    Oh hell no! I had…read morerecommendations from 2 friends that I should use Skyline for my upcoming move - which involved packing and moving a 900 sq ft apartment. I had the walk through with Alexander and approved the quote in terms of time and cost, although I thought 6 hours was a lot for such a small space . On the morning of the move, March 22, I provided muffins and water for the 3 men who would be handling the project and I told them to drink anything that was still in the fridge. Mike, their leader, informed me that for a job of this size, they would be expecting $150-200 tip for EACH of them. Mind you, this is before any item has been packed. I responded with "Let's see how the day goes". (I had planned on tipping $100 per person, but this attitude hit me wrong). I asked Mike to call me when they were about an hour away from being done, so I could come down and look at the apartment. After 5 hours, I called and he said they were almost done, so I drove to the apartment and when I walked in you couldn't tell that anything had been done - all of the furniture, lamps, TVs, etc. were still in place and the kitchen wasn't even done! So far, Mike has 2 strikes against him. I wait another hour and text Mike and ask if his team would like pizza or tacos for lunch since I knew they had been working all day - he asks for tacos so I go and get a dozen tacos, thinking that after 6 plus hours the apartment would be packed and they would be on their way. An hour later Mike calls me to ask if they are supposed to pack the pantry because they just opened that door - uh yeah, it's part of the apartment! So I went back to my new home and waited for the call. After 8 HOURS I call again and he says it is taking longer because I have so much glass! Strike 3. I tell Mike to call his boss and get more people to help and he tells me it will cost me more - we'll see about that. FINALLY after 10 HOURS they arrive at my new home and there are 6 men unloading the truck. I tell them explicitly "Everything goes in the garage on the right side, nothing but furniture in the house" Well, what do they do? They start loading both sides of the garage and put boxes in the kitchen! I remind them of my instructions. I tell Mike the tip will come later as I need to talk to his boss about the debacle. His boss, Ray calls me that Saturday night and tells me the elevator was slow and they had to park 100 feet further than they thought and that's why it took longer and that the bid was incorrect. Not my problem. I tell him, there are stairs and they could have used them, I didn't have any large pieces of furniture, and just a queen size bed, so that argument was very weak. And Ray tells me that it is in their contract that they can add 2-3 hours (@ $235/hr) to any project. And that Mike was correct in telling me about the tip being expected. He gives me a new quote - which is $300 more than my original quote and I counter back with $200 less than my quote, which he accepts. I truly feel that this crew of men thought they could take advantage of a middle aged woman - there's no man there to keep them in check, so they'll just putz around and get paid for doing nothing. 900 square feet, 1 queen bed, 7 piece sectional, etc. shouldn't take 9 HOURS to pack and move!!!!!!!! On Sunday I went to my apartment only to find that they didn't pack anything that was in the laundry area - mops, brooms, vacuums, etc. They didn't pack a 2' x3' mirror from my master bedroom, and they didn't pack some serving dishes that were left on the kitchen counter . And to add insult to injury left their trash in the sink. So now I'm having to clean up after them and haul this stuff away! On Monday, Steve the owner calls me to apologize for this nightmare of a move. I genuinely appreciated his call and he let me know that the tip comment was absolutely unprofessional and that they have never had it in their contracts to be able to add 2-3 more hours automatically. I wish I could have tipped the 4 of the 6 guys that were really hustling, but because of their leader's actions, no one received a tip and I would never recommend Skyline moving. I don't understand how my experience could be 180 degrees different from all of these 5 star reviews.

    4/17/2023 Pack and Unpack Boxes…read moreWe recently moved to Windsor, and needed help unloading three 16 ft. PODS with a household full of furniture and heavy boxes. The Moving Caddies came to my rescue and unloaded and placed the furniture and boxes just where I wanted it, in a timely manner. They were very professional and reasonably priced. To start, the two movers were kind and polite - I want to give them credit for that. My reservation was for 12 PM, and I was told they'd arrive between 12-1, but I didn't receive a clear heads-up on timing and they showed up at 11:58 AM. They began billing as soon as they arrived, and since I don't live on-site and was running behind picking up the truck, I ended up being billed for that time. I understand part of that is on me for running late, but clearer communication would have helped. Unfortunately, the actual move is where things went downhill. Furniture was dropped, pushed through doorways, and not handled with much care. I have a white couch that I've kept in great condition, and they laid it on its side and dragged it across the floor of the storage unit and truck. By the end, it was covered in black dust. At the time, I was trying to be understanding and didn't say much - especially since the manager asked for feedback over the phone while I was standing right next to the movers. After everything was done, I discovered damage to multiple door frames in my home. That was the tipping point for me. I now have to pay for repairs and likely professional cleaning for the couch. I wasn't planning to leave a review, but given the extent of the damage, I felt it was important to share.

She yelled and cursed and spoke to me in a total condescending manner and tone very confrontational throughout the entire phone conversation then hung up on me while I was answering her question she asked me without even giving me a chance to reply back to her.... I have reached out to corporate regarding this employee and left messages with Alan and the entire corporate office staff in Phoenix and Utah. All I needed was access to a unit my partner has paid for in full not late on not behind on until July 1st when the next rent fees are due which the plan was to move everything out of the unit this weekend to avoid any further charges or fees period... I am in shock tbh by this human being and her atrocious behavior to say the least... What kind of world do we live in where people just take favor in being inhumane to other humans because they have nothing else better to do... All I wanted was for her to do the right thing by me and she flat out refused to do so because that would of made her have to do extra work on a Friday 1 hour before she clocks out her words not mine literally... I find the onsite manager to be kind and helpful but that is all I can say that is positive about this location I did happen to record the phone call luckily and will be playing it for everyone so they can hear what type of employee they truly have working for them so they can make an executive decision to coach and give this employee the pink slip since she is not an asset to their company and reputation according to their value statement
