So... Our Biscuits & Bubbles experience was terrible. I mean absolutely terrible. She smells better and her nails were trimmed, but they did not trim her fur at all. I paid for the service and tipped before I saw her. I really wish I would have waited. There is no after picture because she looks the exact same. The cashier told me that because Gin was afraid of the shaver that the groomer cut her with scissors. I wish they would have called me to tell me that before they even trimmed her at all. I would have come and got her and taken her somewhere else. They may have trimmed a centimeter off of her. Her paws are still fully covered in fur. She is shedding worse than she was before I took her. $60 wasted. She's a 25 lb miniature border collie. She's not that hard to control. Her fur is very close to 3 inches long on her entire body except for her head and her paws. Her undercoat is still gritty. It does not look like they brushed her out at all. Like I usually do not complain about things like this but that was the worst service I've ever received from a groomer. read more

I have 1 shih tzus and have been to a lot of the groomers around the area, these guys are always great. My dogs have never come home with nicks or anything. Also, each of mine have issues, like one doesn't like her feet done and the boy doesn't like his face done, but Biscuts and Bubbles always get it done. They also don't complain when I bring the dogs in after a few months of neglectful grooming on my part. so far the best around in my opinion read more

They didn't perform grooming services that I had booked while making boarding reservations. This is the second time that has happened. Management had an "Oh well" attitude when I brought it up. It makes me wonder what else the dogs didn't get during their stay, such as the day care play time I requested and the two meals a day I supplied food for. read more

I called to setup an appointment for my Golden Retriever and they told me the soonest they could see me was two weeks. No problem and I schedule my appointment for 7am on a Tuesday. During the call, I tried to tell them what I wanted done but I was assured that the person taking him in would go over everything when I got there. At the shop, I talked to the the receptionist and informed them all the services I would like my dog to receive, in particular skunk odor removal and I showed them the location which still lingered from a few months ago. We also discussed his nails to be trimmed and to trim around his sanitary areas. Everything was agreed and they took him back. When I asked what time that he'd be done and they wouldn't give me a time to pick him up and that I would receive a call when he is ready. 8 hours later I still did not hear any word about my dog and began to worry. I called at 3pm, 2 more times at 3:30pm and another at 4pm and no one was answering the phones. At this point I'm curious as to what the problem is so I decided to make the 45 minute drive there. At 4:45 I arrive at the location and they inform me they "just finished him up". They also inform me that the price is going to be increased to $75 because he was de-skunked to which I had no objections had the job been done correctly. After I paid they go back and get him and he seemed pretty dry for a long haired dog who was "just finished up". Due to my emotional state I didn't get to give him a good look over because it was past 5pm ( and nearly 10 hours of "grooming") and went straight home. When we came home and he drank an abundance amount of water that I questioned if he was given any water throughout the day. That's when I noticed he still had a cowlick the same area as he came in with from getting wet in the rain earlier that week and falling asleep on the floor stuck his fur on the left side up. He also didn't smell as nice as he would when he returns from other groomers and smelled skunk still. His nails were so short that he bled during our walk the next day, and his sanitary areas were not trimmed. To say that I am disappointed in this establishment doesn't even describe the services here. I truly believe that I paid $75 for nothing but a miserable day for my dog. I highly recommend you to go anywhere but here if you care about your pet. read more

I was really not happy with them. This was our first time with our first puppy. They had her from 8-5. When I got her they said she's a biter that we may need to sedate her next time. They were rude and not welcoming at all. They didn't clip her nails and they shaved her private parts which I told them not to do and they cut her twice. This is a classic example of a place that used to be good and unfortunately has gone downhill. We are customers for over three years. Recently my dog went in and we noticed her acting very strangely afterwards. After a night of constant itching my wife took our dog to the vet who found several nics in her back and immediately prescribed several rounds of medications. My wife went in to inform the people there why we would not be customers anymore and was met with accusatory statements and a dismissive attitude. Never did they ask who my wife was or the name of our dog, and worse they never asked if our little one was ok. The fact that they were rude to my wife is reason enough for me to not go back, add to that the fact that they did not know how to properly cut a Papillion, and the issues of nicking her in the process is reason for me to warn others to stay away! read more

This place does not care about your pet or your feelings. Please do not take your pet to them They totally shaved my tiny toy poodle to the point she is having issues with her skin. I talked to the Manger because I was very upset and I was treated rudely. I will never take my beloved pet there again. read more

Made an appointment to board my dog for the weekend, Friday drop-off and Monday pickup. We asked for them to bathe the dog when we made the appointment; they asked us to come after 2:30pm. We said we'd be picking up around 5:30 and they said that was great. Third or fourth time boarding our dog here, and she gets more and more frantic trying to get out of the store every time we go. Go to pick up the dog on Monday - no bath. I was told they "ran out of time." We made an appointment, asked for a bath, and I picked her up right before closing. It's not possible to give more time for a bath. I went back to see where she was being kept, and it's a crate. My dog is a black lab that never normally barks, but she was hoarse when crying when she saw me. This time and the previous time we used the kennel service, she drinks a ton of water when we get home. Last time we used the service I was told she had access to water. This time, I was told the dogs are all put in cages at 5pm and "fed and given water after closing." I took that to mean that she had no food or water that day, and again she drank a ton of water when she got home. She doesn't fight to leave the vet's office, but she fights trying to get out of this store. I picked up my dog thirsty, dirty, and hoarse. I can't use this service again, and I can't recommend it to anyone. To their credit, I was given a voucher for a free bath, so there's that. read more

AMAZING customer service!!! I am getting a mastiff puppy and have a giant list of requirements from the breeder - including this elusive brand of dog food that I have to feed the puppy. Needless to say after several unsuccessful attempts with other stores - and multiple calls to the breeder about the "precise" brand of specialty puppy food I was at a loss of what to purchase. The staff at the store was so helpful - calling their distributor and going on line and assisting me with finding and eventually ordering the correct puppy/dog food. They were also able to order a few other items for me and the prices were reasonable and comparable to the chain pet stores in the area. Will definitely continue to support this local store. Cannot comment on the grooming services yet but the shop and the bath areas are always clean and neat. read more

Had an extremely bad experience today. I had taken my dogs before a yorkie and olde English Bulldog but today was extremely bad. The bulldog came home panting extremely bad and after given water was perfectly fine so I'm wondering how long he was in the holding areas without water. Also his ears were on fire to the touch and blood red - when I called she said the same solution was used last time as this time so my concern comes into play is if washer was being rough and grabbing him by his ears. I used to take my Maltese to be groomed by this group, and did so for about three years. The last time I took him, they had a new woman working there and, though she seemed to know what she was talking about, my dog was injured when I picked him up. He had been 'burned' with the shaver on several areas under his neck and was shell shocked. He didn't act like himself for several days. I called and left messages for the manager to return my call, but to no avail. I will NOT take my pet there again and I do not recommend you do, either. read more

If I could select 0 stars for Biscuits and Bubbles in Salem I would. I took my dog after doing an appointment online. I was told when I got there that I DID NOT have an appointment, but that was OK..maybe someone else would not show up. At that point I thought..OK..they are going rush through my dog...my dog did have some mats in his hair, but then I was told there was no other option but to shave him...I felt like it was only because he was not on the books...I then decided to take my precious 5 month old and leave the establishment. Upon my leaving the place the person behind the counter shouted out to me " I hope you can find someone to do what's best for your dog" as she was implying I do not take care of him....I love my dog and I will be taking him to a professional lady I know that loves fur babies and will do the right thing for him. Last Friday We adopted a beautiful 4 legged baby from Angels of Assiess and you know how they can smell. We went to Biscuits and Bubbles for a bath. We were greated by a nice smiling face and asked for a bath for Skye. Taken back to a huge tub and we received a large bottle of shampoo and conditioner. We did the bath ourself, towed dry and a warm blower, Skye did not look the same. If you want to have a wonderful experience in bathing your baby, go to Biscuits and Bubbles. You will not regret it. Went in to wash my dog today and one of the employees was washing two small dogs and he was extremely rough and abusive to the dogs. Got soap in their eyes, sprayed them full force in their faces, shoved them out of his way and even jerked them up and tossed them to the other side of the tub. Slammed the hose down several times and scared the dogs. I got home and emailed the company about what I saw and posed the question, if he treats them that way in front of your customers, how bad is it when no one is watching? I got a very fast response from Blair, the "CEO" and he said that the person I described is the "master groomer" and he has been there a long time and "hundreds of people request him" and he " assured me that he does not mistreat the dogs when no one is watching". What I witnessed was an angry, abusive man and I would never leave my dog to be bathed or boarded at this place. The "CEO" defends an abusive employee before he/she even questions him or the other employees that were there. This place has really gone downhill since it was sold to the current owners. Also, when parking in the lot beside the building, there is a horrific stench from the boarding/outside area in the back. If you love your dog, please do not ever board or have it groomed at this place. I will never give them another penny of my money, even washing my dog myself will not happen here. Obviously from the other grooming issues noted on the reviews on here, the "master groomer" is horrible and the employees rude. Also, why pay $20 or even $10 on Wednesday's to self wash your dog, when you can purchase 5 self washes for only $25 right down the street at Pet Supplies Plus and it is a much nicer, cleaner and better smelling store where you don't have to see employees abuse animals. read more
