Yes, it is quite hilly throughout the campground, but the individual sites are very level to park the camper with almost no blocks needed. We had two sites this trip with water and electric, but they do have quite a few full hook-up sites. Overall the sites were large, with trees between, providing additional privacy. Except for the Plateau sites, which have the amazing view, the rest of the campground had a great tree cover! Too often private campgrounds attempt to squeeze as many sites as possible and end up with campers on top of their neighbors, but at Starlight, the sites felt very secluded. Water pressure and electric were both great throughout the stay. There is no internet, but we had good cell phone service. The employees in the camp store are amazing and go out of their way to make you feel welcome! I felt everyone went above and beyond to help me from the reservation process through check-in. The camp store is well stocked and also serves hand-dipped ice cream. Starlight is a nice campground to relax or explore central Pennsylvania.

The view was breathtaking, but we preferred the shaded sites. If we had a reason to be in the area again, we would certainly return!

Some type off muffin or coffee cake Cheryl had baked, fresh seasonal fruit cup, a delicious breakfast entree, a breakfast meat, orange juice and coffee or tea. The breakfast was luscious and filling. The grounds were well groomed and the 5 rooms were so nicely decorated with four poster beds with canopies. They were cozy with private baths. There was a sitting room at ground level with a flat screen tv. It was great and deserves a repeat visit ! Our first B & B experience, it will be hard to beat! Very pleased!

While we waited there were some chairs facing a small pond which we eagerly used. Janae was as prompt as promised and took us inside to check us in and show us to our room. We were given the key to our room and code to the door to the house. Janae was absolutely wonderful. Friendly and helpful. Our room was well appointed, everything was nice. Odd though no television in our room ( no problem ) there was a radio though. Later we met David the owners son, he was pleasant and helpful too, giving us some ideas where we go for dinner. The house built in 1814 was wonderful.. Every time we turned around there was something new to spark our interest, the little details make all the difference. Our room was comfortable and the whole house was pristine. You can tell when someone really cares. I guess the owners were away, since we didn't get a chance to meet them. But Janae was great, she was there to serve breakfast, and we ate with another couple that came in that Friday night as well. Check out is a 10:00 and we did run a little late, but nothing was ever said about that. Were we comfortable? yes, were we happy we came? yes, would we come back? DEFINITELY. We come to the Lancaster several times a year, and we can see this becoming a place we would frequent again. Check them out, you won't be disappointed.

Also getting in 30 minutes early to the park is an extra perk (but be mindful not all rides open 30 minutes early). In the main building is Penley's Kitchen, a small grab and go/gift shop, an activity area, and an updated arcade. We got to experience a character meet and greet as well as a "dance party" on Saturday night. The arcade was a lot of fun too! Penley's kitchen was very convenient and highly recommend for breakfast (buffet and 4 and under eat free). Dinner was fine but the kitchen was overwhelmed and we waited a very long time for a salad and two kids chicken tenders. There is an indoor pool in a separate building between the splash pad and the outdoor pool. While it has great hours (9:30am-9:30pm), it is small and was overly crowded. There's a small kiddie pool and hot tub in the same building. There's also a lifeguard on duty. They ran out of towels our first visit but some were brought by the time we left. First visit no chairs were available. Second visit earlier in the evening was much better. The room was a standard king overlooking the pool area. There were fire pits which we used Saturday night. The room was fine-I would have preferred a softer mattress. The shower also did not completely stop coming out of the faucet so the tub filled up while taking a shower. The outdoor pool area looks great for summer! This will be where we stay from now on when visiting Dutch Wonderland!

The hotel attached to the park, we had issues:…read more -Musty room odor -Very loud shower -Black vegetation/flies/looks like a dead animal or dumping at parking lot/wooded area -they gave us the farthest room and told to walk through the grass field to get to the pool but there was a gross looking stream in the field with algae and grass clippings - it was an issue for one of my kids - Fireplaces in field were out of gas - Phone in room didn't work - 2 of the 3 tv remote controls didn't work - Paint on the bathroom floor - Breakfast buffet is passable - some dirty dishes though They sent someone to re-clean the room and gave us 15% off and breakfast vouchers, and they handled it nicely since they said they couldn't give us another room because they're booked. And almost everyone at the resort was helpful and friendly, the only critique would be one of the front desk people was a little unfriendly (not worthy of a bad review on its own but since I'm writing this I guess worth mentioning), and one of the maintenance guys stared me down. The restaurant staff was very friendly and attentive, but the food is meh. The drainage stream could be lined with stone or something to make it look intentional, or install some kind of drainage up gradient? The arcade is nice. I would only stay here again if we got one of the second floor rooms overlooking the pool, and I would have a backup plan. Because the location is great. We had a friend in one of those rooms that seemed to get more light, with no odor.

It's a lovely home that has been extended to add the B&B with Dane and Audrey taking great care in using antique tools so the build could resemble the original architecture and detailing. Located on several acres of rolling green land property has been in the family for 6 generations. The rooms are cozy country style with Queen size beds only no bathtubs but all with their own private bathrooms. Not a place for small children or rowdy groups/persons. No TV no radio no noise just nature and the creaking planks. The breakfasts were spectacular as much as possible is farm to table nothing is wasted. Absolutely lovely and recommended. If you are looking for serenity.

Her breakfast was very good- egg casserole, bacon, sausage, muffins, even whoopie pies. The room we stayed in was the Henry Room. Queen bed, private bathroom with shower...very very clean. The house is old and creaks a bit. There is a nice porch to sit on outside to enjoy some morning coffee or tea, or to unwind after exploring during the day. If you're looking for a place to relax and enjoy the serenity of the countryside, this place is for you. If you're looking to be close to town, or near some food establishment, stay closer to town.
