They have five rooms and every one has a different theme. There's a really nice pool, plenty of decks and a small lake. It also serves as a great wedding venue for a small to medium size wedding. Stacie and Dave are the warmest, friendliest most accommodating hosts. The breakfast is so delicious. It's surrounded by trees and we really felt close to nature. It's only 9 mi north of Baytown. If you want to get it away from it all, be in nature and be pampered, this is a place to go. The price is very reasonable.

The house itself was welcoming and comfortable from the moment we walked in and the view of the water was a constant treat. Since it was so easy to get to the beach and into the water, we relaxed in the surf much more than we expected to. The key words there are "relaxed...more than we expected"! Our first night, as we settled in and noticed the unexpected amenities, we remarked to ourselves, "They thought of everything!" Our older daughter- who is an avid reader- loved the little touches like the reading lights connected to the bunk beds. Frankly, we are not used to being so well taken care of! Our family got to create some easy and meaningful memories during our time at the house. From dinner and games around the family-sized table to quiet moments of reading and reflection on the Adirondack-type chairs on the porches, there are many moments that we will look back on as special times in our lives together as a family. In the background of each of those moments was the thoughtfulness of the hosts who put the house together in such a way that we simply just enjoyed ourselves! If there's a problem - unexpectedly the A/C goes out. They are super fast to respond. Hurricane coming in- they will advise you and often work with you. Check out their places. Nice choices. Convenient to Houston and Galveston. Nearby Lake Jackson is brimming with places to shop, eat and street names to amuse you.

One of the things we loved most was that they have two separate houses on the property -- one for the bride and one for the groom -- and both were spacious and comfortable, which was something we struggled to find at other venues. The venue package itself included so much: tables, linens, water goblets, plates, silverware, and chargers, along with the option for either an indoor or outdoor reception space. They do require the use of their in-house caterer, bartender, and security team, but honestly, that ended up being one of the biggest positives. The menu selection was great, the food was delicious and reasonably priced, and our guests could not stop talking about how good the drinks were all night long. Leading up to the wedding, they were incredibly flexible and accommodating, which made planning so much easier and less stressful. They even allowed us to bring everything over the day before the wedding, which made a huge difference because we were able to focus on getting ready and actually enjoying our day. Unfortunately, it rained on our wedding day, so we ultimately had to move our reception indoors. The team was so patient while we watched the weather and decided what to do. Richard checked in with us a few times during the evening to make sure we had everything we needed. On Saturday morning, breakfast was served and WOW--Logan knows his way around the kitchen. When we slipped out to enjoy the Strand for a few hours that afternoon, Richard and his team refreshed our rooms. We decided to host a dinner with more guests Saturday evening to celebrate 5 years, and that went off without a hitch. Cocktail hour with the famous Lasker charcuterie board was enjoyed by all, and the barbecue spread for our main course was absolutely delicious! As an added treat, Richard had a miniature version of our original wedding cake for guests to enjoy. It was a hit! Sunday morning breakfast was just as delicious as Saturday's...
