If mister (racist right wing politician) Wilders wants to arrange for less Maroccan people In the Netherlands, then he has never been here. Very small indeed but packed to the ceiling with more variety of food ware than you can imagine. If you need something from a recipe and you've never heard of it before: Mabrouk has it. The most kind and cheerfull guys are working here, working their butts off and fast as humanly possible :) The check-out line goes through the shop and is sometimes very very long (almost the whole shop) but don't you worry, you'll be next to pay in minutes. Also: do come here when your budget is low, the prices are really moderate. Fresh fruits and vegetables are increasingly biological, the meat still isn't but since Mart Smeets buys his meat here, I guess it's the best! Check the pictures. I just love love love Mabrouk!

I would pass Mabrouk multiple times, completely oblivious of what a a gem it is. I decided to wonder on in here out of curiousity, and loved everybit of it. My eyes lit up over so many of their products. The only downer about this market, it can get real tight in here. Never the less, Mabrouk has some great products worth checking out and the majority of the items are price reasonable. Surprisingly you will also find a few gluten-free products in here as well.

They have a bunch of Eastern European stuff and it is way different than your normal Dutch grocery store in the way of products that they have. I really enjoyed walking through the ailes and checking out off the different things they had. Only drawback... almost nothing was labeled in Dutch or English, I guess Dutch people are not who they are trying to attract here, but would still be nice to have a description in Dutch for things. (I would probably end up buying more that way too!) I ended up with a random bag of stuff and so far everything that I have tried has been decent. I will definitely go back because I like having variety. If you like perogi (potato dumpling from Poland) check this place out...there are a lot on hand in the frozen food section. I picked a bag that had pictures of ingredient on it that I thought looked good. :-)

While walking in this place, I could have sworn I was just in a shop in Poland! Have to say that they have quite some fresh products (meat/sausages/bread) and also some vegetables. Best part is that they sell the small cucumbers needed to create the Polish Ogorki. We just bought almost a kilo of them and tomorrow they will be prepared :) If you want to find some different things, other than the standard things you can find in any regular supermarket in the Netherlands (including some very nice sausages!) definetly do enter here once and buy some things that look good :)
