I wish I could give this company a zero star, so incase you were wondering why there aren't more 0-1 star reviews it's because it's half bought and paid for . Upon reaching back out to me to "resolve" my issue, it was structured in a way where they held my refund hostage, and as a matter of fact, it's not even the full amount I was "offered" $460 refund so long as I take my review down. With that being said, its even more ridiculous that I did not have a completed version of my taxes 100 days after I paid... and this is after days of me pulling their teeth in order to get information on where my tax filings were? Finally I decided to go to a very local tax office in Cedar Park and they resolved my issues within 5 days! So that makes emergency question: what in the actual hell is going on in this office if this is all automated, and another office of just 2 people were able to figure things out within 5 days, in which it took this office 100 days. Oh by the way, I tried to request refund for failure of $600 back, it got declined, so I can kiss $600 good- bye and pay late filing fees. I would keep writing more reviews if it were possible so other people who are not as fortunate, to have to go through all of this frustration and lose a lot of money over company who can't get their job done correctly and on time. Maybe they…read moreare OK for simple returns, but if you have anything that falls outside the ordinary, find someone else. They also do not have any CPAs on staff. I asked for help with an unfiled tax return that was a little bit complicated, and I let them know multiple times that I was concerned about the pro-rata calculation for a roth conversion in a previous year. The accountant they assigned (Jonathon B) was not competent enough to even understand, so it never crossed his mind that he was doing it wrong, despite the fact that I had given him the correct forms. After he completed my return, but before filing, I asked him multiple times to explain how he did a pro-rata calculation. Instead he confused the pro-rata calculation with marginal tax rate, and tried to explain that the software did it. After I asked him to clarify multiple times (because he didn't account for prior contributions) he stopped answering my messages. On asking someone else at the firm for escalation to a different accountant, I was told that Jonathon is one of their most experienced accountants, and that they do not have any CPAs on staff, nor could they provide a referral to one.
