the staff at this location are very rude ! my tech didn't know what they were doing while getting me set up! while getting set up she left mid getting me ready 3 different times. another nurse came and i was told that it was in wrong. I then proceeded to wait in lobby and was told that I wasnt allowed to tell the person I was on the phone with what happened and they told me I had to end the call I do not recommend this location to anybody stay away !!! read more

I've been donating for over a month. I've been deferred due to a number getting put in the system wrong when they do the initial screening. And also deferred once because the app allowed me to schedule an appointment on a day that it shouldn't have allowed. The only major issue I had was with my last donation. The phlebotomist got the needle in wrong and during the blood return my arm started bubbling up. I looked down and it freaked me out because the machine wasn't catching the error and stopping. I waved my other arm and called for help. A team came over and shut off the machine and switched arms. Most of the team is friendly although I've had a few rude encounters which really don't bother me after the initial moment passes. What does bother me is the thought of getting stuck wrong again. If even one phlebotomist isn't trained well then I feel like I'll be taking a chance on having a minor or major issue. Since they are short staffed and over worked I can only imagine the likelihood of errors being higher. My arm is pretty sore and bruised from my forearm, elbow, all the way up my bicep! Yikes! Could have been worse. It could have been an artery or nerve that got stuck by mistake. read more

Every week they change the compensation rates. This week it got lowered to$90 for the week. I've been donating for over 10 years and the rates have never changed as much as they do now. The "rewards" program is also a slap in the face compared to some of the programs they've done in the past. I've never been a huge fan of them anyway. Here's a thought: rewarding donors who have been donating for years loyally instead of paying out thousands to new people who stop once they get the extra money. That would make people happy and wouldn't cause crazy wait times, which are our of control sometimes. read more

The new point system and payments are making me think about quitting. 1250 points you get $5.00. So they pay less now $40 & $60, and get 200 points per donation. So after a month you get $5.00. Plus the payments used to hit your card while you were still there. Now the payments can be delayed by a day. Also you used to get $100 referral bonus, now it's 200 points which is like 80 cents. Why would anyone refer anyone anymore. Also many of the staff will be just walking around gossiping and playing ignoring alarms going off. I had to raise my hand and flag someone down. I said I used to work here, how long have I been done. She said 12 minutes and then unhooked me, there were only like 12 people donating so being left sitting is annoying. I have also sat on a bed for an hour before being hooked up. The pay is too low now. ​ read more

Total Shady Sh*t Show. Go to CSL. $525 in 5 on the card before I leave the location. Card pulls to cash app. $50 then $60 after that every other and a rewards system for frequent donors. Friendly helpful staff and excellent phlebotomists. Never a bruise. Frequent skip the line passes for frequent donors. WiFi and an app that lets you prescreen your interview. Cuts to the vital signs when you get there. 90 min to 2 hours to turn it around if there's a wait and a line of donors. Not a staffing issue. Lots of happy DONORS. Hour to do the actual donation. Been to all three plasma places in the Fort and I'll NEVER go back to BIOLIFE. CSL feels like a friendly place where they remember and appreciate you and your donation. read more

So, Biolife used to pay really well, but the more you donate, the less they pay. We used to get extra money for referrals, not we get points which take forever to add up. I used to get paid $125 week, now they are offering $90. With gas prices and inflation, it isn't really worth the $90 a week. I could pick up 3 extra hours at work and make this. I will donate for about 3 more weeks, because I had plans with the money, then after that I'm done. I enjoyed donating, but I'm saving lives, and they just getting greedy. I used to come here all the time to donate , took like an hour, I came back for a promotion and oh my God has this place gotten bad , 2 1/2 - 3 hours it takes, there's 1 person to check you in and do vitals , MANAGEMENT should do a better job at either staffing , placing people in the correct spot, or just plain don't let people schedule an appointment read more

Well the staff are rude... there isn't usually enough people to get the line in and out.. they have a whole two bays they don't use! Contrary to the previous reviewer, I was not lucky enough to even be greeted with open arms and professional demeanors. My first, and last, experience with this place was most definitely less than pleasant. It was my first time at BioLife and as a new donor, I knew that there were some additional questions and exam that I was supposed to undergo before I would be eligible. I made an appointment and hurried to make it on time (and I arrived early!) after work one day. When I arrived there was a fairly long line of people waiting to be taken back and there were only 3 techs on the floor taking vitals. Nobody was free at the front desk. I was in no hurry and I quietly waiting until someone would be available to greet me. I could tell they were understaffed and had no problems waiting at all. After several minutes I was greeted by another employee who came from the back. Immediately I could tell by her demeanor this was the last place she wanted to be. She greeted me and began the check-in process and getting me set up in the system. We struggled to get the system to acknowledge my fingerprints on the scanner (which I've always had a problem with.) but her frustration was beyond obvious. Her body language and her tone indicated that this error was simply my lack of intelligence on how to place my finger on a scanner as opposed to any other possible reason. By the time she was able to get it to work, she was so agitated that I was uncomfortable. Don't worry, I was lucky enough to have her walk me through the rest of the process. Or rather, rush me. She didn't speak but rather barked at me in short, snippy orders on where to follow her and where to stand to wait. Rushing the entire time with little acknowledgment of this being entirely new to me and I might have questions. She even scolded me for having a long sleeve shirt on - which I was happy to remove and pull my undershirt sleeves up properly had she allowed me a moment to respond. Luckily my final screening I was handed off to another woman who was much more pleasant and kind. Unfortunately, I ultimately was unable to be a donor due to some other medical issues. After what was hands down the most uncomfortable experience I've had in a long while, I can only say that this news came as a relief as it means I will never have to visit this place again and run the risk of dealing with such an unpleasant woman. read more

It always take 45 minutes - 1 hour more then it should. Every time I usually lay in the chair for 20 minutes before they even come by. Just expect a very long time and this is when they are barely busy. Everyone here is very nice though! read more

I got stabbed in the back as I expected would happen when I left after a visit to the Getz Rd, Ft Wayne, Indiana location.. I requested my info to be confidential, and they gave me their word.. They immediately betrayed me.. I returned within minutes of leaving to express my concerns about info I should have never volunteered.. They said I had nothing to worry about.. This was a test to see if they could be trusted.. They failed.. Now I see why they only had a 2 star rating.. BioLife on Getz Rd will accept you with open arms, act very nice and professional, but within a month funny things start to happen..for instance I was told my new donor pay would go as follows...50, 70...50, 70...60, 80...50, 70. Equaling $500. When my 60 dollar day came, mympay had been rearranged as follows...50,70..50,70...50,60...70,80. ..and on the highest paying days I suddenly.had low protein. This last time I was to receive a frequency bonus, I donated on Saturday for $20 and I went Monday, my second donation in a week..I was to receive $50 plus an extra $60 . $110. I received $80 and was told Sunday starts a new week so I got $20 and $60. This week, my $50 day was Saturday again. So I had low.protein again..if I go.tomorrow it will be.my.third $20 donation in a row. They're scamming people. Believe me or not. I've lost my happiness at the process because of them. I'm considering going to csl.i hear they are straight shooters and don't screw people out of their bonuses. It's bad enough they give u pennies on the dollars they receive for YOUR plasma and pain. But they want to steal your bonuses too? I'm surprised they're in business. If we all stop donating for a week they might pay more and keep their word about bonuses. Just a thought. read more
