I was ready to try multiple shops if I got a weird vibe from the estimator. I'm happy to say no other shops were needed. I called to make an appointment and was met by John O'Halloran at the body shop. He did a very thorough inspection, pointed out areas I was concerned about and several I hadn't noticed, wrote up the repair proposal, and submitted it to the insurance company while I was there. We got full approval on everything, and parts were ordered. When the parts arrived, my daughter dropped off the car, and John and his crew gave her a ride back to school. The repair and repaint were done promptly, and I was kept informed every step of the way. When it was finished I was sent photos, and the car looked great. The paint match is right on, and there's no evidence of the damage. My daughter says it looks awesome. Even more important, since I'm not there to handle it, John made everything simple from appointment to drop-off to pick-up. He knew my daughter is not a "car girl" and took ownership of the whole process as if it were for his own child. I greatly appreciated that. A shop recommended by an insurance company can be a gamble, but this one turned out to be a pleasant surprise. If I were paying out of pocket, I would take my car to John and the guys at Gettel without hesitation.
