on the bikes he had available (plus pictures with measurements, which was key because I was looking for something specific). He had several bikes in smaller sizes, so I had a few options which was great (because these sizes are surprisingly hard to find, even at other shops with larger inventory). Plus he said he's able to order bikes if he doesn't have them in stock. Kendall's shop is by appointment only, which I liked because I wanted help with questions, concerns, and sizing, and this way he could dedicate his time to individual customers. Although, he was pretty busy helping another customer before me, as well as working on something for a customer after me - but I understand this is not his full time job so it didn't really bother me. If you're looking to buy a bike, and you want someone who is knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful - then I definitely recommend this place! read more

Extremely helpful when choosing a bike. Very knowledgeable and has a passion when talking about bikes and mountain bike riding.

This shop is truly one-of-a-kind. It's appointment-only, and that means you get individual attention, personalized service, and expert advice. Contact Kendall beforehand, let him know what you're seeking and he will hook you up with a great bike at a very reasonable price. My garage is literally full of Bison Bikes purchased for my family (ok, I admit it...most of them are for me). read more

Amazing service that you will not get anywhere else! Kendall (the owner) goes above and beyond to help answer any questions you may have. I bought my Yeti SB5.5 through him and it was the best choice I made. Kendall had the bike shipped to his shop extremely quick and he built the bike up so it would be ready to go when I got there. When I picked up the bike he spent as much time with me as I needed to go over all my questions about maintenance on the bike. I have been back to his shop several times and would recommend anyone looking to get a new bike or bike parts go to Bison Bikes! read more

There is a lore about using your LBS (local bike shop), in exchange for paying tax (gasp), you get personalized service, fitting, great recommendations, a properly built bike, etc.. Sadly this is not always the experience. It's not to say other shops are bad, but with medium/larger shops it can really depend on who you talk to. Even living in a bike mecca like Bend, OR, I relied on friends that worked in shops as opposed to walking in. The appointment based set up has a lot of advantages when buying a higher end bike. It's a relatively large investment that you will own for many years, requires regular maintenance on your end, and can be the difference between enjoying busting your a$$ on a ride or suffering. I'd like to consider myself an experienced rider, between commuting, mtn biking, and road biking, I'm on a bike every day and always work on and build up my own. But if you haven't bought a new bike in a while, a lot has changed and I wasn't sure I was even asking the right questions. Kendall has a way of explaining tons of detail in a friendly way that opens conversation. Even things I thought I knew (like cleaning and lubing), I picked up some great tidbits. There's a limited selection of accessories (compared to bigger shops), but it's all high quality stuff at very good prices, basically only what you would want to buy. I've been wanting to add a carbon road bike as my vintage steel frame was getting too much wear and tear. After finding a cool LBS with a drool worthy selection of mountain bike brands, now I think I found an excuse to upgrade my old trustworthy mtn bike later this year (hopefully). :) read more

Wow! Service truly unlike anywhere else!!! I just picked up a new Yeti SB5 from Kendall, the owner of Bison Bikes, where he graciously met me at 7:30am on a Sunday morning. I was driving up from the Bay Area and it was 100% worth it! As someone who's been riding road bikes seriously for 15 years or so and having move more into mountain biking over the last 5 plus years, I thought I possessed a decent understanding of how to make my way around my mountain bike - any mountain bike. Boy, was I wrong. I showed up this morning with the bike all set and just needing some basic fitting and then Kendall walked me through everything including setting up the suspension in detail, the rebound (e.g., front fork where no one else showed me where that even existed on my other not so inexpensive bike) and a number of other parts and adjustments. No one has ever spent that kind of time going over my bikes' operations at that level of detail and, even knowing that he was going off to spend the rest of the day with the family, not once did I feel rushed. Kendall would have clearly spent more time if I needed it. Besides being immensely knowledgeable, Kendall is warm, practical and down to earth. His level of service is a standout and it's people like him that make you more than comfortable - and, pleased - with going out of your way to find and work with him. I have already begun letting my friends know about him and my only regret would be not living closer to him! read more
