My 18 year old ,cat passed away on Saturday, November 29, Due to the weather, I was unable to take…read morehim for cremation until Monday, December 1, I chose Butler because a year ago I had another cat pass and the hospice vet to her to Butler. I was pleased with them so went back. I asked about paw prints and Gary Butler said he could do it. When I picked up the remains on Wednesday, December 3, the paw prints were in a card and were smudged to the point I could not tell what they were. I had expected a print in clay, which I did not get. I was so disappointed, I felt like crying and commented about the print not being clear. The woman in the office stated that the cat must have been in bad shape. I found that to be disrespectful. The cat was in perfect condition. He was an indoor cat and was kept cold until he was taken to Butler. I wasn't even given the option of the clay print. Given the lack of empathy toward my feelings and, I can never get the prints now. The cost was more than I had expected since last year. I have 2 more older cats. Butler will not be my first choice when the time comes for cremation for them

I used silk flowers because I needed them to look good for over 24 hours. Adrienne was very encouraging to me and her demeanor helped me get through this very painful time.

My parents are buried at Calvary Cemetery. I live out-of-state, but visit their graves every…read moreAugust. I make lovely floral arrangements to place in the urns at their headstone. Calvary removes all floral arrangements twice a year, in September and March. For the past 11 years I have asked the office personnel not to remove the floral arrangement in September. I always made a small donation to the cemetery for their inconvenience. This year the office staff told me that my arrangement would be removed with no exception. I was shocked and dismayed that cemetery staff would be so heartless. What has happened to compassion and caring at Calvary? What a shame.

There was a broadcast for those who could not make it…read more The funeral director stood behind the camera the entire time oblivious that his/her constant movement made it very difficult to hear people speaking on the other side of the room. Also ended the video before the service had ended. I called twice (once to let them know about the noise making it hard to hear to ask if it could stop, and once to let them know they ended the video too early). Berry? Mary? Who answered the phone both times did not once apologize nor try to fix the situation. Merely said yes the video ended they're just playing music. Would not recommend. I believe my family paid upwards of $23K for all services.
