I was going to stay at the Hampton Inn right next door, but reviews were favorable here, the price…read morewas right, and I'm a diamond Choice Privileges member. Room was fine but some appliances were shoddy. Breakfast is typical, not bad but adequate. Staff was just fine. My chief complaint is the lighting. The large sign is currently unlit at night, and as the hotel sits way back off the roadway, it doesn't have the visibility of the neighboring Hampton Inn. There is a lit sign near the driveway, but someone ran into it rendering it useless. So I drove back and forth a couple of times before I spied the building in the dark. Fix it!

I stayed here for three nights during a birding trip and was well pleased with the place…read more There were many positives. All of the staff I interacted with were pleasant & positive every time I conversed with them. The room was very clean and well taken care of. Everything was well maintained, except the below. The bed was comfortable and I slept very well. The negatives kind of grated on me at times. But considering how cheap the place was, it wasn't like I was staying at a Five Star joint, so you have to give the place a bit of slack. First, the AC was definitely "played with". No matter how cold you set it, it would run for 15 minutes and then stop for 15. It would NEVER achieve any temperature for long if it were blow 70 degrees. I'm convinced that it was set to just say F' U to any customer. The door between rooms to adjoin them was secure but it didn't keep out noise for ANYTHING. If you get one of those rooms, hope you don't get a noisy neighbor. The toilet seat was replaced and whoever was the maintenance moron picked up a local version that was plenty of sizes too small and then didn't secure it very well. Using it feels like sliding on a small skateboard across a bowl.

I stay here while my mother is in a care facility near by. I must say, I have never had a hotel…read moreroom that was completely tile/no carpet, but I loved it. The bed frame was metal and elevated off the floor, and the floor had no carpeting to speak of. As someone who travels quite a bit, This made the room feel cleaner and less stale, plus it reduces the chance of bedbugs. It also means it's easier to clean, which made me feel better about staying here. The Continental breakfast was delicious and the staff at the front were incredibly friendly. I highly recommend this hotel. One point of note that you need to be aware of. This hotel is used by a lot of blue collar workers for the refineries and other places. They can get a little bit loud in the evening but often are gone for work very early in the morning but often are gone for work very early in the morning. This didn't bother me at all, but if it bothers you, you might ask to stay away from that room block.

Lobby breakfast is surprisingly good, though: eggs, biscuits and gravy, yogurt, toast/waffle station, cereal, coffee and juice. Get there early; we were up at 8 and the eggs were almost gone anyway.

(From June-July, 2023)…read more A very modern marriott staple that I'm pleased in in an area like Port Arthur. I did an assignment for a couple weeks from June-July in the Bridge City area and decided on staying at this place. I'm glad I did as this is one of the best hotel options in the area; and also one of the better marriott hotels I've stayed at anywhere. How so? Well, newly constructed hotels will have more updated features including new breakfast items, modern online connectivity, interior designs, and bathroom toiletry items. Obviously this place has all those. Plus it's probably the cleanest hotel I've set foot in for quite sometime based on my travel experiences and hotel lodgings. The room had plenty of space with a stocked kitchenette, a lounge sectional w/ computer prop, and desk area. Customer service and staff are on point with attentiveness and handling areas of need. No doubt this is a must-stay if you're in Port Arthur or the Bridge City area.

Came for an adventure, stayed in luxury!…read more I didn't quite know what this place was when I walked in, I was just in town on an adventure, visiting friends from this area where I grew up. A good friend of mine who used to work for Marriott says "All hotels are running on a skeleton crew with people who hate themselves and are a second away from disaster, but if you want a clean room, you can't do better." Check-in was done by a good-humored, handsome redhead. When I walked into my room, I was pleasantly surprised by the size, layout, and amenities of the room. The wifi was unsecured, but that's why you should always bring your own VPN. I adventure around town, visiting friends and catching up on decades of life, coming back to my comfy room at the end of the day. I wouldn't really try the hot food at breakfast (about 7:30am), but I am looking forward to sleeping one more night on this ginormous bed. Really liked the fact that the staff takes care of some cats outside. I'm a big cat person, so this warmed my heart.

Anyway I say this because I stay at a lot of Hamptons. This one is in my top 5. Spotless! Everything is just how it should be. When I travel for work, I want consistency in my lodging. Hamptons are usually quite good. This one just has that something extra that makes it special. The staff is beyond friendly and very accommodating. I want to live here forever! But they made my stay go from good to great, mainly just by being sincerely concerned for my happiness. Great hotel!!

All of the Hamptons, before staying here thanked me for Gold and gave me waters and a snack pack. It's right on their counter. This guy had the personality of day old bread, kind of stale. Had breakfast and the gal cleaning with nasty smelling cleaner, was 2 feet away from me as I was eating, got up and left. The place needs a remodel, the shower floor is very slick, I almost fell, no slip mat for the tub. I talked to the Manager and discussed these items with him. As I was talking with him, another gentleman checking out told the Manager I was correct and he would not stay there again. Now the cream of the la cream. They charged me twice for the same night! I filed a complaint with Texas OSHA and called Hilton corporate. There was 1 great thing though, Samantha who worked there is a rockstar! Went out of her way to help us! They need to make her manager.
