50$!!! ATTENTION!!! THEY'LL DEPOSIT 50$ FROM YOUR CREDIT CARD AND YOU WILL NEVER HAVE IT BACK. After all I just spent my time to call directly to my bank and asked them to refund my 50$ back from the hostel. It's a worst hostel in the US. Don't expect a hot shower here and the water cold as hell here. Stuff don't care about. And BTW no kitchen and no even drinking water for people. Nothing. They don't care about you when you waiting for check in or out. And worker of the hotel will always explain you how he/she don't care about you and your situation and any of your problem because they really don't care. They was never educated for this. And it's expensive as hell after all so they ask money but do worst service that you can have ever. They here to take your money that's all. We deserve better hospitality here in Miami. So don't be afraid of them and don't be polite with this people becose and if they don't. read more

I don't write reviews but I downloaded the yelp app just to warn people. Please PLEASE don't stay here. The pictures look NOTHING like what it actually looks like. We found a random serrated hunting knife just hanging out in our empty room. The rooms are disgusting and dirty. There are mattresses just laying on the floor. The employees fight with each other in front of customers and are rude. There were gross guys sitting in front of the building catcalling us. It's in a sketchy part of town, it's a sketchy place. We felt so unsafe we grabbed all of our stuff and found a last minute hotel room. Only one member of the staff spoke English and the rest shouted at me in Spanish. I can't speak Spanish, I'm not deaf. There is also fine print taxes that you have to pay so you end up paying more than you anticipated. Even though we didn't stay there they wouldn't refund us. Just don't do it. read more

Rented the apartment portion of the hostel that has space for 16 people including stove, fridge, sink, and microwave. The apartment was better than we expected from the hostel. The apartment was clean, quiet and spacious for our 11 person group and two kids. The hostel was the only affordable option we had since we booked a week before our arrival. Our only complaint would be check-in since it was difficult to get a staff member to help us check in. Continental breakfast was coffee, 3 different types of cereal, hard boiled eggs, and toast. Great place and I'd stay again! read more

You get what you pay for, and it's definitely worth the value. We paid about $60 for one night. The hot tub was nice (maybe a little over chlorinated) and the ambience was welcoming. The bar and restaurant is currently closed so no review in regards to these amenities. The $20 deposit posted to my account so even though my card was ran twice, the second time with the intention of returning the deposit, so I still have to get that fixed. Overall a decent experience and I would stay here again. read more

I stayed with friends for several days at Bikini Hostel and it was definitely the right choice. The Hostel is located very close to the beach (10 min walk) and is in a very safe area. We are four girls and never felt uncomfortable. The staff is very helpful, they take all the time needed to answer questions and were very patient when we wanted to rebook several times. All of them are really nice, Emily and Rusty gave us loads of advice where to go out etc. The rooms are rather small, but very clean and the bathrooms are nice, light and clean. I would definitely come back again and recommend it to everyone, who wants to stay close to the beach and bars, but also in a safe and nice place. read more

This was horrible a horrible place. It was expensive, filthfy and very unfriendly. I even saw cockroaches in the room. Their breakfast was bad coffee and cerial - nothing more. read more

The pictures lied. We paid a pretty good amount of money for a 9 person apartment/room. The beds were horrid, looked like they slapped together some planks from Home Depot and found a prison mattress. So uncomfortable, and often found myself sinking in between the boards like it's quicksand. The refrigerator smelled like there was a dead rat lurking in the corners. We definitely expected more out of the place. The staff is nice enough, they provided us with blankets and extra towels, as well as most of the things we asked for. The "breakfast" consisted of General Mills cereal, milk, cold tea and "gourmet" coffee that tasted very much like cough medicine. read more

Dirty! Loud! Sketchy! It's like having a sleepover at a bar. Do not recommend. You're better off sleeping in a car or at the airport. The rooms look nothing like the pictures. Smells terrible. We had a twelve hour layover and just wanted to take a nap before we left. That was not the case. I couldn't not sleep for more that 10 minutes at a time. read more

Worst experience I've ever had with a hostel. Do not think of booking here during a holiday time ever. Let me preface this by saying that I have backpacked through Europe for 3 months and have stayed in over 15 hostels in my life and never received such poor customer service as I have at Bikini Hostel. I was supposed to stay here for New Year's Eve with a friend, and we had put a deposit down on a twin private room for at least 4 months in advance. We even paid in full one month in advance for the room, and then received no communication but came to find out that our room was somehow cancelled. I called over 10 times to the front desk, where they finally talked to me and initially told me that our room was cancelled by hosteworld.com. So after trying for days to get a hold of customer service at hosteworld.com, I find out the General Manager in fact at Bikini Hostel has cancelled my room instead and they were trying to cover their own butts. To make matters worse, instead of the GM apologizing to my friend and I profusely for the mistake, she is no where to be found and the front desk tells me over 5 times a different day/time to call to get a hold of her. So if I were you, I'd spend a little bit more money on a NYE or holiday weekend to ensure you get a room reserved because apparently 1. putting a deposit down 4 months in advance, and 2. paying in FULL for the room a month in advance, will not guarantee you a room, and management clearly does not care about the people that are staying at this establishment. read more

Bikini Hostel is a great place for the well travelled and those familiar with hostels. Great location. Close to the beach and nightlife but far enough to feel some solitude. I've stayed on a few times. I would stay again. read more

It's not worth the money. We have just come back from there and had an awful experience. The staff was very unfriendly and provided bad service. There were sheet, towel, and even sand on my bed. The staff was unable to clean the sand and transferred me to another room. However, there was no available bed there! And the staff couldn't find me a bed. At last I had to sleep in the noisy TV lounge. I had such an uncomfortable night though I paid $50. And the staff neither apologized nor showed any compassion. Then we called the hostel three times to solve the problem but was rudely treated. We wanted to talk to the manager but was refused by the staff at the phone. She was so rude that she disrupted us every time when we were speaking. She said it was all my fault that I couldn't find a bed. She said because we were not Florida citizens so she could treat me any way she wanted. She said they had policy so that they didn't need to provide at least normal service. She even said all the spiritual hurt I got didn't deserve her compassion. She even hung up the phone. All in all, if you just want to stay and enjoy the party, this might be a right place. But if you want to have a comfortable night, you'd better go to somewhere else. read more

Really fun place to stay in South Beach. Great social atmosphere, good drink specials, and relaxed vibe. Helped to nake the most of my Miami trip. Front desk was really helpful and accommodating. Just a short walk to Ocean Druve and all the action on the beach read more

The best thing about this place was the nice people (guests) that I met & the activities provided (night club$). The staff are from mediocre to OK...a bit dry! The beds were uncomfortable & it would get a bit hot in the mornings. The beer garden is nice, but the beers are expensive (18% gratuity & tax) so a $4 dollar beer comes out to 5 dollars, also bottle waters are $2 dollars. The breakfast was the cheapest that I have ever seen, basically white bread, coffee, & cereal. Bottom line: for the price is cheap but a bit of a hike to the beach & main clubs. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Literally the worst establishment I've ever experienced. Even tho it's cheap, they could at least try to keep the place cleans and their customers happy. They make you put your own sheets on the bed, the top bunk is lIke 3 feet from the ceiling, the air is blasted almost all night, there are roaches everywhere, the music is too loud even on a Monday evening, the MANAGER couldn't even accommodate me when I needed a place to stay for 2 hours, was willing to pay for it. PLEASE don't let the pictures and advertisements fool you. 0 out of 100. Only good thing about it was the bartenders Brittney and Sophia read more

This place does not even deserve one star. Me and my friend booked private room 4 months prior to our trip. When we arrived we were told that they overbooked, and put us in separate 4 person dorms. They were not willing to help us find other arrangements, but were willing to allow us to get a refund. We paid over 100 dollars to stay in private room, and when we booked the four person dorms were around 20 dollars. They were not willing to compensate us for any money lost if we stayed. We receiving no phone call informing us of this change prior to arriving at the hostel at midnight, and paying a 30 dollar shuttle fee from airport. THIS IS RIDICULOUS, AND NOT HOW YOU RUN A BUSINESS!!!!! read more

After reading some of the reviews I was pretty nervous booking here but I have come to realize that many people who write reviews expect diamonds while paying for gravel. First of this is a hostel not a hotel. Yes there is a difference. The beds were ok but not great, the room wasn't new or modern, and there was music blaring most of the night. But if I wanted brand new and quiet I could have spent a fortune on a HOTEL! We booked the 2 queen private room and paid a quarter of what a hotel would be. What we did get was to meet people for Israel, Montreal, France, and other places. We played beer pong till midnight and had fun. What this place lacks in amenities it makes up for uniqueness. I would love to come back and visit when it's busy and see how it is. read more

Place is hoppin' on some nights. There is pool, ping pong, plenty of places to sit and lounge and drink. The pool is dirty though Staying there is fairly dirty and can be dangerous (people have problems with theft). Their food is good and staff is extremely friendly. They give returning guests discounts to give good ratings on hostel websites!! I honestly would stay there again.. the price is great for the location read more

Comfortable, not so cheap place to crash when in Miami. Pretty cool Jacuzzi but a little skeptical given the activities of the occupants at about 4am. (please don't make me spell it out now) BBQ organized was fun, Ping Pong table was the highlight and nice, fun young people to boot. read more

Great, clean, best value around. Would stay here again! Very close to Lincoln Mall!

Great place to hang in the evening and have a cheap beer. Very casual.. Student visitor flair. But laid back. A somewhat ok pool and ping pong table outside make this place a great stop-by. Don't expect luxury, but if you like the vibe I'd recommend to step by! read more

First time in a hostel and have to say it is great for the price. Staff is really great and helpful in every way. Location is good and not too far from Sobe. Good prices for food and drinks and the bartender Christina is great. A must if you are in Miami and on a budget. read more

This review is for the beer garden only, since I haven't stayed in the hostel. What an awesome place to hang out any evening of the week! Great selection of beers/wines, and their quesadillas and other handheld foods are great. Amit is a great host and the waitresses are attentive and welcoming. Will definitely be coming back again! read more

In general the hostel is really cool! The place is really chill and there is an outdoor area with ping pong and pool tables and even a jaccuzi. There are also many fun young people. The location is good as well. A real downside we experienced during our stay was the kitchen. We stayed there in total for 5 nights - the first three nights it was closed, the fourth night you could use it partly and the last night when it was finally supposed to be open again it was used by the staff. They put up a sign really late that it was closed between 6.00 and 8.30 pm (which is obviously the prime time for eating). And when we finally wanted to enter at 8.30 they kept telling us they needed more time. When you are paying $70 a night during new year's eve time you expect at least a kitchen you can use! read more

I loved the way of this place. As soon as you do the check in, Ashley receives you with a lovely smile, trying to help you out in all what you need. The other thing I liked the most was the kind of people you meet here. They are really awesome. And the breakfast is the best one! read more

Was a pretty good value for the money. Can't really complain. The staff was a little misinformed on some local events and the air conditioner was just too undersized for this Miami Heat. "Free" breakfast is code for cereal with shelf stable milk, so don't really count on that. All in all not bad. I would recommend to a friend. read more

So, I have a friend visiting me in Tampa from Germany and we decided to head to MIami Beach for the weekend to get a taste of Florida's biggest metro area. My first instinct was to book a Motel 6 in Miami proper for an unbelievable $77, just one night, Saturday. Since Hostels in Germany and Europe tend to be pretty excellent we decided to find one in Miami Beach and this one seemed to have ok reviews. We arrived a bit before check-in and sat in the lobby and quickly got acquaninted with two other guys who were staying there, one from Germany and one from Mexico, so typical hostel style cultural exchange. Well, the lobby and the Biergarten were the nicest things about the hostel. Combining my experience with hostels in Germany and what a typical American motel offers, this place was very underwhelming. For two beds, one night, plus parking the total came up to a bit over $70. $20 for parking seemed a bit extreme to me and there weren't many places to chose from. I was quite afraid I would come back and all the spaces would be gone. The rooms for 9 people contained 3-3 level bunk beds that were quite tight. I chose the bottom bunk and I'm pretty sure I was practically lying on the floor, it was quite hard. My linens had quite a few gross stains on them and the corners of the bunk bed frames had obviously never been dusted or vacuumed. The bathroom wasn't that gross, but I guess they change the shower curtains every so often because the one in our room was hanging up only by 4 links. The jacuzzi and the kitchen looked pretty standard, but the pool was not at all what you would've expected from a hostel in Florida. It was above ground and had some kind of grass skirt-like trim around it. The only clue that it was a pool was the ladder going into it. Very strange. That being said, I would stay here again I suppose, mainly because of its proximity to the sites and the price. read more

Best hostal ever! I wanna go back I met some amazing friends! Live it and had a grat time Im really looking forward to go back

Worst lodge or hostel everrrrrr.....never booked here!!! The hotel rooms didn't look like anything at all like on their website. They totally showing fake pictures on the internet. This place is dirty and unpleasant.. read more

I've been here for 5 nights and had no problems! The staff are friendly and helpful, always giving tips and doing their best to keep you happy! It's big, clean (minus the inevitable sand) and very sociable. It's quite a party hostel though, so if you go to bed early and don't like going out, either stay in a private room or avoid, but otherwise it's great. There is always great music playing, they provide breakfast if you're up early enough, a cheap bar, pool tables, small pool and Jacuzzi, fridges in each room and nights out are organised. read more

This hostel is located right in Miami Beach in walking distance of the beach, restaurants and night clubs. The staff was super friendly, especially Rusty was very helpful when we arrived late at night and had some problems with our booking.
