My 18-year-old son recently had a comprehensive exam and two cavities filled by Dr. Jonathan…read moreNguyen. The entire appointment lasted over three hours, which felt excessive for the procedures performed. During the visit, my son said the dentist appeared impatient and communication was minimal throughout the procedure. At one point my son requested to use the restroom multiple times but was told that if he got up they would have to start the dental work all over, which did not make sense to him and made him uncomfortable about asking again. The local anesthetic was also administered in a way that he described as quite uncomfortable, and there was little explanation about what was being done or what he should expect. When the procedure was finished, Dr. Nguyen left the exam room without providing any post-procedure instructions or checking back in. Although my son is 18, he is still a patient and deserves the same level of professional communication and respect that any adult patient would receive. Overall, this experience felt rushed, poorly communicated, and unnecessarily long. I hope the practice works on improving patient communication and professionalism, especially with young adult patients who are navigating dental care independently.

This happened to me a few years ago. So I go in for a cleaning and I'm told I need a deep cleaning…read more I do the deep cleaning to the tune of about $1200. The usual scare tactics of periodontal disease and heart attacks were used to talk me into this. While cutting part of my gums away they totally miss the fact that one of my back teeth had gone bad so they want to send me to some kind of specialist that I can't afford bc they don't do route canals. So I opt to just have it pulled. The younger female dentist pulls and pulls on the thing and then she just gives up and sends me out on the street in pain and my mouth all bloody with the bad tooth still in there. Oh well. Good luck right? Outrageous! So what I did is went to Covington and got a real dentist to pull the tooth. That guy charged me less than $150 and it came out painlessly. That guy was an experienced professional dentist. Don't be drawn in. These folks are just there to fleece you and if you actually have periodontal disease they should be sending you to a periodontist. Think it out. They'll send you to somebody bc they don't even attempt serious dentistry like a route canal but they are qualified to handle periodontal disease? Not bloody likely. SCAMMERS. Incompetent.

Nice staff, pretty quick. Teeth cleanings are a little on the pricey side (around $160+) but other than that, it's not too busy or hard to get an apt.

The hygienist is fantastic--chatty in the best way, helping take the edge off any nerves during cleanings. It's clear she genuinely cares about patient comfort. Water everywhere. Not enough suction. A while back I brought my motorcycle gear in. When I went to check out I placed it on the floor right up against the wall closest to the staff upfront. This was not a tripping hazard. There was PLENTY of room for people to get through. An assistant and a patient came into the area where I was standing. The female assistant then said "we need to move this out of the way" She just started grabbing my gear and placing it up on the counter. Don't grab someone else's gear. It was not in the way. A line doesn't form up against the wall. There was only two patients present ready to check out. Ask the patient if you can move their gear. There aren't any signs posted showing patients where to stand in line. How RUDE and inappropriate. I have noticed a negative dynamic in the past with some staff upfront. I noticed recently when I was leaving a new staff member made sure not to make eye contact or say goodbye and I was in her close proximity. Very unusual. I have noticed small irritations with the Dentist. One involved an irritation regarding a tongue issue. Another involved an obvious impatient gesture, because I wasn't talking and/ or moving fast enough. If you ask a patient a question then expect them to answer. This is not about being overly sensitive. This is about wanting normalcy. Time to move on.
