We found this little taco stand on Yelp when we needed a quick lunch! We love birrias tacos so we were so exited to try this place! It has a lot of different unique birrias options! We opted for the ramen! The portion was huge! The ramen was so tasty and the broth was so flavorful! We got ours to go and it was still nice and hot when we got back to our hotel! It's served with a side of cilantro and white onions! Service was great! Staff were friendly and our food came up quick! This was a great lunch find! read more

Pretty good birrieria! However as others have mentioned, the prices are a little bit high. They were definitely above most of the places that I ate in San Diego over the last month, and most of them were not food carts. If you're in the area it's worth visiting but there may be more affordable options with similar ratings. read more

It took a bit of work to find this cart but it was totally worth it. My boyfriend had the burrito and it disappeared quickly so I took that as a sign that he liked it. I had the Birria en Caldo and it was perfect. Not spicy but with a rich flavor. So much meat but with plenty of the Broth. It will easily be 3 meals for me. It came with chopped onions, cilantro and lime wedges and tortillas. Now that we know where it is I will be stopping by more often. I haven't had Birria since I moved back from Las Vegas 16 years ago and I am very happy to find a place that is close that has very reasonable prices with so many ways to have it . Nasty attitude! They took my order incorrectly. I ordered two chopped steak, one chicken Birrieria tacos THREE pork with pineapple birrieria tacos! INSTEAD they gave me four shredded beef quesadilla that I WOULD NEVER ORDER BECAUSE I DON'T LIKE SHREDDED BEEF, SHREDDED CHICKEN OR SHREDDED PORK! Why would I waste my time driving 20 minutes out the way from where I live to come pick up an order that I KNOW FOR A FACT THAT I'M NOT GOING TO ENJOY???? Why would I waste $35 on food, gas and my time? The girl took my order incorrectly over the phone when I get there to pick up my order, the guy repeated the order and I repeated to him I wanted three pork tacos. His English is very broken and that's why I repeated what I want it back to him! AND THEY STILL DIDN'T GET MY ORDER, CORRECT. I called them and explained the situation. I guess they put Carlos on the phone. I explained it to him and he act like he doesn't understand what I'm saying. He asked me to send a picture of the four tacos that I didn't order and then they send me a nasty response back in a text message. I've been a loyal customer back when the pandemic was happening! This is an amazing place to get top-notch Mexican food. Nice sitting area, nice service, and amazing food. The tacos here are amazing, especially with the sauce that is provided. If you don't want to drop a bag on food, drop by and get a Mulita or a Taco. I would give the tacos a 8.5/10 and the Mulita a 8.5/10 also. read more

My first time having birrieria tacos and omg they are everything I was hoping! The rich flavor, the delicious consume with an ice cold bottle of coke (with cane sugar) was the absolute perfect meal! My family and I will definitely be back! The prices are kind of steep, 4 tacos, consume and 2 sodas was 27.12 for 2 people. Also ordered to go with a quesadilla, 2 tacos, consume and a coke for 22.79. Again, kind of steep as the to go was for one person. Was a wonderful treat and I'll be back. read more

I went here for a late night dinner. It was priced as though it were a sit down restaurant. With that being said, the portions are generous. I ordered the mulita meal. It was heavy. I had enough for leftover lunch the next day. I'm not sure why refried beans are either, 1.) too salty Or 2.) no salt/no flavor Theirs are too salty (obviously, IMHO) Customer service was great, the staff person was friendly enough and answered any questions I had. Ambiance? It's a food truck in a parking lot. I guess you could say it's ambiance is convenience. The missing star was the beans, and frankly the price. The food here is good, but good enough for me to pay these prices? No, not for dinner. Maybe for a late lunch in which I didn't need a whole meal? With that being said, there were some al la carte items priced much better. It's a place I would recommend other people try. read more

First time I tried this place via Uber eats. I was truly impressed! Very delicious food! First time trying Birria. I really like the avocado sauce and the Consomé. I just got done eating one of the Birria burritos. Oh my. This is the best burrito I've had on this side of the Columbia. Talk about top notch. I would have paid $50 for this burrito and would still be equally as satisfied. So flavorful and delicious. This is my second time at Birrieria Carlos and it's even better the second time. If this is your first Birria experience: go for the quesabirria tacos and an order of consome. The agua Frescas are well sized and refreshing. The food is pricy but it's because you can taste the love in every bite! read more

I'd rather find a better hole in the wall with better food and service vs trying this spot again. And their salsa has vinegar added to it for some reason. This is the second or third spot that does this. Idk why. It's not a traditional thing, maybe it's a WA thing.
