I went as a first timer to donate plasma. Appointment was at 4:30pm, after the wait time to get checked in, fill out a form on a computer, and test my blood for protein and iron and passing I was able to see a nurse and get a physical, she asked about tattoos, and earring piercing and checked my heart and lympnodes. At 6:30 they sat me in a lounge chair where a nurse came up and put on a cuff to restrict blood flow and she felt with a finger for my vein on right arm, and then left. She said my left arm wasn't good enough so I had to come back in 7 days and walked away after saying lift some dumb bells to increase veins. Literally a 30 sec check no poke or trying my veins and sent me away. I am assuming she was rushing to get me out since it was close to closing time and on a Friday night. I guess they don't need new donors either. I will be going elsewhere to donate. Don't waste your time here they don't need any new customers/donations or they would not have been so rude either. read more

Mia is good. But had horrible experience 2times in a row with other TECHS. I now have 2 really bad injuries, I hoping I don't have to go to the Dr with. The TECHS wandered off talking I had to scream out for help, blood pouring, got all over my clothes. I want go back unless the get certified TECHS upgraded well trained. This GIRL didn't put on the heart rate monitor on right the first time and I asked someone else to do it, the machine kept malfunctioning. I went to go donate plasma today to help save a life. I was scheduled to come in for physical and a first time donor at 7 AM. I got seen by the nurse for the physical only took 10 minutes after that I went to the donors floor to donate, and it only took me 38 minutes to donate in. All customer service was good. There was no long lines the tech was nice. The service was very quick for my time of being there. The facility was clean and our refer anybody if they want to help save a life to go to that plasma center to donate plasma thank you. read more

I love BioLife but the Burleson location sucks. Drive a little and go to a different one! Staff is laud immature, SLOW and extremely unprofessional. Since there is such a need for plasma and they offer incentives, I thought I would donate. The first time it took 2 hours for the process just to get in the chair. I wasn't able to donate because the girl forgot to attach the bag so all my plasma ended up on the floor!!! Fortunately it was only going for about 5 minutes when another patient pointed it out because they don't check on you. Today, I showed up for an 11:30 appointment. There was only 1 person screening people and no one was at the front desk! I did my survey and then asked around to the line which was about 18 people in front of me. All the seats were taken for people finished with the screening and waiting to donate. It had to be at least a 2-3 hour wait to get into a chair and only one section was open. I don't understand how they decide to allow that many appointments when they clearly don't have the staff for it. read more

I would give a lot lower if I could. Today has been the worst here in my year coming. Short staffed and there are even Regional Managers here doing an inspection. Line to donate has been 20 deep, and then another 30 minute in the chair just to get setup for donation. As supervisors over a location, maybe help out and set up machines and get donors going and finish the inspection during the down time. I have been donating since 2017. I have watched so many people leave, I wonder why. This place was like a well oiled machine and now, well my appointment time was 9:45 am CST. There are 15+ in front to be tested with 1 doing the work. This is getting worse everytime I visit. I am all for understanding delays due to COVID, but this isn't just an occasional occurrence. COVID didn't just get here, it seems there isn't enough staff to accommodate the volume of allowed appointments. I think a good look at why this location can't staff, or retain staff needs to happen. read more

I've been to this center multiple times. And multiple times I've gotten a hematoma. Everyone seems in a rush because the scheduling system is worthless. You wait forever. I've found that the staff is over worked which causes a major delay in the process and a lot of bad attitudes. I didn't catch her name ( heavy set african american young lady) but she acted as If she was a manager which surprised me because she was oblivious on how to properly address people that are donating. I watched her address a gentleman in the most unprofessional way and then had the nerve to be surprised and offended by the reaction she received from her actions. Not everyone donating is out of work, most people just need that extra to help making it to the next paycheck. However, she is either naturally rude, figured he was a dead beat or just assumed that she could treat this person that way. I watched the whole altercation and once she noticed she took it too far she wanted to have the gentleman removed. It's crazy cause again I saw the whole situation and she was very rude and unprofessional and it wasn't until he had enough of her actions when he responded with her same rude and disrespectful energy. I say this to say, some of us just need the extra money but that doesn't give your staff the right to treat people like that. This was not my 1st time watching that same lady be that way with people. You may want to handle that situation before she catches the wrong person that doesn't know how to just walk away. (Not a threat, just an observation) the only reason I still go to this location is because I live in Alvarado and it is on my way home from work and like I said Xtra bill money. Also, some of the staff was very rude to me, and my wife when I had to leave her because there wasn't enough room. Terrible experience today. I have been a donor in Arlington, TX since June. My job is in Burleson, TX so I decided to go to the Burleson center today to save some drive time. They were rude, made me lay in my bed waiting for 20 minutes, and wouldn't let me donate because "my veins were too close together". Then they sent me away without even trying. It was very frustrating. I would have been better off making the 45 minute drive to Arlington. Then, as if that's not enough, a patient across from me seemed to be having a HORRIBLE experience. Blood was literally all over her and the bed! The phlebotomist was holding her hands up and blood was dripping off her gloves. It was horrifying! I immediately got on the Biolife app and cancelled all the future appointments I had made. I will either be going back to Arlington or not donating at all. It's incredibly frustrating that I wasn't even given the chance to try to donate and therefore missed the opportunity to earn the extra Christmas money. Their front desk person, Christina, gives out incorrect information and then is rude and argumentative about it her misinformation. She will have you rounding up documents you don't need to become a client there and then not tell you about a key document you actually do need, therefore wasting your time running back and forth from home. She needs some training or re-training. She also needs an attitude adjustment and to lose her superior attitude. If you go there just try to have someone else help you, she is incompetent. read more

I told her and told her that I was a first time donor. My appointment was at 2:40 by the time I was done with the physical and being herded from one place to another each followed by a wait it was 4:05 before I was finally able to get to the bed where you donate only to lay there for 15 minutes and be pretty much ignored. The young guy Robert who was doing the insertion of the needles looked and behaved as if he was absolutely bothered to be there. Barely uttered a word and when he did it was to mumble to take a bed. Talk about an assembly line feeling. I had spoken to one of the nurses when going back for yet another round of questions; I have been here over an hour just to do the physical and she said apparently they are so busy they can barely keep up. I should have left then; screw the $40. If I did that and decided to donate another day I would just have to start over; great!! I want to waste another hour. This place has definitely gone down hill. The entire experience is horrible. They make so much $ of the my donation when they sell my plasma and they pay me a lousy $40. No more! Still waiting after 20 minute laying here. Robert just stomped off from my machine pissed off about something. So still waiting! He finally gets to me and put the needle in, more mumbling. He gets the needle in and then has to adjust it twice, cursing under his breath. Finally after the 4th time adjusting he says I am going to have to do the other arm. Now I have been here exactly 2 hours and I still have not donated. I said thank you Robert I have been here for two hours I will have to come back another day. I'm genuinely confused on why there's so many terrible reviews. Everyone is always so friendly and welcoming. I feel bad for these underpaid and understaffed workers at this facility. A lot of the people reviewing have seemed to forgotten that this place pays you for a product. Most plasma facilities (especially in the October-January months) get backed up and wait times become longer. It's free money, so no complaints here. read more

This place is getting worse each time I go in. This morning only 12 chairs were open with 2 techs and a new employee being trained. The new employee moved in slow motion and was overwhelmed....I understand, probably her first day. I watched the lobby line growing to the point that probably 4 dozen people were waiting in line, chairs and waiting room. The turnover of employees here is ridiculous. Last 2 visits and today I required having IV restarted and developed hematomas. This prevents me from donating again in a timely manner and then I'm unable to earn the full promotion amount. I don't think the management is working to fix these issues because I started donating in Nov. 2020 and the service is going downhill (if that's even possible). read more

Well nothing has changed. They have two screeners and could have 6. They have 4 sections open when they have like 10-12. So beds for 24 patients and have over that amount still waiting for a bed.
