History
Established in 2012.
: Before opening Dalton Law, Paul Dalton was a Senior Shareholder in the Litigation Section at Cowles & Thompson, P.C. for 12 years and, before that, was a Litigation Partner with Jackson Walker, LLP., where he began practicing law in 1979.
An important part of Paul's practice always has been to help clients avoid foreseeable lawsuits by assisting them in evaluating, negotiating, or drafting business documents and in advising them on conducting their business affairs.
In every year since 1985, Paul has received the highest possible rating -- "AV" -- from the Martindale-Hubbell peer review lawyer rating service.
Meet the Business Owner: Paul D.
Paul Dalton has over 30 years of experience in representing U.S. and foreign individuals and businesses in Texas state and federal trial courts and has argued appeals in several of Texas' courts of appeals as well as in the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
Paul is a Certified Mediator and has participated in hundreds of meditations as either the mediator or an advocate.
In addition to all state courts in Texas, Paul is admitted to practice before all Federal District Courts in Texas, the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the 5th and 11th Circuits, the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
He holds a B.S. in Pharmacy from the University of Houston (1973) and a J.D. from the SMU Dedman School of Law (1979).
Paul is a Member of the State Bar of Texas, the Texas Assn. of Defense Counsel, The College of the State Bar of Texas, the Texas Pharmacy Assn., and the American Society for Pharmacy Law.
