We've now hosted our annual Young Adults with Epilepsy Making Waves Gala at Wave Street Studios…read moretwice, and I can honestly say it is one of Monterey's hidden gems. From the moment you begin planning until the last guest leaves the dance floor, Rhett and his family are incredibly hands-on, responsive, and genuinely invested in making your event a success. It's truly a family affair, with Rhett, his wife, son, and daughter all pitching in to make everything feel seamless. One of the things that sets Wave Street Studios apart is how effortlessly the space transforms throughout the evening. Our guests enjoyed dinner, then the room transitioned beautifully into a lively dance floor without missing a beat. The lighting, technology, and overall atmosphere create a magical experience that feels both sophisticated and welcoming. Rhett also coordinated seamlessly with one of their preferred catering partners, Fire on Wheels Pizza, who not only served fantastic food but even created a custom signature mocktail just for our event. It was such a thoughtful touch that our guests loved. Hosting a nonprofit gala requires countless moving pieces, and having a venue partner who anticipates needs, solves problems before they arise, and truly cares is invaluable. Wave Street Studios does exactly that. Add in the tremendous value for everything that's included, and it's hard to imagine a better event venue on the Monterey Peninsula. What we especially love is that it doesn't feel like another generic hotel ballroom. The space has personality, warmth, and a sense of place that made our guests feel like they were part of something truly special. It created an experience--not just an event. If you're looking for a unique venue for a fundraiser, wedding, corporate event, or celebration, I can't recommend Wave Street Studios highly enough. We look forward to coming back again.

I felt relaxed & confident in front of the screen. What made it so much easier, even though I memorized the script, was having the teleprompter right there within the face of the camera (IPad) so all I had to do was read the script & it looked as if I was looking directly into the camera. Mike operated the camera & interviewed me at the same time, which went smoothly in one take, but we did 2 just as backup. We shot at the golden hour, around 3pm, which made the video/ photos turn out stunning! He also took shots of me posing in workout stances to assist the verbal testimonial. I love the results of both the video & photographs! Overall, Mike Buffo was personable & professional & I would definitely recommend him as your next videographer! Thank you!! Yvonne Foletta :)

Being a Big Sur/Monterey local, Adam provided extremely helpful insight and feedback for my proposal. He definitely helped relieve a lot of the stress during the planning phase of my proposal. On the day of the actual shoot, the day-of jitters was overwhelming at times, but Adam's energy and demeanor was very centering. He was patient and gave my new fiancee and I space to calm ourselves, and also knew when to take charge and guide us with our poses. He also had amazing and creative ideas for how to pose and brought us to local, reclusive spots to take intimate photos. Best of all, Adam always had a smile on his face and he made us really think like we were supermodels walking the runway haha. If you're going to do any photoshoot, especially a proposal or engagement shoot, in the Big Sur/Monterey area, I would highly recommend getting Adam!!

He was easy to communicate with and always responsive. The day of the wedding, Steven and his team were on time and extremely professional. They worked well with our photographers. Steven and his team helped coordinate our first look, a special moment that they captured perfectly. My husband (!!) and I are not that comfortable in front of the camera, but with Steven's friendly directions and artistic vision, it was really a painfree process! Through the ceremony, Steven and his team were discreet but always in the corner of my eye, filming and documenting the day. After the day was done, Steven called us to wish us well and gave us some awesome recommendations for restaurants in the area as well. The cinematic video edit is perfect, and to be able to relive the day with a dynamic and kinetic video in addition to our photos was truly a great decision. The transitions in both the cinematic edit and family films are fantastic - nothing is choppy or clunky. From a technical aspect (from a non-technical person) - the videos are beautifully made, using drone shots, well-lit even during our nighttime dancing, with great, clear audio. It's a truly professional production. He captured the joy, the celebration, and the voices of our loved ones that we'll get to cherish for life. I can't put a price on being able to share these videos with our loved ones who couldn't make it to the wedding and I'll always be eternally grateful to Steven for working so hard to document one of the best days of my life.
