Terrible service and quality. I don't recommend Bill Jarret Ford. They stand behind their work

Scheduled my Ford F150 for service. The truck is 7 years old now and the brake pedal was a little spongy. I asked for a quote for flushing the brake fluid and they provided me a quote and an appointment for a week later. I took the truck in for the appointment and they put it on the rack. This is when they decided to come to the waiting room and let me know they couldn't do the work without a full brake inspection. I had told them that the brakes were all replaced 6 months ago and that due to the time (7 years) the fluid has become contaminated with moisture and other contaminants. They told me they couldn't work on it without an inspection. I told them to pull my truck off their rack and I will be leaving. On the way out the service manager asked what was wrong and I told him my story. When I repeated to him what I had said to the girl at the counter, he asked me why I would want to change the brake fluid. I told him that brake fluid gets contaminated over a period of years and or miles and that it needs to be changed now and again over time. My brake pedal was spongy and it needed to be flushed. He had never heard of this before and didn't understand why I would want this. I told him to look it up and he will find out how the fluid reacts over time and why it needs to be flushed. I went a quarter mile down the street and found a independent shop that was very happy to do the work just as I had requested. After many years in the manufacturing industry with customers all over the world, I found the experience at Jarrett Ford in Avon Park, Florida to be lacking in their service department. After asking the clerk at the service counter if she could turn on the TV in the waiting room she said she would find out if it worked. She never returned with an answer or to turn on the TV. While sitting there for the 20 minutes before they told me they could not do what I had asked for without a full inspection, I noticed how dirty the waiting room was. Dust on all the bookcases and tables. I don't recommend this Ford dealership for service. They didn't do what I asked even after I had received a quote for the work I wanted done. Called this place on this car https://www.jarrettfordavonpark.com/used-Avon+Park-2007-Mercury-Grand+Marquis-LS-2MEFM75V17X623567 and spoke with a sales rep, possibly Adam, bad with names. Explained to him that i was driving from Miami and would appreciate an honest review of the car, wanting to know what problems the car had so I wouldn't be wasting their time as well as mine. He sent me a video, some pictures and stated that the car was in great shape. My wife and I were in the car the next day driving the 140 plus miles to their dealership. When we got there, we were greeted and told that the vehicle was being detailed. After about a 10 minute wait they brought the car around and it looked great from a distance. Upon closer inspection I immediately noticed the trunk lid, and rear bumper appeared to be freshly painted. The vehicles external flaws were told to me on the phone, so I knew what I was walking into. When I discussed on the phone the condition of the AC, he said it was working great. Upon inspection, it appeared that there was some type of foam sealant used on the ac accumulator. When asked about it the sales rep told us he knew nothing of that. While it blew cold, it was apparent that there was an issue at some time, but no one knew anything about it. I checked under the car and it also appeared since it was a North Carolina car, there was rust under the car which may have been why the rear deck lid and bumper were painted. I asked him why were they painted and I got what has to be the most ridiculous answer ever from a car salesman and I quote "We had them painted because the guys in the body shop had nothing to do so we gave them something to do" If that was the fucking case they should have done the whole car! Right then and there, we lost trust in both him and the dealership. We opened the trunk to find it extremely wet on both the carpet and deck lid. They took it back to the body shop and told us that they would let us know what the problem was. We left to go get something to eat and waited for their call. An hour and a half later I get a text that it was the studs holding the tail lights in and that it was fixed. Like I said earlier we lost trust with them, so we both decided to pass on the vehicle due to that loss of trust, NO MATTER HOW MUCH WE LIKED THE CAR! We both were quite pissed at the fact that we drove all that way fully expecting to leave with it, only to be mislead on what was actually wrong with the car. I called the dealership later to speak with the manager and left a message for Tim Masse the manager. I was told he would return my call, never did. Left another message yesterday, same result no call back. Left another this morning, still crickets. I'm sure that this dealership provides a great service to the local community that wants new cars? Used cars, another story. Would I do business with them? Not at this point. A simple inspection of the vehicle by one of their mechanics, listing what I found in a 15 minute inspection would have saved us a shit ton of time that I could have spent looking for an honest and reliable used car. I still cannot get over this statement; "We had them painted because the guys in the body shop had nothing to do so we gave them something to do" Think about that before you venture out to see what they have to offer. Just not right to bullshit a customer with cash to spend! Time to hit social media to spread the word....... They chose to delete my honest review so I added it again plus an update. I had been looking at a car for a couple of months, but nothing was fitting my needs. I worked with one dealership near my area, and thought I was getting a good deal until we got to the end. Suddenly there were fees galore. When I emailed Bill Jarrett for information on my Fiesta, I was given all the information I needed to make an informed decision. I was given the complete cost of the car early on in the email string. I was not pressured to buy the car, which is a major plus for me. After a day of emailing back and forth, I decided to make the 90 minutes drive down. The dealership is your average car place. Nothing fancy, but not dirty. My car was parked out front waiting for me when I arrived. My sales person immediately gave me the keys, and we drove off for my test drive. The car was everything the business portrayed it to be. Without having to negotiate, I was given an awesome interest rate to finance, and with a LITTLE bit of selling, I was talked into the purchasing the extended warranty. (I wanted this, but didn't want to spend the money. After some hemming and hawwing, I was offered a better deal.) Overall the process was very smooth, and I have no regrets. Definitely one of the smoothest car buying experiences I've had. I saw a listing on AutoTrader.com for a Scion XB that was just taken in on trade at Bill Jarrett Ford. I reached out and quickly heard back from Tori Richards; internet sales manager. The listing didn't have pictures yet since the vehicle wasn't even detailed yet, but Tori offered to snap some pics and text them to me. She even took the time to FaceTime me while at the vehicle since I couldn't just "stop by the dealer" to see for myself (I'm from Tampa which is 1hr 45min away). She pointed out the flaws on the used vehicle (expected given the age of the car), but also took the time to see if there was any other questions I had. I decided I wanted to move forward with the purchase, but I couldn't make it there until the next day. I didn't want to lose the car to another buyer, but Tori and her manager agreed to hold the vehicle for me until the next day. Went there and the vehicle was just as described by Tori. She was gone by the time I arrived, but she left all the details with a fellow colleague named Dee (which was also great to work with). They had my paperwork all set to go. It was literally a 15 min transaction. I was thrilled to be in and out of a dealership that quickly. A+ for the staff at Bill Jarrett Ford! Best buying experience ever! My fiance and I had been looking for a new Mustang convertible, and it was becoming seemingly impossible. Every dealer we had contacted in the area either did not have what we were looking for, or were on the verge of receiving what we were looking for, but selling it before the vehicles actually arrived. Then we found Bill Jarrett. We saw the car we wanted on their website, so we immediately emailed asking about the vehicle. Josh was very quick to respond, ensuring that he did have the vehicle, and offered a price that almost seemed too good to be true. We drove the three hours to the dealer, and a few hours later drove home in our brand new convertible. My fiance and I were both shocked about how easy and enjoyable the whole experience was. Many other dealers in our area had become very pushy, calling and texting nonstop with information that did not help us, some of them even yelling at us. It was the complete opposite at Bill Jarrett. It was very laid back, friendly, and not pushy at all. And, there was not too much price haggling since they already came in way lower than competitors. We worked with Josh (sales consultant), Eddie (manager), and Dennis (finance). Everyone was nice.....from the lady at the front desk to the finance guy. Everyone had a smile on their face and seemed so happy to help, even though they ended up staying a little later than their scheduled shifts to do so. They even recommended a cute little place for us to eat after we made our purchase. All in all, it was a very long day with six hours driving back and forth, but worth it in the long run! This is a straight up no hassle dealer and worth the 2hr drive i took. Nothing fancy here, but a great place to buy a car. I browsed their used inventory online and found a great deal for a used F150. When I called, I asked for the to the point truth on the vehicle. In minutes they told me the carfax, all other info, and gave me an out the door price that was extremely great and matched what I saw online. When I arrived the car was waiting for me out front to test drive. You can test drive without a dealer in the car which is a plus. All was good and the same price they gave me on the phone is what I paid. They even made a few minor fixes and sent me home with gas! No dealer fees. No scams. This is how car buying should be and I will definitely be coming here again. Dealers like this are rare in the central florida area. read more

I dropped my Ford F150 off to be fixed. My tilt/Telescopic steering wheel was not working. I received a repair order showing both concerns had been addressed and had been repaired. When I picked the truck up, I paid the bill and Teka Scruggs (service Advisor) accompanied me to the truck to insure all was working and I was satisfied. All was working, tilt and telescopic. Several weeks later I discovered the telescopic part want no working again. I called Teka and informed her of the issue. She said no problem, it has a two year warranty. I rescheduled a appointment to do the re-repair. I got a call from the new service person and he advised me they didn't replace the motor on the telescopic column? It would be additional. It stated on the bill the problem was confirmed and repaired. The new service guy told me he showed the original bill to the service manager and I should expect a phone call from him that afternoon. Later that day I received a phone call from the new service guy stating he had talked to the manager and the manager told him to call me and offer the parts to fix the truck (which I already paid to have fixed) at the dealer cost and they would install it for free, no labor. I believe the part he quoted me was $162.00. The original part I paid for was $168.32. When has anyone heard of a Ford dealer only making $6.32 on a high dollar part? I will no longer use Bill Jarrett Ford Inc. or the quick Lube, owned by Bill Jarrett Ford for my vehicles. They should have made this right and kept a good customer. Gotta say man, not too happy about the whole experience at this place. First time around wasn't too awful other than being there for multiple hours just to be told I couldn't get financed for a vehicle but that's not the dealerships fault. First time car buyer with good credit BUT not much credit history makes that difficult. The bad part is the serious lack of communication, the constant waiting, and last of all the out right lie I was told that almost seriously screwed me over. I was quoted for an out the door price of a certain amount, go to the bank to get that in a check to bring to them to get my new to me truck. When they send over the buyers order, it's totally different number than what I've been told the day before, I proceed to call them and ask what's up with with this price being a solid 2k more than what I was quoted. A few things are said. I ask for them to come down to a slightly more than what I was quoted price but no. So long story short, 4-5 hours of my time has been wasted. And so has the banks time. My fiancés time. And I guess their time too. Off to sleep I go and off to some other dealership I go. OH! One last thing. Three out of four of the tires on said truck were almost bald and telling them that it will cost me quite a few hundred bucks to replace those just to drive safely wasn't a concern I guess. read more
