It is expensive, and that can probably be put down to the fact that there is no local competition and also the fact that it is so far from the sea or any outlet from which you can get a regular supply of fresh fish. They offer your normal fish and chips, as well as burgers, fried chicken and kebabs. It isn't the fastest of service if there is a queue, but on the other hand this does show that they cook the food freshly (you will rarely see more than a couple of pieces of fish in the hot plates).

For Lower Slaughter, this is the fancy schmancy 17th century estate house and built for the Whitmore family, lords of the manor at Lower Slaughter from 1611. Having a drink at the bar was also a good way to settle into our tour. I was also personally taken by the billiards room.

I don't know why they feel the need to change the name so often because the food is very good, and very reasonably priced. They do this starter called Chicken Chaat which is to die for. Now, like me, you may have had Chicken Chaat elsewhere but I would be very suprised if was as good as this one. Also some of their Specials, really are quite special. Delivery is free for orders over about £10, and they often throw in a few extras, like popadums or an extra side dish. If there were awards for best local Indian takeaway, my vote would definitely go here.
