I would not recommend Bone and Joint. I went to their walk-in in Rib Mountain for severe back pain. The gal who saw me didn't listen to me at all. Her solution for my pain was to prescribe gabapentin and cyclobenzeprene. I told her I had already tried both and they didn't help at all. She prescribed both anyways. After jumping through their hoops and going to PE at Bone and Joint, another joke, an MRI was ordered. This was months ago and they've never called me to let me know the results are in or to go over the results. It was all just a money grab. Prescribe pills and order tests and then never even give me the results or come up with a plan to help me. I will never set foot in there again. After this experience, I've talked to so many people about their negative experiences from Bone and Joint. Wish I would have known this ahead of time. LESSON LEARNED! read more

I've seen several Dr's there and I was very happy with all of them. The staff are all friendly and willing to help you.

I saw Kevin Miller there for knee injections , I was very impressed by him, he was very personable and put me at ease. The knee injections were totally painless, and i am feeling so much better. I highly recommend him. read more

I was seen for back problems while there Dr. Sahota order a MRI and I am glad she did. With her being so proficient she discovered I had a spot on my left kidney. She ordered more test and found out I have cancer. By her doing this we found it early and will get it taken care of. Dr. Sahota and her staff has been great and has been helping us through it all even though they didn't need to. read more

Would not recommend bone and joint Wausau for any surgery first off my wife went to them for her shoulder she was informed that there was nothing they could do for her she ended up going through marshfield clinic to have her shoulders fixed I should've learned a lesson from this but I needed a total knee replacement surgery well it first started that I had to quit using chewing tobacco then take a blood test to prove it to them well when I went for my appointment I was informed that I had not lost enough weight for them to do the surgery well the last time I checked I was fucking paying them to do the surgery not the other way round so now i am trying to get a appointment with marshfield clinic to see if they will fix my knees read more

I went there to have a chronic swollen finger looked at. After driving 4+ hours the Dr who saw me spent approximatley 3 minutes, barely even touched my finger and just shrugged his shoulders and said "I'm not sure, you're an enigma" and sent me on my way. Cost me an entire day off of work, and like 250$ out of pocket. Bullshit in my opinion. read more

I have been doctoring with Dr. Stuempfig and have been very impressed with his thoroughness and concern for my lower back issues. I have been able to meet with him several times via tele-med which saves about 4 hours on the road and our in-person appointments have been very good. Highly recomended! read more

I had an unexpected injury to my left knee that led to a walk-in visit, followed by MRI and eventually surgery with Dr. Priebe. The care was amazing by all from the providers to registration to insurance authorization to business office and finally the BJOSC staff. This is the 4th orthopedic surgery I've had with Bone and Joint and highly recommend them to others. read more

The staff there are rude and not interested in helping you. My son had been to see two separate Dr.'s on different occasions because of elbow issues in which his issues needed a more Specialized Dr. than the Bone and Joint could offer to do the procedure that needed to be done. We saw a more specialized Dr. who was wonderful and seemed to have fixed the elbow problem my son was having up until recently when my son started having elbow pain and issues similar to previously before elbow surgery. I took my son to the Dr. who performed the surgery in which he did x-rays and looked at my son's elbow and found nothing wrong from the x-rays, however, wanted an MRI done to see if there was something more detailed that an x-ray will not pick up. I requested to have the MRI done back home in Wausau for the Dr. who did the surgery is almost 3 hrs away and to drive that amount of time for an MRI and back home is absurd. So the Dr. wrote out a prescription for the MRI to be taken to the Bone and Joint in Rib Mountain where my son got the first 2 MRI's initially. I proceeded to contact Bone and Joint to get an appt set up so I could contact the insurance company to do a Prior Authorization for the MRI so to get it approved to be paid for prior to my son getting the MRI which is a standard process to do before a procedure or getting any kind of scans, ect..... The woman I spoke to was very rude and condescending to me about the whole thing and stated that my son's case is complex and she needed to read the notes from the Dr. who referred him to the Dr. who did the surgery and then proceeded to say after all this nonsense that they may need the Dr.'s notes from the surgery to know exactly why the MRI is needing to be done. She then asks if my son is having surgery in which I explained to her in the beginning the reason for my call and the need for the MRI and he had surgery already. The woman then says that they only take referrals from the Dr. and facility verbally and that I cannot set up an appt and the prescription/paper copy the Dr. gave me cannot be used. After more nonsense from the woman, I hung up on her for I was getting no where with talking to her. I went back in to the Dr.'s office where my son saw the Dr. who did his surgery and explained the ongoing issues I was having with getting an appt set up and that I could not and that the Dr. can only be the one to make the referral. So they attempted to assist me and contact the Bone and Joint in which no one answered so they could not make the referral over the phone to them as had been requested by the Nurse I spoke with at Bone and Joint. So the Dr.'s office was going to send a faxed prescription/referral to the Bone and Joint and told me to call them in the morning to set up an appt after they have received the fax with the prescription/referral. So my son and I headed back home without an appt set up. Come to today, I proceed to do as I was directed to do and call the Bone and Joint in Rib Mountain to set up an appt to have an MRI done because the prescription/referral would have been faxed to them by my son's Dr. who did his surgery. Well, I get the run around by the initial receptionist and then is transferred to a Manager named Erin who goes on to say she does not know what the whole situation is about and that she would need to consult with the staff about this and figure out a plan and get back to me in which I ask how long that will be for I was informed that once the prescription/referral was faxed to them by my son's Dr. that I would be able to set up an appt. The Manager Erin proceeds to say she cannot do anything to help me right now until she talks with staff and she would call me back. I wait for a few hours and then receive a call back with Erin stating to me that she spoke with Dr. Glennon at the Bone and Joint in Rib Mountain who said that my son cannot have an MRI done there because none of the Dr.'s there ordered it and that is their policy to not take any outside referrals other than their own. What a bunch of crap that is. My son was seen multiple times before at Bone and Joint and Dr. Glennon clearly knew what my son's issues were for she was the one making the referral to the more specialized Dr. because she did not have the capability of doing it herself. Dr. Glennon clearly knew what the procedure my son needed to have done with his elbow so this is not like she had no idea as to why he would need to be coming in for an MRI if it was to get his elbow looked at more specifically because x-rays do not show anything. I am not sure how having an MRI is such a problem to be completed at the Bone and Joint even if the prescription/referral came from a different Dr. elsewhere. I am extremely disappointed in the Bone and Joint Clinic in Rib Mountain specifically, however, in general overall that I will be encouraging others to not go there and find somewhere else where the Dr.'s and the atmosphere is more caring!! read more

The first time I went to the clinic I went through the screening process. I first listened to the two front desk personnel argue with each other. I thought this was very unprofessional. I then met with the doctor (Dr. Martin). I was seeing the doctor for severe knee pain. Did X-rays. I was satisfied with his description and analysis. I then got a cortisone shot, upon getting the shot I went home and upon walking into my house I stepped on my first step and my left knee felt like someone put a tomato under my foot and squashed it. I went back to the doctor where they did an MRI and told me that I tore the muscle above my knee cap. At which time the doctor stated that this sometimes happens with a cortisone shot. He stated that I needed to let this heal before we did anything else. I returned to the doctor 9/1/21 first appointment of the morning, upon going into the office I was wearing a face shield which seemed to upset the receptionist. She insisted that I wear one of their masks. I informed her that the face shield was the safest because nothing can penetrate that. At no time did she offer information otherwise. I went into my doctor's appointment where a lady took information from me regarding my health concerns. Apparently you need to have a tape recorder with you so you can record the conversations. I say this because when the doctor came into the office he proceeded to rip me a new a**hole because the lady that took my health concerns down apparently told the doctor that I blamed him for giving me the shot that tore my muscle. I only repeated to her what he had told me from a previous appointment that it was possible for the cortisone shot to cause the muscle tear. My doctor seemed extremely upset and I felt like I was being persecuted at the doctor's office. At this point I am extremely afraid to have any further work done at this facility due to the animosity within the employees at the facility. They obviously feel that they have to get even with each other through the patients. I have had three appointments which have been a complete waste of time and money. I will be searching for a reputable facility. I feel that having any further appointments would not be in my best interest. read more

I had total knee replacements on both knees in 2014 and Dr. Priebe was my surgeon. I have absolutely no regrets and the outcome is amazing. The scars are straight and thin. He stitched the inside and glued the outside so the scar line is very small. I am very pleased with his work and would recommend him to anyone. He's personable and helpful read more

After injuring my knee, I was seen at the Bone and Joint Clinic by Dr. Dan Johnston. Dr. Johnston was very knowledgeable and conscientious of my injury and was careful not to cause pain during his assessment. Following my MRI, he called with the basics of the results before my follow up appointment to reassure me that surgery was not needed. I appreciate his care and concern as well as his expertise. I know that I am in good hands at Bone and Joint Clinic! read more
