So seating was way off from how we had imagined and we had to make last minute adjustments. She does not know how to run a rehearsal and announced to all that she had never seen a wedding like ours before! (The men walking to the front while bridesmaids walked down alone). This was followed by her lining up all backwards and everyone was trying to tell her it was wrong. So much confusion that the pastor finally took over saying, "Friends, I'm now running this rehearsal." She should've been embarrassed, but she wasn't. The day of the wedding she asked me how to display the table menus - one for each table. I had previously asked her how many frames to bring and she told me. I brought extra, but it wasn't enough. No problem, she said, we can just put the ones without frames up against the centerpieces. How tacky! As guests began to arrive, a friend asked where she could put her wedding gift. When I asked Alyssa, she said that "no one brings gifts to weddings anymore," so there wasn't a place for them. The wedding was to have bubbles on each seat. Not on mine, and I'm the MOB! Didn't get to blow bubbles for my daughter. And others felt the same way. What part of "every seat " is hard to understand? At the reception, wine was to be self-serve on the table and would then be replenished as needed. When I noticed some friends had no wine, her lame excuse was that she thought it would be nice to serve our guests. But those glasses were empty!! There's more but you get the picture. Along the planning way, when asked for lists of what she should be doing and when, her response was that we had no need to worry because it was all in her head. But it clearly was not. We paid a lot for her services. Almost $6000, not including flowers. The day ended up beautiful but because we had to work around her. Such a disappointment. The most disappointing things is when I reached out to her to discuss all of this after the wedding, she took absolutely no responsibility for anything. She actually thinks she did a great job. I'm here to tell you she did not.
