Cons: Conditions in the room do not meet the health regulations of most developed nations. Room was dirty with trash in many places. Sheets were dirty and had bodily fluids on them. Kitchen utensils were last washed in the Bush administration. Shower was dirty so I did not use it as I would have likely came out dirtier after the shower. Breakfast was comprised of a bowl of fruit loops in a styrofoam bowl and severely undercooked eggs. Me and my 2 friends were robbed in this hostel. When trying to report it we were told that there are no cameras in the hallway. so somebody walked into our room and stole my bank card leaving me stranded in miami with no way to do anything they stole my watch. My friends beats pill and 20 dollers and 85 dollars from my sisters purse. I want to make a complaint and make sure no one stays here. As i have stayed in plenty of hostels aroubd the world i even work for ine i england. This place is an abomination and shoukd be closed down. I am currently in the process of filling out a police report as the front desk would not call the police for me. And the banger no cctv. What kind of place it this.  On further inspection  the police asked the front desk to give the police their managers name or Her name the flat out refused to do so they were not trying to help the investigation. As we were talking to the police officer 2 other people realised they had been robbed to so the police officer had to write out 2 further reports on the robbery but still they did not want to help. God forbid if i had been raped or worse. The front desk was no help. Everything about that place is false advertising and a lie. It is not safe. People not even in your hostel are walking around. So of course robberies are an occurance. And me complaing to the front desk if i did not have a correct head on my shoulders would have been fobbed off. As talking to other guests  its not the first time someone has been robbed and with the hostel not wanting to report it to the police sounds and is shady.  The police are investigating the hostel. This place was awful. I especially do NOT recommend this place to a single female traveler. There are tons of sketchy guys hanging around the place at all hours. The women's area is right next to the main street and incredibly noisy - I slept horribly for both nights I stayed. There were constantly men coming into the women's room (some of the female guests would let them in.) Hotel staff did not care. The beds were less comfortable than a hospital cot. Really terrible. The "free" WiFi was unusable. The business is incredibly disorganized. They do not answer the phone when you call. I left an item behind, sent an email and left a voicemail, never got any sort of response at all. This place is ghetto and worse than I ever imagined! read more

Stayed for 5 days on spring break, great place to meet other travelers and comfortable place to hang out. Rooms are clean and set up well and staff was very friendly. Almaz Yussupov and Annifreed Sinjour especially mad my stay very comfortable as a solo traveler in a new place. Almaz helps put the Happy in Happy hour with the best jokes and sense of humor. This hostel needs a deep cleaning overall and some new paint will make a big difference. Lockers are small but big enough for a medium backpack. The bunkbeds were ok. The female's 6 and 8 bed dorms connects to each other, divided by a door. The AC in the 6 bed dorm wasn't working so well but the one in the 8 bed dorm was great. The 6 bed dorm is facing the Beer garden so it can get loud as the music is loud and people stay up late to drink n party. The 8 bed dorm faces the big West street so it can be a bit loud but not bad. Headphone will help with the noise and I'm usually too tired from the day activities so I didn't notice it that much. But if you're sensitive to noises, you'll notice it. The 2 female dorms listed above all share 1 bathroom and 2 sinks right outside the bathroom. So if everyone wants to take a shower at the same time will be a challenge. It wasn't busy when I stayed there so that wasn't an issue. Note that the shower head is the opposite, Cold is Hot and Hot is Cold. Daily house keeping is at 2pm. My stuff didn't get stolen like other reviews... as long as you lock your stuff up and not leaving things around, you'll be ok. The common area in the garden (Beer garden) is my favorite, great place to chill. Atiff and Hailey were the best, they made me feel so comfortable and feel right at home. Thank you!!! The vibe varies, depending on the people who stay and the hosts that day. But hey, enjoy yourself anyway. You're in Miami after all. For the price of $20/day i think it's a pretty decent stay over all... However the whole place does need a deep cleaning as it's the main issue here. Ask for discount if you stay for a few days as it's possible. PS: $20 parking per day at the hoatel if you have a car. Breakfast daily from 8-10am with toasts, boiled eggs, and pankcakes. Don't expect much cause it's a hostel. Enjoy your stay in Miami. You'll love the beach... but probably will hate the humidity as it does get really hot. Bring water, sunblock, sunglass and sunblocks with you. Don't forget to see the Sunset at the beach also... it's gorgeous!!!! Tip: Miami South beach (Ocean avue and 13rd street) is about 20-25mins walk from the hostel. Parking there is hard and can get expensive (for $4/hour) ... But you can get around this area for Free using the Trolly. The pickup station is right on Alton and 13rd street, about 1 street down from the hostel. It will take you to many stops along the famous/busy areas on Collin, Alton, Washington streets. Just pick where you want to get off. Ask for the map at the hostel front desk or from the Trolly itself. All the actions happen on South beach, around Lummus park and along Ocean/Collin avenue from 6th street to 20th street I think. Street parking is available but such as hassel as the street is crowded with people walking all the time. There's a parking garage on 13th street right by Ocean avenue if you're interested. Same rate as street parking, $4/hour. Best to park there and walk around. You can pay by Parkingmobile app or online or find a parking station even though the former ones are more common. read more

Booked this place through airbnb - first of all, false advertising. They did not say this was a hostel. We did get a private room, however, it was infested with bed bugs. My friend who booked this place emailed and called the manager; we were able to find other accommodations however the manager never called or emailed my friend back, which in my opinion is VERY unprofessional. Thankfully, My friend was able to get a full refund through airbnb after airing our complaints and showing photo and video proof of the bed bugs, since this place would not do anything for us, the staff working didn't even care and there were a lot of sketchy people there. What poor management. I'd also like to add that we paid the same price at our new accommodations, which was shocking considering our new hotel was very upscale and right on the water and we obviously had very short notice since we left the hostel around 3am with all our luggage and no where to go. read more

I'm rating this place as an outside beer garden. The place really makes you feel like you are at home with all your friends. Only you don't know the people. The welcoming feel by the staff and just the great vibe is second to none. It is a gem in South Beach that is so not tourist South Beach. This is a place to hide away from the South Beach high class and just relax. The prices are more than reasonable for the area for food and beer. You can get a large selection of beers for under 4 $ and even take a dive in hot tub or pool free of charge. There is an outside pool table and ping pong table for entertainment. All in all this is the ultimate chill out spot to just catch up with an old friend or meet a new friend. read more

Got a full refund from Orbitz, because I had to sleep in a car. Bed bug bites on both arms after sitting on the brown sheets or the vinyls bed for 5-10 mins. Sheets and towels look brown, not white any longer. Had a reservation, which was paid, for 6 female only dorm; and they put me in a 9 male&female mix dorm. I said sure, and tried to relax on the third top bed in the 9 people room. Then, the bed made squeaky sound and was unstable. There was another guest who is drunk and rude too. I came in to get the $2 "resort" fee refund and learned that the included breakfast is super crappy. Milk& cereals! You pay $50 for this, seriously. I had a terrible experience. read more

Bikini Hostel was a cool experience overall. I will detail a few problems we had below but I won't open with that, because I would still recommend it and may even stay there again. You can't beat the price, especially if you stay during the off-season (summer months). It's surprisingly clean for such a young crowd. The private twin room is really small, but worth booking if you don't want to sleep alongside eight drunk, snoring strangers (ah, hostel life). Small rooms don't really matter when you've got a million places to go and things to do around South Beach, anyway. It's a bunk bed and the bedding was comfy. The AC was on point, we were never too hot and had full control over the temperature. The only major gripes? First of all, they tack on charges that you won't find out about until you arrive at the front desk. During online booking, the rate was stated per person, per night for a specific room, with a disclaimer about tax. I sent an email requesting the actual total including all fees for my booking after they had confirmed, and was completely ignored. Unless they're making up fees on the fly, there's no reason this info shouldn't be available. Upon arrival, there was an increased rate for seemingly random days during our stay, with tax and a "resort fee" and an additional unknown fee per person, per room. The result was paying over $150 extra. A pretty dishonest system, but I guess they know people don't have a choice when they've arrived. You either shell out or find another place to stay. The end price was still a lot cheaper than most local places, but it sucks to begin your trip feeling taken advantage of. While most staff at this place is cool, the front desk staff aren't helpful. The guy at the front rolled his eyes like he was totally bored when I asked why our final price was so much higher than it had originally been stated, and just re-stated the same zoned-out speech about extra fees. Second gripe... Not a massive problem because we're not slobs, but house cleaning didn't enter our room even once. We didn't request new linens, so whatever. But she was also pretty audacious. While we were outside in the beer garden having a drink and smoke, she walked up to the table, yelled "permítame!" and grabbed my lighter. Um, it's okay for her to use it, but then she threw it back on the table without even looking and walked away. It was so rude that all I could do was laugh. Wtf? One final negative experience was with a short haired blonde woman on staff who we approached after our door code was changed a day before we checked out. She argued that it hadn't actually happened, but when it was found that someone HAD changed our code prematurely, she brushed us off rudely like we had done something wrong, and told us to get the new code. It was really obnoxious, and I'm a pretty tolerant, easy-going gal. But like I said, overall good vibes. We spent 5 days and ate a lot of good food and met some cool people there. The alcohol selection is pretty great, too. The hookah was a little weak. The hostel organizes a lot of free-food-oriented events (BBQs, pizza parties, etc) in the beer garden area outside. Service charge is included when you order food/drinks but only a small percentage of that goes to the girls who work behind the bar. That really sucks, because we couldn't afford to constantly endure an 18% service charge and then tip on top of that. They never acted rude though, and were super helpful. At one point some food I ordered was late, and the guy behind the bar gave me a free beer for waiting. Little gestures like that go a long way! I didn't even expect it. So, a mixed bag of experiences, but overall yes, I would recommend this place. It was fun, chill, and comparatively cheap. read more

My friend and I made a booking to stay at this Hostel following our Central American trip. In the end we ended up staying in Central America longer, so we called the Hostel to cancel our booking. They refused to accept a cancellation over the phone and insisted that we e-mail them. Unfortunately we were in a remote place without access to e-mail so we were not able to send an e-mail within their 72 hour cancellation period. Once we finally did e-mail them, they said that they would still charge us for our first night ($100) despite our cancellation because it was not by e-mail within 72 hours of arrival. Since we had already paid a $23.20 deposit, our first night should have been $100 - $23.20 = $76.80 but they charged my card for an additional $113 on top of the deposit. Very unethical business. Fortunately I paid with a credit card so I will be disputing the charge. read more

Came to this spot from a Groupon $16 for 4 drinks and a hookah. There were no restrictions on what drinks we could order so that was good. I got 2 Screwdrivers and they were made well. We got a small hookah which was okay, nothing fancy. The chicken quesadillas I ordered was tasty & filling, but it had boiled eggs in it which was different but it still tasted good. The setting itself is ...interesting & laid back, far from the hustle & bustle of the busy Miami beach on Ocean Drive. They played country music the whole time which was not really our cup of tea... The worst hostel I ever stayed in my life. I don't recommend it to anyone! I arrived on December 30th for a 5 day stay. I didn't stay 2 hours. The pictures on the hostel world website and on the hostel website itself are misleading advertising. The beds are of very poor quality, super thin mattress. My room smelled like a sewer. The bathroom window was broken. A lot of dirt. Zero security, anyone has access to the rooms. When I arrived an attendant took me to the room and put me in a bed where there was already a person. He simply took the other person's things and told me to stay there. The boy had a reservation until 1/1. Impossible to stay. I talked to the manager who told me I'd make a refund, but first I had to notify the hostel world. I called the hostel world where they asked me to send an email detailing the situation and if possible with photos. I did that. So far I have not received a refund. And the hostel just won't answer anymore! read more

Not the greatest and not exactly the party vibe the name would suggest. Beds are old and top bunk hard to get in and out of. The bunk beds are stacked three high. There's a pool and hot tub I never saw anyone using. It's a bit of a trek to the beach and Ocean Drive but not too bad. They advertise a $20 drink credit to use at their bar but I was told you can't get it until the day AFTER you check out so why even offer it?? As for the bar they were out of just about every drink on the menu I asked for, every time. And they charge for replacement towels. read more

Dirtiest hostel I never been to and a poor customer service. They make us change of rooms 3 times in 3 days and each time we had to wait for the maid who " clean " the room and seriously I had no idea what she was cleaning because it was really dirty. You can't bring beer in the beer garden, you have to pay for the beer that they offer and each beer is 6$. The pool table is at the end of is living and the water of the hot tube is grey. Stayed here for for about a month, weekends are terrible. People smoking weed and cigarettes on balcony. Windows in my room didn't close all the way and you can smell smoke permeating through the rooms. Staff member Angel is the worst, very rude to guests. No proper seating except for outside picnic tables. Morning staff doesn't know how to make coffee or clean coffee machine. Grounds at the bottom on my paper cups on the daily. Dinner is between 5pm-6pm which is the same tiny portion of lasagna or pasta everyday. Wifi password changes daily so prepare to ask for that tiny slip of paper everyday. The Bikini hostel is a great place if you want to meet backpackers and just chill in nicely decorated and clean rooms. However, As a group of seven traveling from the Midwest, we were rather disappointed with the size of the room we paid for and the administrations lack of preparation. We had communicated the need for our room to accommodate seven of us a number of times but this was not done upon arrival. However, the staff like Larry and Cindy were very quick to help us settle down despite the miscommunication. The breakfast is minimal; a toasted bagel, some spread, a boiled egg and some coffee. Anything that can help you through the day especially if you are on a budget is good. WiFi is mostly limited to the main lobby area but TVs with a decent number of channels are available in the rooms. Parking is especially limited for guest with cars and although we paid fifteen dollars a day for parking, we had to be cautious about leaving a spot for fear of not having one to return to later. Towels are available upon request if you ever wanted to use the hot tub or go to the beach but must be returned to the main counter. Room service is also limited to taking out the trash and upon request only. so if you're the type that needs thorough house keeping every single day, you will be disappointed. Overall, bikini hostel may not be the cheapest or even best accommodation you can get in Miami beach. But, their friendly and kind staff and easy going atmosphere gives this place the kind of spring break appeal it boasts. Do not attempt a stay if you are the demanding, fussy, classy sort. Hi guys, I've stayed at this place last week and I really wouldn't recommend it to anyone ! It was dirty, over priced, the room were not really safe because you can enter with a code and so anyone who knows that code can enter it. It was a 9 bedroom dorm 4 3 persons bunk beds another couch and a private room in the back. the room was dirty lots of shit left from other people and we had the share 1 bathroom with the whole room and private room. Alse the breakfast they offer is terrible, shitty coffee, shitty bread with just some over cooked eggs and cereal. I've stayed there 5 night because unfortunately had booked in advance so i couldn't get my money back. Look for something else where there is better prive quality ! read more

Unapologetic, this place has no understanding of customer service and it was far from what was promised. I was affraid to even sit on the couch and once I opened the bathroom door I was in disbelieve. Not sanitary, blood stains on the bathroom towels. Knocts of hair on the bathroom sink. I frequently travel to South Beach Miami and the hostels are always the best bang for my buck. Bikini hostel has always been a nice place to stay out there but this recent stay from 02/10/2021 - 02/16/2021 was made better by them. It's a hostel where you get the bare minimum so don't expect a luxury place. I stayed in room 4B which is a private 2 twin bed room with an AC unit, mirror, small table, and access to shared bathroom. This place is a party place so I could hear the music till 4am because my room was right next door to the courtyard. Room was fine and restroom was fine. The walk to the oceans drive is about 10 minutes (9 blocks) straight through Flamingo park on 13th street. The jacuzzi is always working and fun to enjoy some heat and drink some beers while watching people in the courtyard. Now my returning flight was canceled due to winter storms in Dallas so I had to stay an additional 2 days. Lee ( a fellow Texan) was able to assist me by finding me a room to stay, throughout the stay he even shared his cellphone incase of any issues. He was actively responding via text throughout the stay. Jose (Joe) also assisted me and appears like he's always on the grounds popping up unexpectedly haha. He'll tell you all the local areas you can visit for shopping.Overall I had a good stay and will be back in the near future. read more

OK where to start. Prices were ok, and the location (close to the beach as well as city) was the best part. Other than that, it goes downhill from there. When I arrived, I simply wanted to ask a freaking question--what room is my friend in? He arrived hours before I did (we were sharing a room), and I simply wanted to get my bed sheets and join in. The lady with a man's voice and nasty attitude made me wait about 15 minutes before finally talking to me. She then interrupts and asks if I have a parking space which I said I don't. She tells me to go outside and get one and come back and she'll answer my questions. So I go out and get the parking pass and then come back to ask her where my friend is, but she makes me go back to the end of the line again, this time behind 4 people. After 22 minutes of waiting again, she makes me go out to park in the proper spacing if I "don't want to get towed". I ask her if she can just tell me what room so I don't have to wait in line again after I park and she won't even hear it. So I come back a 3rd time and surely enough 3 people are in line again. After another grueling 18 minutes, I finally ask her, "I just want to know what room my friend is in, we've already checked in and he's here before I am" She gives me the ugliest attitude as if I'M ANNOYING HER BY WAITING IN LINE 3 TIMES!! I told her that I was angry that I had to wait in line a total of 3 times just to see what room number he was in! I was trying to check in, I just needed her to point her freaking finger. Meanwhile, this nasty drunk old man comes in and keeps interrupting me and flirting with her. He apparently works there. Nearly an hour later I finally find out what room my buddy is in, and I am welcomed into a dirty, roach infested room. The bar waitresses are really rude and unhelpful. The food is crap. Don't go here. Just sleep bare naked on the beach but don't sleep there. read more

I traveled a lot and stayed in many hostels I have never broke up any vacation but I left this place after not even a night. The worst was definitely the noise. It is very noisy and even people from outside partied there until 6 AM with loud music and screaming. I complained at 3 AM and 5 AM but the receptionist didn't do anything about the music or loud voices. During the day a view bums were hanging out in the outdoor area and since you were not able to lock your room because they have locking codes and they were not very reliable, you do not feel very safe. I got bed bugs bites and in the bathroom were roaches. The hostel staff was more than rude and lied to me. They did not offer me any other option and also refused to reimburse me for the two other nights which I paid in advance. I would definitely not recommend staying here. It will ruin your whole vacation. I had to fly home after one night. This place was a nightmare! Take that extra dollar and avoid this place at any cost! read more

My friends and I found this hostel online and we thought this would be a nice place to stay for our holiday in Miami. Turned out this has been a great stay for us! The location is great as it is only a 10 minute walk to a really nice beach. The staff were also very helpful with our stay and recommended places for us to visit and hang out. We stayed at a 4 bed mixed dorm and it was pretty clean and convenient. Since we came on a long weekend, the room rate was slightly pricey. But overall, it was a very pleasant stay for me and my friends. I would definitely come again especially for weekday stays on Miami Beach. read more
