Love, hate relationship with this place. Food has been good last few times I've visited. It's hard to order outside of the bar though. Staff pass through but not alot especially for those more in the back. It's a large spot, but there needs to be some upgrades done to bring this spot back to its glory days. Went to karaoke here with a group of friends for bday celebration on a Saturday night. Super fun! Definitely recommend. The crowd was cool, encouraging. Everyone was just having a great time. First off, if your going out to drink and let loose in a safe space, billiard palace and its pool, and karaoke are a blast. You'll meet all the regulars usually your first time around, and should you pop into karaoke at muses in the same building, theyre a blast. Fun kj staff, and if you just want to sing with friends, they do priority first instead of putting regulars up by popularity too. ZERO STARS This place is a total scam. they added their own tip to my debit card I had 2 drinks totaling almost $20 and I left a $10 tip turns out the server by the name of Ana VERY RUDE added an extra 0 to the tip making the tip $100 instead of $10. Based on one visit - for just beer and karaoke... Huge place / clean / so many rooms... Good people watching - lots of characters here. It was a Friday afternoon/evening and after 7 it started to get busy. Everyone was well-behaved. No smoking indoors (except some use vapes). Lots of smoking on the front patio outside. So for karaoke, it seems there are a lot of regulars who come to sing theatrical songs from Disney movies. They do refer to this as WIERD KARAOKE as it is all that. I must say there are plenty of screens and the host lists the next singers on the screen so you don't have to listen for your name over the loudspeaker. The sound system is good and so are the accoustics. Nice people ... and again a cast of characters including Mickey, Minnie and Goofy. All in all too strange for me. I won't be going back. read more

Used to be good but if you're not in a group they won't serve you I went in to have a drink or two cause of ya know life and sat at the bar for a good 30-40 min and the bartenders just looked at me didn't offer anything but continued to serve other people of 2 or more I know it's 1 person but come on still a paying customer read more

Favorite place to play pool in ABQ! THe tables always seem like they are maintained very well. I play several tournaments there every year and it works out great. They have a ton of tables and in my opinion the valleys are the best ones. The cloth is fast and the rails are lively. The diamonds are a better table to shoot on but these rails seem a little dead and they are slower. One of my favorite things about this place is their food and beer selection. I was not expecting the food to be so good but the sandwiches and the wings are amazing!! By far the best wings in town! I always get them baked and dip them in the sauce. The service here is also very good considering how busy it can get on the weekends. You rarely have to wait to get a new beer and your food is served rather quickly. read more

Billiard Palace has so many rooms. Dozens and dozens and dozens of tables. People are playing pool in all the rooms, at all times of day. On Sunday you can spend $10 on drinks to use a table for free indefinitely. They have local beers on tap and the worst margaritas in the world. People get very drunk here. The sound of balls clacking together is everywhere. The jukebox, pumped into every room, is unpredictable. You can't help but dance to whatever song comes on. Not sure how long I've been here, but it feels like forever since I left my house. It's only midday, but already I feel tired from all this drinking and dancing. The sun is shining brightly as I walk through the lobby, which has a few people sitting around a large table. A man with a goatee sits across from me. He looks up when he sees me approach, but doesn't say anything. "Hey," "What do you have?" He takes a sip from his beer bottle before answering. "A Bud Light." I take another look at the label. It says "Bud Light Original". I grab a margarita. I don't even care if it tastes bad; I just want to feel alive right now. It's warm out, and the cold air makes my throat itch. I grab a pool cue off the wall. I hold it in front of myself and start to aim it at the other players. "I'm going to be honest with you, I don't know much about pool." One player raises an eyebrow. I walk over to the table where the other player is sitting. I put my hand on his shoulder. "Do you know what kind of pool you're playing?" He smiles at me, then turns away from me. "No." read more

The owner, the company, the staff have all been incredible. Ana, Felicia, and Curtis were so incredibly attentive. This is one of the best pool halls in the nation and I've been to the best pool hall in almost every state. I cannot wait to come back. read more

0 STARS trust me if I could leave a ZERO STAR review I would this place doesn't even deserve 1 star came to billiards to have fun with friends at the end of the night when it was time to pay the tab the waitress that did not go above and beyond or give any special treatment who did the very bare minimum she even messed up our drinks but I didn't say anything even tho no one liked them I did not complain or say anything to anyone and still left her a decent tip mind you she was not easily available and our party did have to go up to the bar and order food and drinks with the bar tender because our server was no where to be found she came to our party and questioned the tip we gave her saying that it wasn't enough and we should have tipped her more VERY UNGRATEFUL AND VERY RUDE "servers" should be appreciative for any tip they get in my own opinion she didn't even deserve a tip for "service" that was provided which was non existent read more

This is a great place to shoot pool with regulation tables and lots of them. They have varied sizes and it's a large place so you can spread out. Candace is a great waitress and is always making sure we are taken care of. One of the bar tenders is pretty grumpy but I'm wondering if it's just her personality. Luckily you don't have to hang out with her :-) If you want a fun night out shooting some pool this is a great place to hang out, see old friends and make new ones. read more

As a parent I like the fact that there is a place where I can take my teenagers and have clean fun with them. It appears that those under 21 are given tables in separate room away from the bar scene. I like that part. They also have a rule that as a parent I cant have alcohol around the kids -- I also appreciate that rule. I have no complaints with pitchers of Dr Pepper. Billiard Palace ain't a bad place to go shoot some pool. The selection of both 7 and 9 ft tables was awesome. When you walk in, you're greeted with the traditional dark cave of billiards - the way pool halls should be. GO on the weekends! 5 bucks a person from 6 til close..what a gnarly deal! The waitstaff were cute but silly girls who complained about being bored and then literally skipped to the tables to serve beer. Weird. Awesome pool hall. Tons of tables, 7 footers (Valleys and Diamonds) and 9 footers (Diamonds), plus a snooker table. Everything is well maintained and one of the workers started brushing down some of the other tables while I was winding down. One of the top WPBA stars plays out of here (I think her family owns the place), so I got to see some glimpses of quality 9 ball. Otherwise, plenty of recreational players too and there were signs for leagues and tournaments. They have one of the bigger menus I've seen for a pool hall, and on Tuesdays, if you spend $8 you get pool for free. Can't beat that, even if I did just have a buffet dinner before coming here. read more

This is one of the worst places in town if you want to have a few drinks, eat and shoot pool! The tables are NOT maintained! There are rips in the felt of many of the tables, the rails are soft, and for a place that has the APA state tourney, you would think that the "manager" of the establishment would keep up with them. PLEASE, whatever you do-do NOT drink any of the drinks that come out of the hoses! They are not maintained, and many of my friends have gotten sick from the soda. If you have to order a drink, be sure that it is coming from a can/bottle. Do NOT drink the beer on tap for the same reasons. I would also suggest eating somewhere else, as the place is run by a family and I can assure you that if the health inspector showed up they would have to pay a very big fine, and possibly be shut down until they got their standards up. Tried to have lunch there today. It didn't go so well. I sat at the bar during the lunch hour. No one was at the bar when we got there, and a couple people playing pool. A lady and a gentleman came in seperatly and sat at the bar on either side of us. We ordered our sandwiches and the bartender put in our order. About 5 minutes pass and I see a man with very long hair, no hat, walk across the pool hall and head to the kitchen. Apparently from the restrooms. He was the cook. About 10 minutes pass and my friends sandwich comes out. The thing is huge and should have been cut in half. Very greasy grilled bread. My friend begins to eat while I'm still waiting for my club sandwich to come. The bartender checks on my order twice and by this time my friend is done with his, so I ask for mine to be put in a to-go box so I can a couple bites in and back to the office. So finally my sandwich comes out and the cook tells the bartender that he had to make bacon and that was the hold up. The bacon was NOT fresh. So I take one bite, then two and grease is all over my hands and it really needed to be cut in half. It was hard to handle. Then I notice two very long hairs hanging out of my sandwich. I ask the bartender to come over and show her and she pulls one out and I show her the other. Hair matching the cooks. Disgusting!!! After a few awkward exchanges they take it off the bill. The guy next to me who doesn't even work there is apologizing for the cook! Seriously! The whole debacle was so uncomfortable and I feel sick knowing the cook came from restrooms before making our food. If he can't keep his hair out of the food, how do I know he cared to wash his hands. So, beware if you order food from there. read more

I used to come here every week with a big group of friends a couple years back. Everyone knew us, we loved the atmosphere, can't resist a game of 8 ball right? Then they hired Casey. This woman is so snotty and unprofessional that I stopped going, no exaggeration. She makes a face when I ask for anything, lectures us for drinking too much water from the complimentary pitchers, forgets orders, complains, and on and on! Every one of my friends rolls their eyes when she comes over because guaranteed she forgot half the orders and will roll your eyes if you repeat yourself. PLEASE FIRE THIS WOMAN. read more

Various pool table sizes, and plenty of them. Typical house cues so if you don't bring your own you're going to have to look for a decent one for several tries. The waitresses were all very nice, we'd been there multiple times. The gentleman at the counter was always friendly and let us pick our table. The clientele are all nice people, just there to play pool. For me it's much better than going to a bar. I can drink if I like but I don't have to deal with the typical bar crowds. Price was very reasonable. It's an easy place to spend a few hours if you want. Definitely made our Albuquerque visit more enjoyable. read more

As we frequent Palace for the great food and drinks, my friend and I were surprised by the horrible service we received. We ordered wings, as we always do, and they were brought out to us and realized there was a bug on them. Completly disgusted, we immediately let the bartender know. Instead of apologising, she asked if we wanted anew one, or what?! My friend and I liked ay eachother in shock and she replys, "It's not like I put it in there, geez!" The was less than satisfactory. No one apologized and they did comp tune wings, but left us with a horrible taste in our mouth. I will admit that Billiard Palace isn't the fanciest place in the the world, BUT I have been living here in Albuquerque for almost six years. After doing some serious research, I have come to find out that there are only two true billiard/pool halls in Albuquerque. There's one the "Westside" which is costly and there is Billiard Palace on the "Eastside". I have shot pool at both places. I choose Billiard Palace hands down. I love everything about this place. Tables are well taken care of, the food/drink selection is total awesome, the working crew are the best in the city. I love this place so much that I made it the "Stage Three" of three stages for my co-ed bachelor party. It's a simple place with big time fun!!! Go have fun doing what you love to do!!! read more

Karaoke is the best part about this place. The two guys that run it are so entertaining and fun. The bartenders and servers are pretty rude.. I'm not one to get on this and talk negatively about a place. I come to Billiards often and they neglect to truly care for their customers, even arguing about their prices or mistakes they make.
