I encountered her on different occasions and she is the same no matter when you go. You must undergo an medical assessment in order to donate plasma. After this process you will be taken into the main donation room to make your contribution. The other employees are very kind and courteous. You just have to make it past the nurse and then you'll be fine. Good way to earn pocket money and help others. I just pray they find another nurse because that one shouldn't be working with the public. I take off two stars for her lack of professionalism.

They never tried to contact me to let me know it was cancelled. It not the first time that the Red Cross showed a disregard for my time as a donor. Their first response was to blame it on the volunteers when I contacted them. They said they were sorry it happened but there was nothing in place to prevent it in the future. My hat is off to the workers that draw and process the blood. Their management sucks. It should make everyone concerned for our blood supply.

Not sure the reason for the low rating. My first impressions of this plasma center was positive…read more The service was efficient, facility appeared well kept, and the staff was hospitable. My visit took longer than expected though. I have good veins and drink plenty of water so I rarely have any issues. Maybe the nurse was new I'm not sure. Just know she kept having to adjust the needle. My donation from start to finish took almost 3 hours. Not fun. I liked that they have squeeze balls readily available, well it's more like a styrofoam roll but works the same. Also liked that they call you by name when they are ready for you. Other centers that I've gone to don't do this. Only wish that they'd speak louder or come out to the waiting area when they call your name. Overall, solid first impression, would come here again if in the area.

This is getting worse! I went to the Baltimore place, they said my appointment was for later and…read morethey would not change it. Mind you, they had 3 nurses on the counter and only 5 donors in line. I check the app, the place in Towson could see me. The Biolife app has the wrong address! Now I'm lost, and I'm late for the Towson appointment, they won't change it. I reschedule again for the place in Baltimore who NOW can see me earlier ‍ Now the Baltimore place has 1 person on the counter and a line of about 20 people. How was this better than seeing me earlier?! By the time I'm finally reach the counter (1 hour and 15 minutes later!) I'm mad. Guess what happens when you're mad? Your heart rate goes up! Now they won't see me because my heart rate is higher than my normal rate. I left without donating. How is this better than DoorDashing?! I think they make you miss donations so you won't get the new donor bonus (you have to make 8 donations in 30 days).

How crazy life can be I was talking to a friend about how to get a few extra dollars, one weekend…read morethey told me about Octapharma Plasma! I said what do you mean, donate your plasma and they pay you for your donation, they take the plasma and do different things with it to save lives! I said great how fabulous is God I live right next-door to one didn't even know about it. To get that out-of-the-way I went over there to find out what the process was didn't seem to be too hard. The initial visit takes about 3 hours you have to take with you, your Social Security card, two pieces of mail with your address and photo Id. Then you go through a binder they give you to read, watch a short video, then you Waite to get a physical, once that's done, you're passing envelope with your card that you're Money goes on then you go over and wait to get in the chair to give your donation once your finish and everything is processed, they tell you on what days you are to come in on.your first five visits you receive $50 after that it goes down by a few dollars! The staff is very pleasant, I went here to get the extra money that's the field I genuinely love. But like I said I needed the extra money, not knowing when I went over there I was going to get offered a job I've been talking about going back into the nursing field because that's where my heart is. That's so yes I am applying and practically no I will get the job, God looks out for those who praise his name. The main idea if you don't mind donating to help others save a life with your plasma and it helps your pocket out, at the same time Octapharma plasma is a great place to get a few extra dollars when you may need it, for a small bill or a few groceries stop bye, any Octapharma plasma location get the work up and walk out with the few dollars you may need to pay that small bill to put some formula in your babies mouth to put some gas in your car are you just want to help out with maybe trying to help somebody else have a life I hope my review encourages you to stop by to help save a life may God bless you and be blessed!

I've been to several Red Cross locations, but this was my first visit to Mount Hope. I stopped here…read morespecifically because I had business in the area and it was the closest donation center. The welcome area and lobby are brand new, contemporary and quite beautiful. There was no one in the waiting area and from what I could see no donors were in the lab area. According to the Red Cross mobile app scheduling for that afternoon was wide open but I was having trouble scheduling via the app. Thought I could just walk-in and be assisted with scheduling by Red Cross staff. Not the case. The slovenly low-energy woman at the welcome counter was gloriously rude and unhelpful. Ended up leaving Mount Hope without donating and going to the York Road center a few days later. Stay away from Mount Hope if you can. They are miserable.

As I entered the donation area, I was once again, immediately greeted. Each person with which I interacted was VERY professional and courteous. I was seen almost immediately (in advance of my appointment time). The technician that took care of me (Ms. S) was one of the fastest and most polite people I have ever had the fortune with which to work (not that I did much). Her donation stick was painless and fast. She explained each step of the process and what to do and expect post donation. The 'recovery' canteen was bountiful. I took in my share of cookies and juices. Upon my departure, I was thanked again and given a t-shirt.
