Chose the Vow Keeper! Our officiant backed out last-minute and I was so upset and stressed out about having to find someone who could officiate a ceremony in Idyllwild with an upcoming storm. We had already booked our vacation rental and the dates couldn't be changed. They were incredibly positive and had enormous amounts of patience with our little dogs as one continuously barked at Larry and the other jumped all over him (sorry Larry!) Somehow, they managed to get some great photos of us with our out-of-control dogs, and then followed us to a location we picked for the ceremony in the desert. They did a wonderful job with the lighting conditions and making sure we were in the best locations to capture the moment. I was also very impressed with their memory and ability to keep us on task for what we wanted to get out of the photo shoot. We had numerous requests, and in the excitement of it my fiance and I naturally forgot about half the stuff we wanted to do, but Charlotte and Larry remembered every single thing after being told only once and got us every pose and moment that we wanted captured (even an awesome champagne bottle pop). Being married during the COVID0-19 was very difficult, but choosing vow keeper to be our officiant makes things much easier. We originally planned the elopement in Malibu mountains which was later canceled due to the new stay-at-home order. Then Joshua tree national park became our last hope, and we had to find a great officiant immediately. After reading all the 5-star reviews on yelp, we soon reached Charlotte and get responded quickly. I would say you can not find a better officiant than her in many ways. Though an elopement is considered much simpler than a traditional wedding, you can feel Charlotte treat it very seriously. In the week of our wedding, I received a call from her that she reminded us the Joshua tree may not be able to provide the space for our elopement due to the new COVID order, and she also suggested we can go to another great site with beautiful views near the park if that's the case. Luckily, the park confirmed with me that our marriage and photo permits were still valid, but imagine how frustrating it could be if our wedding had to be canceled and even no one knew this before the final moment. So we really appreciate Charlotte's effort and responsibility. On the wedding day, we did arrive late, and Charlotte had already waited for us. She is very professional and familiar with the park, she prepared all the things well and recommended the best spot for the ceremony and photos.
