Sure, they may not want to be known for their cookies, but OMG, their cookies are amazing. I'm talking about the ones near the register. They had some samples out, the husband and I tried a piece, and we ended up buying two. Chewy, amazing, oatmeal raisin cookies. For that alone, go here! Now, beyond cookies, this is an organic shop that is really top notch. They pack a lot into a little store, and I don't have trouble finding things. It's like they actually think about it and designed the store for ease of use (novel concept, I know!). The brands they stock here are fantastic. They sell about 6 types of lentils, a great selection of fresh produce (some interesting, non-traditional veggies, too!), herbs, spices, almond milk, snacks to go, bread, coconut milk and what seems like almost every type of 'super food' out there. Need nuts, goji berries, red quinoa, black quinoa, white chia seeds? Look no further. If you want it and its organic I bet this place has it. And that is a lot more than I can say for some of the bigger shops like Marqt or Eko Plaza. And....that is not all.....wait for it....wait for it...wait for it.....They are open late. What?! Open late? Like, how late? Like past 9pm on a weekday late? Yes. Yes, you heard me. This store is open late enough for you to go to work, go to the gym and then go grocery shopping. That is a minor miracle in Amsterdam. Also, the people that work here are really friendly. All in all, a very good addition to the 'hood. And they are open late!

I have been looking for a bottle of Noni Juice for the past year in Amsterdam, so low and behold it was right under my nose at Eko Plaza. As per the invoice, I was prepared to pay EUR 4 for extra the cart (box). Additionally, I have prepared the cart (box) from the previous order of Ekoplaza to give back in exchange for the new one. The delivery person refused to take the previous Ekoplaza cart (box) in exchange for the new one. He refused to take EUR 4 payment for the new cart (box) either. He could not explain why. He only kept raising his voice at me and insisting that I empty the cart (box) he brought immediately. Considering that it was a man almost 2 meters tall, it looked very menacing. On top of that, he did not keep social distance and was NOT wearing a mask. After I said that I would not be unpacking in a rush, he started taking my food out and putting it directly on the floor. When I asked him to stop doing that, he said he was fed up, that I could keep the cart, and stormed out. All done in a raised voice, to which my neighbors could be witnesses, as they easily heard everything through their doors. Right after this incident I called customer support and reported it to the agent that picked up. She recommended calling the shop directly and explaining them. But their phone is not mentioned anywhere. So instead I wrote an email to the customer support describing this situation. The next day I received a call from a representative of the store. He called to tell me that the delivery person was right and I was wrong. Without even offering an apology for the rude and inappropriate behavior of their delivery personnel or asking any questions. Really, really bad service. This is not the way to treat returning customers. It was definitely my last online order with Ekoplaza and I will not be going to the store which sent this delivery either.
