And it was fine! Better than fine because the blueberries were so good! I had no complaints. But now they've leveled up. Now it's not just good blueberries but good ambiance as well! They've converted another smaller building next to it as a storefront and it's chock full of blueberry based goodies like jams, jellies, baked goods, dips, mustards, beverages, etc. Way more to choose from! They also sell ice cream and added a play structure to help entertain the kiddos that get a little bored of picking (smart). The day of our visit it was around 100 degrees and humid so I was not up for picking myself. Instead I arrived ready to buy a box of pre-picked fruit in bulk like I had in the past. I walked into the cute new storefront, scanned the shelves, and panicked. There were no boxed berries to be seen! Was this no longer a thing?? U-pick only?? Why God why!? No need to panic, the really lovely woman at the counter explained to me. They just ran out because nobody wanted to pick in the heat (fair) and they had another load of blewbs (just processed and boxed) enroute and arriving at any moment, she just wasn't sure when exactly. Our time in town was limited so we decided we'd come back instead of waiting. She assured me there would be plenty available. And she was right! A couple of hours later we came back to find the coolers absolutely stocked full of 5lb boxes. I was fielding requests from the family back home to bring them some so in the end I bought 20 pounds worth. I also added a blueberry lemon coffee cake for good measure. Great visit! Wonderful changes! Lovely personnelle! And most importantly, the blueberries are still amazing. Next time I just hope it's cooler so I can get an ice cream cone that wasn't going to liquify the moment I stepped outside.

The flavor profile was not too sweet, so creamy, light and airy yet decadent. The perfect blueberry flavor. The sandwich was also very good. The scone could have been skipped. It was probably one of the worst scones we've ever had. I wish we had more cheesecake :) Overall, so worth the trip!!

The store has a ton of cute and delicious gifts, foods, etc. The kitchen has a couple pizzas and sandwiches. On the one hand surprised there's only two pizzas highlighting the blueberry. On the other hand, we had the blueberry pesto pizza which was fantastic. Really unique flavor, not overpoweringly blueberry. Definitely admitting I was surprised at how much I liked the pizza. I think Bowerman's is now going to be a regular addition to our Michigan trips!

A must, a must a MUST! The blueberries were fresh, delicious, and plentiful! The owners were awesome, friendly and a riot to talk too! We must have talked with the owner for 20 minutes before we even went into the field on our own to pick. We learned that him and his wife (Im soooo sorry I don't remember your names!! ) just recently, within the past few months! purchased this farm and moved here from Ann Arbor, with their 5 kids! They have never farmed before and really knew nothing, they were just going with it! His passion and enthusiasm for the farm got my whole family even more excited to get out there and pick! After our initial conversation he left us with the "the rules"..... Rule #1: eat as many blueberries as you can!! Rule #2: have FUN! That's it's! We spent a beautiful summer afternoon eating and picking blueberries until we wanted to burst! We picked so many that I had to freeze some in my Tavel trailer because I didn't have enough fridge space! In fact- I still have some of those blueberries in my freezer currently, and they are equally as delicious today as they were the hour I picked them! Oh and the price, they were dirt cheap, less than $2 a pound (check picture for exact price). It was a great experience, a beautiful farm and the family is amazing. This place is 10 Stars all day long and a Highly Recommend!

It started to sprinkle rain as we pulled up to park, but that clearly didn't stop people from picking strawberries as we saw a family walk away with baskets and baskets of strawberries. The girl at the U Pick Stand was the sweetest walking us through the different types of baskets to choose from, the cost, and the process before we were set free to pick our berries! There were SO many strawberry fields and so many good juicy strawberries to choose from! My toddler, my husband, and I had a blast even in the rain! My only regret was not picking more because when I finally ate one - it was quite frankly one of the best strawberries I've ever had. On our way back to the car, we noticed the blueberry farm. They looked like they were almost ready for blueberry u-pick season and sure enough, a week later they were open! I wanted to see what they had in their little market, so we pulled up front and I saw they had strawberry donuts for sale! I grabbed half a dozen and both my husband and I devoured one as soon as I got back in the car. The next few days, I air fried them to reheat them and they were EVEN BETTER. So fluffy, airy, and full of strawberries! We can't wait to come back in the future.

It's a small place but they have a really good selection of cheeses. Very friendly and nice person working the day we were there. I expect we'll go back here over and over.

De Lange's is pretty no frills overall--a "get your berries and go" kind of spot. I'm pretty sure there were strawberry pie-shaped candles for sale in addition to some dessert-y components that you can also pick up at your local grocery store. It's nice if you're in a pinch, but I say spend your hard-earned dollars on the berries. I can't speak to the u-pick experience outside of knowing that De Lange's offers a strawberry u-pick option down the road. Knowing the quality of the strawbs, I may have to consider u-picking next season.

LOCATION: Easy to find, you jump on Port Sheldon and head west to go towards Holland, it is on…read morethe North side of the street. They have a farm stand and a U-Pick (a little farther up the same road on the North side. The farm stand accepts credit cards but as of last year the U-Pick does not, cash only. PRICES: Strawberries are $4.00/Quart, $2.50/Pint, if you do the U-Pick it is $1.85/Lb. I was told that 1 quart is about 1.5 lbs (if you are trying to figure out how many lbs are in a quart). The farm stand also sells items such as honey, maple syrup, rhubarb, sugar & snap peas, biscuits, pectin, and more. There is a rabbit for kids to pet (& keep them occupied as you check out the stand). Minimal parking. One thing I get annoyed at is they ask you to bring the boxes back but they don't give you an incentive to do so (like a few bucks off or a % off would be nice!). If they did that, then yes I would make sure I brought them back! They also do red raspberries, apples, pumpkins, cider, squash when in season but are known for their strawberries. I would have given this a 5 star if the prices were better & if they gave me a reason to bring back those boxes they ask us to bring back (discount maybe)!!
