It is handicap accessible and has an elevator available. There are many restrooms and many places to dine from. Sometimes there are food trucks available on a certain level if you're not wanting the regular stadium food. Parking in the lots on event days costs $20, but unless you get to the venue early, it may be your best option. Also there are restaurants across in Uptown you can eat at before or after your event. Pro Tip: Don't count on the restaurants to be open if your event ends after 10:30ish. Most are closed. Eat before or drive elsewhere.

So I will try and differentiate as much as I can from the stadium from the organization. As an organization, the Birmingham Barons took a huge risk by moving the team from a Hoover facility to downtown. You have to take into context that after hours downtown Birmingham was not what it is now. It was a bit of a risk with a lot of backlash when they were deciding to do this. But them moving downtown is one of the major factors in making the downtown a better place to go outside of the typical 9-5. As far as fan experience goes, the Barons have done things right. From family night, to dog night and who doesn't love a good thirsty Thursday in the heart of our downtown area? There are never long lines to get in and the hospitality areas are top notch. The concessions can get a little long... but its not from a lack of locations. And the prices are about what you can expect from a stadium without being too crazy. We love a good Barons game and look forward to attending for years to come.

There is not enough of a discount for the pre-sales to take the risk of inclement weather as absolutely no refund is offered. That would be okay if the "organizers" did some planning and made arrangements for rain. But no, they have outside tables with no cover so these tables are useless if it rains or is very hot as was the case in 2013. You end up standing in line for measly offerings of food and then stand to eat. There are no facilities in the event itself to go relieve yourself of consumed beverages. Why not expand the area for the restaurants? This is a real charlie foxtrot. Nobody can walk by, the lines are ridiculously long and when it rains, it is just a massive jam. If you are going to take my money and offer no refund, you need to plan for rain, very hot weather and other contingencies. The portions are small, usually cold and unappetizing. You can go to a good restaurant for the money and not have to put up with all the inconvenience. We will not go back until better planning is initiated. I would recommend taking this event off your future plans. I came home wet, aggravated, disappointed and feeling like my pocket had been picked. No, no, just no. If you want to be miserable, go. Otherwise, go somewhere else. IMHO, this is the kind of event that needs to go out of business.

I attended a disability fashion centered experience titled "Every Body Blooms." Sponsored by NCHPAD, UAB Arts In Medicine. This was such a beautiful fashion show showcasing the confidence of the models and their creativity in fashion. One model remarked that "When you look good, you feel good." I would encourage everyone to follow NCHPAD to learn more about the disabled community and how they adapt to the abled body society. Again, this is a wonderful venue. I'll be back for other shows and performances.

We had passes for the kickin chicken wing fest. Can you say...FUN! Between the two of us, we had 10 tickets to try wings and vote on the best. We managed to use 9 of the 10 tickets before we got full. Just to name a few favorites: Billy's, Basil, Otey's, Carrigan's(minus the nuts). To fill you in, local restaurants brought kitchens/warmers/fryers and provided wings for patrons with tickets. How awesome! Beer/wine were also available for purchase. If you didn't have cash....an ATM was right around the corner. If you pulled out the big bucks, you could've enjoyed the wine/beer tasting under another tent for 2 hours. We enjoyed the SEC football under the nicely decorated tent. Nearby there was a fun filled kids zone for the kiddos. To add to the fun, Buffalo Wild Wings sponsored a hot wing eating contest.....need I say more? Now for the music!!!!! Oh My Goodness, the music. What a blast. Two alternating stages was such a perfect idea. Thankfully, we had front row standing seats for some amazingly talented folks: Kansas Bible Company, Paul McDonald, Drew Holcomb and the neighbors. If you found yourself getting hungry, several food trucks lined up for your tasting pleasure. All in all, beer/wine for purchase as well One of the best parts of Cask and Drum is that it's literally an all day event. We came early, left for a few hours, then returned for more. And although I did enjoy myself, personally Cask & Drum didn't quite master any of the three. Weather: I know, I know, you can't control the weather, but boy, oh boy, at least pick a space with some shade! October can be finicky in terms of temperature, but one should still anticipate that, in Alabama, it's probably gonna be hot. After about only fifteen minutes, we found ourselves cramming up close to the building with dozens of others trying to get out of the sun for a bit. The Gameday Tent was already packed to capacity and, although shaded, almost warmer than standing out in the elements. Other than the lack of shade, the area was nice (right by Pepper Place) with plentiful street parking. Volume: (I repeat) I know, I know, you want the music loud enough for everyone can hear it, but I shouldn't have to stand six hundred feet back just to comprehend the music! If we got much closer, all we got was speaker base. I'll redeem that by saying the lineup at this festival was pretty rockin'! I hadn't been previously familiar with some of the daytime bands, but I loved Lee Bains III & The Glory Fires and can't say I didn't' enjoy the others as well. Beer: I'm picky about my beers. A festival like this is the PERFECT opportunity to showcase some of the local (or regional, at least) craft beers, but the festival seemed dominated by miller lite. Bleh. Personal taste, that's all. I think next year, I'll invest in getting a VIP ticket to get access to the tent with seating, pizza and beer (plus nice bathrooms)- it's the little luxuries that make an event like this special. I also wish there had been a few more craft vendors there. There was a small booth right out by the entrance, which misled me to expect more. It would add a little something more to the event.

They are so many different rooms and staged displays for you to snap pictures and videos. My kids loved the upside down room. My husband and I enjoyed the throne room. Actually, we truly loved it all! There are so many colors and textures. It is something you have to experience. Even with the Coronavirus on the loose, we still felt very safe. The exhibits are appropriately spaced and there are so many of them so it is easy to social distance. Masks are required when you're not taking a picture. There's hand sanitizer available and they limit the number of people allowed in the venue. Of course, they also clean the rooms and props. I foresee a lot of photo shoots and parties being done here. I talked with some of the people in charge and they said the rooms will change monthly so that dope! It's an ever changing experience so you will want to come back again and again!
