Kate is super warm, friendly, prompt with communication, and overall a joy to work with. Because I had a small number of people that needed makeup services (myself, my mom, and my sister-in-law) I worked with Taylor instead of Kate for my wedding, but both of them were at my trial and were super thorough and listened to exactly what I wanted, making adjustments as needed. They were also both very excited about my nontraditional bridal vision and created a look that complemented it perfectly. On the morning of my wedding, Taylor arrived promptly and was super warm, bubbly, and easygoing; we had such a great time getting our makeup done, she made it super relaxing and fun. I LOVED the way my makeup turned out and it did not budge all day despite pouring rain, lots of ugly-crying (I was a mess during our ceremony), and dancing the night away. My mom and sister-in-law also absolutely loved their makeup as well and still talk about how beautiful they looked and felt. My grey hair has been increasing and with that, wiry extra frizzy and resistant patches of hair have emerged. I've always been prone to frizz but these are next level. I've all but gave up, when my best friend told me about an amazing salon she went to dedicated to curly hair! She knew I've been having a hard time resisting the hair straightener an was excited for me to have this experience and treated me to my first curly cut! My appointment was with Nicole. She took care to answer my questions and also let me know what she was doing as she worked, so that I could follow the same steps at home. She took time to explain each product as well and paid special attention to my grey hair which is one of my biggest challenges now. There was a different girl who shampooed my hair and she was great as well, she also explained what she was doing and using. You can sometimes feel very vulnerable at a salon but both of them put me at ease and were so complimentary, I truly felt pampered and confident. At the end of my service she had all the products used lined up and there was no pressure at all to buy. Everything she used was also written on a paper that sums up the step by step process for my hair. I love that I had a take home to reference for my first wash day and also for any products I did not get at that time. The salon itself is super cute and girly, they even have a Photo Booth-type of set up with ring lights and a cute backdrop so you can really get the perfect insta-worthy photo!
