Summary: It was a great pleasure working with Adam. I would strongly recommend his services if you…read moreneed an attorney. Pros: Very accessible via e-mail; Very patient; Knowledgeable and willing to share it with you Cons: Often speaks in an attorney language, which requires farther clarifications Tip: If you are using bittorrent and live around Chicago, read the "Details" and research "How to hide my IP from ISP provider" or "Hide torrent traffic from ISP". It will save you tons of money, time and energy. Details: I received a letter from my internet provider about bittorrent activities. It was stating that I downloaded something illegal and owners of whatever I downloaded are requesting my personal info from the internet provider to sue me. In be beginning I thought "what a BS?", "There is no way anyone can get sued because of bittorrent". After couple of hours research, apparently there are only 2 tiny areas in the USA where you can actually get sued for it. It's somewhere south Ohio (please do not quote me on that) and our North Chicago area. That's it. Anywhere else you can do it - no problem, but here they can sue you :(. I called couple of attorneys to understand the situation better and to confirm that I was in a deep SH-T. Adam's website was very helpful. It had plenty of useful information and some recommendations. I checked prices and services with multiple attorneys and decided to go with Adam. Today, I am so happy that I made the right choice then :). It was great working with Adam. My biggest concern was that you have to pay the attorney in advance for services that he/she is going to deliver later. However, there was literally no issues with Adam. He was always there when I needed him and he was on my side 120%. Another negative aspect of this "we are about to sue you" situation is - you do not really know what's going on and have to trust your attorney. It's really nervaking and unpleasant. Adam was very patient and considering. That helped a lot to defuse the situation and get through it. I know, Adam is providing more services than just a torrent mitigation. I really liked his attitude and work practices. I would absolutely recommend him if you think that you need his services.

I am in the e-commerce space and Adam will definitely be my go-to person when it comes to ip &…read moreinternet law - Can't say enough good things about him. He is super knowledgable and extremely diligent when it comes to solving the issue at hand

STAY AWAY. TERRIBLE LAWYER. I hired Michael P. Mazza LLC to sue a company in Florida for copyright…read moreinfringement. I assumed we had jurisdiction but we didn't. Michael didn't tell me, which he had a fiduciary duty to do so. In the first 3 months, he ran the legal costs up to $74,600 but, by his grace, he heavily discounted the bill closer to $50k once I started complaining that he had a duty to tell me about jurisdiction. I had no evidence whatsoever that the defendant did any business in my state of Illinois: I would have sued in Florida if my lawyer told me about the issue as he was obligated under his fiduciary duty. Michael wanted to make a quick $50k I suppose. That's $50,000 in 3 months to lose a battle he had no chance of winning!! After he filed the paperwork, he told me to keep my fingers crossed. I'm not a gambling man and this lawyer gambled $50,000 on a fingers crossed outcome?! Michael found one photo that showed the defendant did business in Illinois but the judge said that one photo wasn't enough for jurisdiction and any lawyer worth his salt knows that. I actually did end up finding a Google Adwords campaign that was enough for jurisdiction but since Michael filed the lawsuit before having that evidence, the Judge said that we couldn't use it. Keep in mind that Michael quoted me $5-6k to file the lawsuit and his first bill comes in at $15k. He baited me with a low price, didn't tell me about the jurisdictional battle because I would have simply used a Florida law firm, and lost the battle because of gross negligence. Honestly, I have more indignation towards my own lawyer than the company that stole my photographs and committed the copyright infringement. Michael P. Mazza and his co-lawyer Paul R. Hale is the reason lawyers have a bad rep. There are good ones out there but Michael P. Mazza LLC isn't one of them. I'm utterly shocked by his deception and gross negligence. Please don't be scammed by Michael P. Mazza LLC.
