I had donated for the first time and my blood came out clean, no problems. However, I had a dizzy spell and fainted in the chair since I didn't hydrate enough. The nurse called me the next day and deferred me since I had a fainting spell. It was a total rip off. They wouldn't even consider I wasn't hydrated enough. They just wrote me off like I was just some idiot who couldn't handle getting plasma drawn. So, the debit card they gave me will be ripped up and thrown in the garbage. I was trying to save up money to take my family on vacation, but instead I got screwed. Would not recommend going to this facility. read more

There are some days I get in and it's an hour. Other days I get in and it's an hour before I even get anywhere. The wait is horrendous and the people who work there have no clue what they are doing. The people who do what they are doing know to move on and leave. read more

since i've been donating here it's always felt comfortable and easy. the entirety of the staff team are affable and knowledgeable, so worrying isn't something i do. it's a win-win to donate, you're helping a lot of people in a big way, while also helping yourself, i feel the compensation is very good for your time and sources. i mean, who doesn't like establishing good, fun relationships with new people? in conclusion, i highly recommend the wausau biolife location. read more

If I could give this a zero review I would. I had a promotion sent via email. This promotion was not 100% clear as to if I needed to donate twice or once to receive it. When I was at my appointment I asked if it was once or twice. I was told once for this week and all future weeks twice. When I received my compensation it was not what the promo advertised. I contacted BioLife through an online form and had a few emails back and forth explaining the situation. The guy said that it needed to be two donations in one week to receive it. He said marketing could have done better at explaining that and the person I spoke with at the center should have known that, but he offered no resolution to the problem. The promo was so unclear that I asked for clarification, received the clarification, and still they would not honor it. I received a "nope, that's just how it is, everyone else knows that" type response. I will never go back. Also, this last time I was there, my arm hurt for two days and had extensive bleeding and bruising. I did nothing different but the tech needed to "adjust" the needle while it was still in my arm, something that no one else needed to do... read more

I've maybe "drawn the short end of the stick" with Biolife but I have had communication issues with the center in Wausau. When I first visited, it took three appointments before they could get my paperwork in line. The first time it was because I had registered 15 years ago (never donated) at another facility. The second time, it was not communicated that I needed to bring my marriage license to prove my identity (which I felt was overkill). The third time was successful but my visit ended up to be a total of three hours due to the wait for a physical. However, I decided to go back and try again. I had yet another disappointing encounter. After the front desk attendant pulled out my file, I was asked for my driver's license and the front desk attendant asked me if my address was correct. I said no so she asked me for proof of address. I was confused because I've gone through all of the paperwork and hassle with my previous visits and three donations. She asked if I received a phone call, I said no. Never-the-less, I had my mortgage book in my purse (providing the address that matches the address Biolife has on file) and she refused to look at it. Instead she asked me to pull up my electronic banking information. I think that was pushing the lines of personal information especially with the identity theft issues and was irritated that this is happening AGAIN. So she said I need to reschedule and come back with proof of address. Clearly she did not know what a mortgage was because it had all the information she needed. Really disappointing that Biolife has my plasma, driver's license, marriage certificate, social security card, finger print, photo, signature and current address.............Can you see why I am a but frustrated with my encounter? read more
