My weekly fish and chip tea is a bit of a treat and I usually enjoy it, but not this week.
As my Mum lives not far I thought on the way home from visiting her I would try this place as whenever I drive past it always seems to be busy and that's usually a good sign in a chippy right? Ha you have no idea how wrong you could be either that or I'm a right fussy cow.
It looked a bit dingy from the outside, but was clean when I went in and smelt quite nice. Fish looked good and I thought hmmm I might be on to a winner. So 2 lots of Fish and chips ordered and I was quickly served and out I went. Home is about a 2 minute drive so you would think that it would still be piping hot, but no the chips were stone cold. So onto the fish. What fish? It was all batter with a tiny slither of dried up white stuff. I was so annoyed I ended up eating Jam on toast.
Not recommended at all. Go elsewhere or cook your own. Parking is easy, but watch the kids that hang around and lock your car doors. read more
