Great selection of homemade salsas, pickled items, and ALL the things. INCLUDING desserts. They even have had chopped beef sandwiches available the last few times we've been. EXCELLENT! The ambiance is better than what I would expect for a meat market. Doesn't smell, so that's a plus. Everything is nicely laid out. Absolutely recommend Bon Ton!

It has been a year since starting to go here. A friend of mine wanted to know if halal vs…read morenon-halal meats tasted different. So being the non-Muslem, I decided to help him decide. It is located in an old strip mall behind another building. This lead to no front door parking. So I found a spot and walked over. It is a small store with groceries to the right and a meat/butcher counter to the left. The store only had a couple of customers in it at that time. I strolled around the limited groceries and they had the basics. Then I wandered back toward the meat counter. Dividing the two sections I found precut meats. This is when I decided to do my test on chicken breasts. Couldn't find the full breasts so I went with smaller cut pieces. Just an FYI, you can request any cuts of meats at the counter. But I didn't want to wait so I grabbed and headed to pay and go. The results, BTW, halal meat was more tender and tasted the same and prices the same

The staff was incredibly attentive, warm, and genuine--like I had been away and just returned. The broccolini was incredible--perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The steak was absolutely scrumptious, cooked just right and rich in all the best ways. And the potatoes... I truly couldn't have done them better myself. Crispy, golden, and I'm convinced they were cooked in beef tallow--they were that good. This wasn't just a meal. It was an experience.

Trying Bar 3 Ranch meat had been on our family's bucket list for years, and finally, this past…read moreOctober, we managed to snag a half cow for this spring. When our date got closer, Jeff sent over the final weight for our share, and it caught me off guard because it was so much bigger than the past shares we've gotten through other local farms. As it turns out, there's a reason. When we picked up our meat, we found Jeff excited to share how he raises and feeds his cows and why, ultimately, his meat is far superior. (He didn't say as much, but as you can see by the photo, it's incredibly clear that there's no comparison.) We learned more about the care and feeding of cows that afternoon than we thought possible but we loved every minute. He was also great with our kids, taking them to see and pet his horses. Afterwards, he even called me to share his favorite recipe for flanken ribs. But how does it TASTE, you ask? As a reformed 25+ year vegetarian, I can't stand the smell of most grassfed beef that has come into this house. (We've done multiple cow shares before through other ranches, all the same - the smell is nauseating.) Bar 3 Ranch, though... totally different. There is NO gamey smell, no gamey taste and my husband gives me the side eye now because he has to share his steaks with me. It's GOOD. Like, REALLY GOOD. Words are probably not going to do this justice, so I'm attaching a photo of the difference between Jeff's meat and our last half cow from another/local ranch. There is just no comparison.
