Honestly, you should refer to Alex H.'s review, as it is spot on. I am throwing in my two cents,…read morebecause this place deserves it. It is not fancy; nothing like your local Williams-Sonoma, Sur la Table, or Crate & Barrel. But you may find things that you can't at those places. I think my first time coming here was 4-5 years ago. I am an amateur home baker and cook and after reading through blogs and scouring different websites dedicated to food, I get ideas to make new dishes. Some of these require certain receptacles or tools that I don't readily have in my kitchen cabinets (which are brimming with stuff, because I have insufficient storage due to apartment living... wah, wah, wah). Restaurant Equipment Market (REM) has saved the day for me, especially on occasions when I could not stand to wait two days for Amazon Prime to deliver reasonably-priced kitchen goodies to my home. I have gotten cake pans, a meat tenderizer mallet, candy thermometer, an awesomely wide stainless prep bowl, and sweet bread knife from this place. Today I spotted pots and pans and cutting boards that will most likely end up in my kitchen at some point. Some of the things here are not very attractive, so if your aim is to buy kitchenware that combines form and function and you have the budget for it, by all means, go to the fancy places and acquire all that you need. This girl who is always looking for holes-in-the-wall will not shy away from getting more things to help me further my kitchen sorcery.

Service is A-1at the REM location in Norcross. They have EVERYTHING at fair prices. If you can…read moredream of it, if you saw it in your favorite restaurant they have it, no cap. The only thing they don't sell is fresh baked bread to go with that restaurant attire on their shelves. Trash can, pizza peels, chef aprons, citrus juicers, refrigeration units, sauce pans, delicatessen hardware - the list is long. Did I say fair prices? Do yourself a favor, whether you are an individual, or a business drop into this location and see what you have been missing out on for all the years you were driving on Highway 85 north and blinked your way pass the exit. Thank me later

Mr. V - A truly Gracious, Generous Person…read more This morning, my wife and I were searching for a very large aluminum mixing bowl... one that holds between 15 and 20 quarts of whatever we were preparing - the kind you might find in a restaurant kitchen. We tried the local big-box stores. No luck. Checking the internet we found a nearby restaurant supplier - Mr. V's Restaurant Equipment. After a short ride we found the place, stepped inside and were greeted immediately by Mr. V himself, who asked us what we were looking for. As we explained, with large arm gestures, Mr. V understood precisely... but told us unfortunately, he didn't have any in stock. Seeing our disappointment, he suggested a local members-only restaurant supply house. We told him we had checked out the place ourselves, but wouldn't qualify as members because we aren't in the restaurant business - and the supply house is strictly B2B. Mr. V then said "wait a minute", took out his wallet and began looking for his own membership card. After a few moments he had emptied the entire contents of his wallet on the counter and found the small plastic membership card buried in one of the corners of his billfold. He handed the card to us and said: "use this... just bring it back when you're done". We were delighted and thoroughly amazed. We took his card, went to the supply house, found exactly what we were looking for and bought it. We then went straight back to Mr. V's shop to return his card. I took the aluminum bowl in with me to show it to him... and was rewarded with a broad smile and a "thank you". He thanked me? I was stunned. It was my role to thank him for being so gracious, thoughtful and kind. I'm not a young person, and I can tell you it has been many, many years since anyone has demonstrated this level of concern for anything I've sought as a customer or client. How many people do you know who would do something like this for a total stranger? I don't know if I'll ever need to find another restaurant-quality or restaurant-sized item, but if I do, I know the first place I'll go to look.

Do not purchase equipment from here. I had a very disappointing experience with this company. I…read morepurchased a used refrigerator from them, and it turned out to be completely non-functional from the start. For a business that specializes in restaurant equipment, I expected at least a basic level of quality control before selling items to customers. When I reached out to request a replacement, they refused and instead suggested that it might be the outlet in my restaurant. I had already tried the refrigerator in multiple outlets and when I informed them of that, they still refused to replace the refrigerator and instead offered to send out a technician. That response felt inadequate given that the refrigerator never worked in the first place. I didn't pay for a repair project - I paid for a working refrigerator. Unfortunately this is not the first time I have had a bad experience with Mr. V's which makes this situation more frustrating. Based on my experiences, and what I have heard from others, they seem to have a reputation for selling equipment that doesn't work as it should. Overall, the lack of accountability and unwillingness to make things right has left a bad impression. I would not recommend purchasing equipment from this company unless you are prepared to deal with similar issues.
