Unassuming place with good sushi and service. my bad only taking on roll pick. Crazy Tiger- Eel, crab stick, avocado, topped w/salmon, shrimp, lemon ponzu, eel sauce & sriracha. Very fresh and good. Also had great salmon skin hand roll. Lots of flavor and well put together. Danielle was our server and she was great. Second visit Anabella.. great service and the rolls were fab. I know I probably shouldn't do this to a local business in a small town as a visitor from a much bigger city who's eaten authentic food in Asia. But to maintain my reputation as an honest and widely experienced reviewer, I'm going to recommend that outsiders not eat at Bing's even though locals seem to think it's an acceptable eatery. It's really bad! The sushi is easily the worst I've ever eaten in my lifetime. I'm not comparing it to the impeccable nigiri that I've tasted in Tokyo. I'm comparing it to the mediocre sushi at our local supermarket, and it pales in comparison even to that! I didn't think sushi could taste this bad! And it isn't a knock against the employees. It's a direct reference to the astonishingly bad quality of the fish. Nigiri shouldn't be bitter or chewy! And somehow, even the rice is awful! And I didn't think you could mess up rice! The egg flower soup is also bad. And it took 30 minutes just for anyone to take our order. But honestly, what do you expect in an isolated town of 10,000 people? It's almost unfair to rate a sushi place in the middle of nowhere. read more

This was a full bust. Had decently good expectations based on yelp reviews. Susanville is small and lacking a selection of any nice restaurants so we were hoping for somewhat better more so for the locals (as we drive through occasionally only) The best attribute to the business was the waitress. She was efficient and good at communicating the overwhelming exaggerated menu ( especially not using their own photos of what they serve) . She did her best with what she had. Only waitress as well when the 3 gentleman (chefs?? ) sat around chatting. If it's their business they should assist in small ways at minimum... The place is a old run down version of a Dennys like. The menu needs a huge overhaul and accurate depiction of the food. I asked for a sunomono cucumber salad. Which is pickled cucumbers in a rice vinegar dressing. We got cucumber's cut haphazardly on a bed of lettuce with thousand dressing. I rarely send anything back but I had to ask her to take it away. Only redeeming food was the yellowtail sashimi dish with ponzu and jalapeños but honestly if you mess that up... then jeez. Yellowtail was sad looking but tasted alright. My daughter got a California roll with nothing but imitation crab and tiniest sliver of avocado/cucumber. Had to pick out the excess and ask for avocado to help supplement. The tornado roll was so laden with imitation crab I only ate one bite and tasted off with fish. We immediately asked to close out the bill as had zero interest in exploring further. Egg drop soup was good and then my husband got a dinner special with sweet and sour three meat plate which was yummy, that came with a ton of food for under $20. My zombi was pretty good. read more

The food here was not that great. The best thing was crab rangoons. The second best was miso soup. I got the bento box with galbi. It was the worst galbi I've ever had in my life. They just put sauce in the galbi instead of it being marinated. They also oversauced the "salad" which was just iceberg lettuce. The service and restaurant was great though. Food was disappointing. The Chinese food here is really good. Plenty flavorful and large amounts of food. The lunch combo is a good deal. Comes with 1 egg roll, 1 crab cream cheese wonton and choice of soup. Little confusing on the sides. Menu states chicken chow mein, on the next line bbq pork fried rice or steamed rice. Don't get this confused. It's choice of chicken chow mein or bbq pork fried rice or steamed rice. Would have been nice if the waitress explained this because it makes it seem like it automatically comes with the chow mein and choice of bbq pork fried rice or steamed rice. We all ended up with just bbq pork fried rice. Would have rather had chicken chow mein. The service was fast. Interior is nice and clean. Will be coming back. My son also says the sushi is very good. Overall good experience other than the mishap with the menu incorrectly stating choice of sides. Please fix so customers know what their options are. read more

It is good but now, with takeout being so popular, a dine-in customer really takes a backseat to the to-go customers. We were visiting the area from another state. We came into the restaurant at one aof their busiest times. There was only one waitress and she did a fantastic job of managing the rush. The food was great and the price was about as expected. We had the crab wonton for an appetizer and multiple sushi rolls which were all delicious. Definitely will be going back read more

The new bing in Chester ca has A good menu and the Asian food is good but served my pork fried rice with pieces of shrimp! I'm half Japanese and not a fan of seafood. Too bad for bings because I'm going to go out of my way to advertise their lack of professionalism regarding the seafood in my pork fried rice. I complained to owner about this matter and she only suggested a pay a portion for the meal I did not come close to finishing. Unbelievable!!! read more

Date night with the hubby, and we were treated like 2nd rate citizens. There were 2 booths available, and we were seated at a table for 6 rather than a more intimate and comfortable booth table. Once we were seated, we were then completely ignored. We watched the hostess seat 2 other parties and take their orders, and never even asked to take ours. Our experience here 2 years ago was a much more pleasant and enjoyable one. Customer service is not their strong suit. read more

Normally I love this place. But I ordered regular salmon sashimi but received still FROZEN smoked salmon sashimi. I was only given a few minuscule piece of ginger. Normally it is worth the $20 price for my 2 orders of salmon sashimi... today it was not. I had to take my order home so it would thaw so i could eat it. read more
