The total amount was $540,109 and we was only able to get $210,000 which $104,313 went to me, $70,000 went to Law Office of Bret W. Schmidt, P.C. and $35,000 went to Scott H. Palmer, P.C which was the 3rd party I had no knowledge about. I also had 2 criminal cases that was $5,000 each and the cases were ongoing for 4 years and no motions were filed but the invoices were still sent every month. Also kept you trying to review the discovery of my case to see what evidence the court would try to use on me and he wouldn't let me view it. Kept saying things like "it's a lot to download" or "my computer not fast enough". Then he became very unresponsive to my calls and texts, I could not get in touch with him until days later. Few conversations we did have he was no longer calling me by name, he was referring to me as "dude". When I brought all of this to his attention he wanted to persuade me to sign a plea without me not knowing what I'm up against cause I have not seen the evidentiary discovery. I knew then I had to find a new attorney. I have PTSD which I informed my attorney this as well and this entire process and everything I went through with this attorney has made it worse. I had to spend $10,000 for a new attorney which it took a 2 weeks to come into agreement with the state of Texas Frank Crowley Courthouse Criminal District Court #5. I was able to watch all discovery with my new attorney which took about 2 hours and the deal I got with Micheal was extremely better than the deal I got with Bret. Almost felt as if Bret was working with the prosecutor. Bret last offer to me was a felony 2 years probation deferred and time served. My new attorney Micheal Smith got me a misdemeanor with no probation, time served.

Mr. Meredith drafted the will and estate documents for my neighbor in 2012. I reached out to Mr. Meredith on October 27th, 2018 to establish a line of communication to indicate the updated wishes of my neighbor (she is 83 years young, and a three time cancer survivor). We were able to setup a call for November 2nd at 3PM; however, we never received a call at this time. After e-mailing Mr. Meredith and his assistant, we finally received the call around 4:10-15PM to confirm my neighbor's request was valid. I have sent two follow-up e-mails, and placed a phone call since the November 2nd discussion to get an ETA on seeing a draft of the new documents. It is now November 29th, and we have not received any documents from Mr. Meredith. Literally, a change that would take about 10 minutes of using "Find - Replace" in the word document was not a priority for Mr. Meredith or his staff for a returning client. I've since decided to enlist the services of another estate planning attorney. Thankfully, said attorney found an oversight in the will produced by Mr. Meredith (the will never named a Trustee of her estate). Highly disappointing. I would not personally recommend Meredith, PC based upon this experience.

He agreed. 6 months later Greg called and said they had an offer. It was for less than that of the offer we had turned down at the mediation meeting. I again asked about taken them to court and he denied ever agreeing to that. I think he felt he was up against to big of opposition and didn't want to take the time to fight t because it just wasn't worth his time. When I mentioned getting another attorney he said if I did that he would still get a third of the settlement. Our settlement barely covered the loss of our vehicle and immediate medical bills. My wife still suffers from chronic pain and uses a walker.
