Horrible place with snobby staff, including the owner "Billy". Went there a few years ago on Halloween night. Everyone in the bar. including staff was in full costume. Masks, outfits, Billy himself was a lifeguard and was practically wearing underwear and a tshirt. I was ordering my drink when a girl dressed in full costume (mask that covered her entire head included), very rudely told me that I had to "put my hood down" or I "had to leave immediately". I thought she was joking, so I laughed and she got even more snide and said "No. You don't understand, I fucking work here. And Im telling you now, you aren't allowed to have your hood up inside this place." The bartender looked timid about it, but kindly said "She's right.". I assumed that it was some sort of security thing. So I simply said "So let me get this straight.... you can wear a mask that covers your entire face? But I can't have my hood up over my head?" I was then informed that it had nothing to do with security, and that in fact it was a simple case of "Billy can't stand that look". So the owner of the bar can't stand the look of someone with their hood up over their head. So he doesn't allow you in his bar like that. I was from out of town and the people who took me there knew Billy. I told them what happened and even they were questioning that rule. One of them went to Billy and questioned him about it, and he told them that "since it was halloween" he would "allow" me to west my hood up "only for tonight." but any other night, I would be thrown out. Needless to say we were all disgusted by this stupid "rule", and non of us have ever returned. read more
