My child was over sedated for her procedure. She is 4 years old and only 30lbs. She was given…read moreversed, ketamine, and vistiril. The hygienist brought her to me after her procedure and said that she should start becoming aware and responsive after 15-20 min. I waited 30 min, she was still laying back in my arms with her eyes glazed over, non verbal/non responsive. I waited another 30 min and had to walk out of the room in to look for someone to check on her. Not once did they check her vitals after her procedure, the nurse anesthetist tried to convince me she was fine. Thankfully my husband showed up at that point and he immediately said that we need to call 911. He asked if they could call 911 and the staff said that wasnt necessary. So WE called 911 and she was brought to the hospital. She didn't become responsive until 3 HOURS after her procedure. She is home now, but she still is unable to walk or stand without falling down. I wish this didn't happen to my baby girl, so I'm at least posting this as a warning to hopefully prevent another child from going through the same thing or worse.​

It's all about the Bippo character, getting permission to take pictures to post on social media, giving the kids a gift after the visit, and things of this nature. Now, if you're thinking, well, this all seems like things that would help the child be comfortable, and want to return to the dentist. That would be a good assumption if the actual dental work area wasn't set up so badly. It's basically an open space. This means that they can see, hear, even smell all the other dental work going on, and that's insanely overstimulating to children. More specifically to our experience. After the dentist took a look at my son we were taken to a room to discuss further treatment. My son had some bad cavities, and I was told he would need to be given sedation, but not put completely out, and that he would be fastened to the chair, oh and that I could not be present for this. I left this place feeling helpless, crying, and not understanding how this could be the way to help my son. After I calmed down I looked around for other pediatric dentists, and found the care that he needed, and that I felt comfortable with. I hope other people have a good experience here, but I would never personally recommend this office to anyone I know.

The staff, particularly the dentist, spoke to me in a condescending and dismissive tone, as if I was a problem rather than a parent simply trying to advocate for my child. Rather than offering patience or understanding, I was met with rudeness and judgment. It was clear that my disability was viewed as an inconvenience, and I left feeling humiliated and unwelcome. No parent should be made to feel this way--especially not in a place that claims to care for families. Disability is not a burden. It's unacceptable for any medical professional, especially one working with children and families, to behave this way. I do not recommend this office to anyone, especially those in the disabled community. We deserve better.
