HI contacted Mora Well Company because of a deep well pump failure. First day no show. I called…read moreagain. 2nd day scheduled he showed up 3 hours later than arranged. Naturally it got late so no shower. 3rd day well was in. To this day every single time the pump starts up water pressure fades instantly to 0psi and takes several seconds to build pressure. I also had to source and hire a separate skid loader service to remove all snow from the area around the well so he could get a boom truck in. Also nearly double the original price quoted and my son and I helped with physical labor. Not very happy. Would give a lower score if possible.

I was told I would have water by Thursday which I thought meant four days later. Well, it was about three weeks before I had "temporary" water. The well was in but the water line and electrical ran overground through an open window into my basement. About another month went by before they came back to "finish" the job. When I came home that evening, the water line was buried but the electrical was only buried part of the way and still running through an open basement window. Also, the old well was not sealed. Over the summer, he said he would be back on this Friday or that Monday or....but never showed, didn't call to cancel and didn't reschedule. It is now late August. He will not return my phone calls to schedule a time to finally completely finish the job. I give up! Meanwhile, the mosquitoes are feasting well on us INSIDE the house due to the open window. He was here by 5:30 pm and we had water that evening. By the next day Matt had replaced our pressure tank, well pump and some rusted (35 Y.O.) galvanized pipes. At the same time he reused all parts that were still good, mindful of delivering good value. The quality of the work was excellent, Matt is the best plumber we have ever used. We had already been researching replacements and Husnik was at the top of our list, but we were hoping to wait until spring. Unfortunately, the well pump failed on Thanksgiving--best laid plans. Mike was responsive, calm, and incredibly thorough. He explained that there was significant sediment buildup and made it clear he could get water on quickly, but that it wouldn't be good-quality water. Instead, he came back Saturday to properly clean out the well, install a new pressure tank, and replace the pump--doing the job the right way. During what felt like a true household crisis (no running water really changes your perspective!), Mike went above and beyond. When he realized Friday night that our water wouldn't be restored until Saturday, he even offered to let us refill empty water jugs at his business. That kind of thoughtfulness and integrity is rare.
