Enjoyed a tasty brunch with friends at their Gloucester Quays, nestled amongst the Gloucester historic docks. This is definitely worth a visit on a nice Saturday morning as there is a outdoor market with 10-15 stalls (food & crafts).
I had a cappuccino and a vegetarian platter. The capuchin was tasty, and didn't last through the meal. The veggie platter was interesting, 2 poached eggs on 2 pieces of toast, one with a hummus spread topped with sautéed mushrooms and one with a guacamole spread and roasted tomatoes. I also added the crispy potato (singular as you only get one ), it reminded me of hash browns from the states. And I added the baked beans, which was served in a mini iron skillet. The meal overall was quite tasty, but would've liked a bit more guacamole and hummus and a bit less toast; as the spreads were on the thin end of the spectrum.
Bill's looked to be a southwestern American themed restaurant, I'd have to go back and check out their evening menu to confirm. As far as brunch goes, it's solid but not necessarily a standout;if give it a 3.5 if possible. Given the attentive and friendly service a 4.0 is fair. read more
