The technician came on Monday morning as agreed, diagnosed the issue, and returned again the very next day to replace the part and do the work as agreed on Monday after the diagnosis. The value of the repair was good since I was concerned I would have to replace the washing machine with a new one. Luckily, that was not necessary. I will definitely be using Hal Fix again in the future and will recommend it to anyone who needs a washing machine repair! My washing machine works as new again (though it was only 2 years old to begin with, but the warranty expired!).

It did not fix the problem - the ice maker still did not work. I contacted Michael three times asking for assistance to further address the problem. He did not follow up, nor did he reimburse for the service call. On a related note, I watched as Michael "tested" the water valve. After the fact and when I did my own research on how to test a water valve, I learned that Michael did it incorrectly - he did not place the multimeter leads on the appropriate terminals. When I did it correctly, I found out that my water valve was still functional. In other words, something else was the cause of the problem. I am most dissatisfied with Michael's failure to follow up with me. He writes about his business, "Honesty and customer satisfaction are my number one goal." He did not live up to this promise with me.
