And we don't know if they even included the pulley, the thermostat or new serpentine belt or the fan clutch, this gobbler didn't even say any of this was included. Gobbler means they will gobble your money. Skip this one! We haven't made up our minds yet on who to use or if the one we choose will do a good job but we won't be using this one. It should be made of gold for this price. We used to trust mastermind automotive in Benton TN but we can't get a hold of him to even get a quote. ugh! It should take depending on the tools they have and the experience they have ...40 minutes with an experienced mechanic and for inexperienced with regular tools, 3 hours. We have read and looked at all reviews n videos n pricing all over online. PriceGeek was the best prices for the parts but we found that OEM $? or ACDelco 266.00 or Gates $? or Moray( lifetime warranty) 180.00 are the best water pumps. This pump would be for a chevy 3500 van and don't even have to take the radiator out to get to it. Too many mechanics will only guarantee the pump they put in for 1 year n not even lifetime which is not right. Who wants to keep putting cheap water pumps in and cheap gaskets that cause it to leak too quickly and having to put them in over and over again? Get a good one with preferably a lifetime warranty the first time. It's too much money and too hard to do these jobs over and over again. Get Good gaskets! Get a Good pump in the first place! ...or you will be sorry. And get guaranteed lifetime labor! To charge over 1200.00 is a Total rip off! This is double what all the others charge. Just an extra Note: And the pump manufacturer this company gobbler uses wont give a warranty at all unless you have a full coolant flush with it they said. They did not say which water pump they use. Maybe they already know they will have to do it again n so they charge double just in case. If we weren't older then we could buy the pump ourselves n do it much cheaper. And some say they catch the coolant n reuse it if it's clean, but we wouldn't. 180.00-266.00 pump with pulley, 40.00 or less for the belt, 75.00 coolant n a few clamps. So for around 300.00 to 385.00 we could do it ourselves depending on whether we put on a new belt. So they are making around 800.00 for labor here. Shame Shame!

Call before you go, he just might be retired…read more I called Mr. Crye this morning to see if he could work me in and of course he could. I arrived a couple minutes early and we talked for a few minutes. He wanted some information on what was going on with my truck. He diagnosed a possible problem based on that and then took it for a spin. He got back in a short time and put my truck on the equipment. He masterfully hooked everything up and before I knew it, he was done. It didn't even look like he was working. We talked for about 30 minutes afterwards about life and stuff. I really enjoyed it especially after he said he would be retiring soon. Guys like Mike Crye and Danny Ledford don't exists anymore. No one takes over their business and then they close up and you have to rely on a big box store to do your specialty vehicle stuff. Find a small town guy and go sit down with them. You won't regret it. Oh and he was very reasonable on price.

To begin with- this is the first online review I've ever written. I'm choosing to write this…read morebecause even a month later, I'm still thinking about how grateful I am for the exceptional service I received at Family Tire & Auto. Last month I was on a road trip through Appalachia when I began experiencing some issues with my car. I called ahead about an hour in advance before I got to Cleveland and asked if there was any way I could get in that afternoon to get an alignment done. After being rejected by several other tire and auto shops in SE Tennessee/SW North Carolina I was discouraged, but Family Tire and Auto was able to get me in help me. While my car was being worked on, the mechanic noticed an oil leak and was able to resolve that issue as well. If it wasn't for them I would not have been able to get to Nashville (my destination for that evening) and I would have incurred much more costly damage to my car. Additionally, its important for me to acknowledge that Family Tire & Auto represents a cornerstone of the American economy that has faded over the years and - small, local, family-owned businesses, which I encourage us all to go out of our way to support. From my phone call to the receptionist (the owners granddaughter I believe?) to my experience with the mechanics, I felt that I was treated and cared for as family- despite just being a random traveler passing through. If you are in the Cleveland area and need your car serviced, I highly recommend Family Tire & Auto.
