Big House Towing is absolutely amazing! My daughter was stranded in a parking lot locked out of her car in Ypsilanti. She was very upset so I called for a tow truck. After a huge runaround with AAA we were just going to pay to get her in her car. Big House Towing insisted on sending out a tow truck right away for her safety while we waited for AAA approval. I had a flat tire and needed a tow, I called them and they said 30-40 minutes. I had to call numerous times and remind them that they never took my number. Finally the driver called me and he couldn't find me ! Numerous calls back & forth with him to try to explain my location. He said the dispatch canceled my request then gave him the wrong location...!!!all while stuck on the road with cars zooming past...very stressed and they don't respond as needed. Finally after an hour and half the driver showed up- he ended up being very kind. But the whole experience was unnecessarily Very frustrating. read more

His car was in PERFECT condition before towing. Never ever had an issue with the car. He went to drive it after it got towed and the transmission was completely destroyed as well as several other issues. $5000 in repairs and Big House Towing is refusing to help with any of it. Hassan was the name of the driver. He assured me and my brother beforehand that he was a professional at his job. He destroyed my brother's car who is 19 years old and goes to college hours away from home. This company is a DISGRACE and should be very ashamed of themselves. They towed my car without my permission and charged me $800 for steeling my car and storage fees. On top of that they damaged my car. Very unreliable shop. I hired an attorney to get my money back and force them to pay back all damages they caused on my car. Do not trust this shop. read more

One of the drivers today 8-19-2022. Ignoring the turn lane they were in (going northbound on Golfside at the Golfside/Washtenaw intersection), almost ran someone into lane divider when they decided to go straight instead of turning ad indicated by their turn signal. Can't speak for the actual work they do, but I would be wary if they were towing a vehicle. Just be careful when you see the vehicles driving around, for your own safety and others. read more

Had a flat. Went through AAA to get a tow. AAA gave me an estimated time of 45min. Great! I was at work, so I walked back to my car, which was not close, so I could meet him there. On my walk I got an update from AAA saying the driver was on his way and would be there shortly. Hour and 20 minutes later, still no tow truck. Called BIG HOUSE TOWING directly to get an estimate. Driver had not even been dispatched! "Yeah, we get a lot of calls. He'll be there in 25 min." Really? If you're bus, fine! Just say that so I'm not sitting around waiting for your for 2 hours. These people display a startling degree of incompetence. AAA dispatched them to my home to change a tire and they botched the job so badly that they severely damaged my hub, bearings, and lug nuts. I had to have my dealer repair the car, which cost me $1286. Neither AAA nor Big House Towing disputed that they did this damage but they refused to reimburse me. So, I have now had to file a claim through my insurer, which should have been unnecessary in such a clear cut case of negligence. My advice is that if AAA sends Big House Towing to you, tell them to turn around and leave. read more

THIS COMPANY IS NIGHTMARE! AVOID THEM!! On Friday, October 25th my Insurance Co., Auto Owners contacted Bighouse Towing to tow me to a car dealer when my quit in a Taco Bell drive thru at Midnight. One of the workers pushed me to a out the drive and to a side street off State St. in Ann Arbor. I was told 40 minutes. During that time I received numerous calls from the driver who was very confused and each time I stated take I-94 west and head south on State Street and I was down about 1/2 mile in front of Taco Bell. I even gave him the nearest cross street. He was having difficulty understanding the directions and at one point stated he saw me on I-94. No, I'm off State St. He could have searched for Taco Bell on State St. to make it very easy. He arrives and as he walks up to my car and takes a phone call. HE THEN INFORMS ME HE CAN'T HELP ME AND HE HAS TO TAKE ANOTHER CALL DOWNTOWN AND THERE WILL BE ANOTHER WRECKER ALONG IN 40 MINUTES! And he leaves me and it's now 1:00 AM! About 15 minutes later I receive a call from Bighouse telling me the second wrecker broke down. They can't reach my insurance company, so would I call and have the find another company to help me! I did and I'm told another 40 minutes by my insurance company! Avoid this company at all costs! read more

AAA dispatched Big House Towing last night for my daughter's car. The incident occurred on I-23 N, exit 34. Big House Towing kept telling AAA they were on their way, but I don't believe they ever had any intention of showing up. Most tow truck drivers will call to let you know they are enroute, or close. Heard nothing from Big House, only the reports from AAA they were 10 minutes away, but again, never showed up. Please don't waste your time. Ask for another tow service company read more

We give this company 1 star only because 0 stars are not accepted. Our son works with MDOT. While assisting 2 stranded drivers on M-14 at Gotfredson Rd after dark, Bighouse Towing arrived for the call. Upon arrival, the tow truck was parked on a curve in the interstate with the tail of his truck blocking the right lane, and completely unlit. The driver's rudeness compounded the situation upon being asked to move his truck out of the lane, and being warned that he was going to cause an accident. Only minutes later, 2 cars were involved in an accident where one of the drivers' airbags deployed and he was very disoriented to the point that 5 minutes had gone by when EMS arrived and he still did not know where he was. Shortly before EMS arrived, the Bighouse Towing driver fled the scene, thus committing a felony. Upon arrival of MSP, they were given witness statements by our son and the others involved at the scene. MSP dispatched another trooper to make the arrest at the towing company. This incident is just part of the long list of issues our son has with dealing with Bighouse Towing while on his job. Word to the wise, if you ever need roadside assistance, and call AAA, request that they send anyone BUT Bighouse Towing. read more

I have nothing but praise for Bighouse Towing. Recently, my tire went flat while I was driving and I had to get off the road immediately. I pulled into a shopping center parking lot. Realizing that I had no other choice, I pulled the items out of the trunk and was just about to work on the first lug nut, when I heard someone say, "Ma'am, we'll do that for you." I turned around and saw two smiling men in uniforms. Without realizing it, I had pulled into the lot next to a AAA Roadside Assistance truck. Probably sensing a disaster in the making, these two gentlemen came over, and completed in five minutes, what would have taken me at least half an hour, assuming I could have even loosed the lug nuts. Adding to their heroics, they both burned their fingers on the hot metal parts of the tire. I didn't have any cash but offered to pay by credit. They declined. I offered them lunch or cold drinks, but they said they had just eaten. I even offered to get them some aloe for their fingers, but they said I didn't owe them anything. The truth is, I owed them big time. I was supposed to make a 200-mile round trip that day, that had been planned for a year. Knowing this, Sammi (I believe is his name) found the closest tire repair shop for me, so that I could get my tired fixed and make my trip. They saved my whole day out of shear kindness. If I ever need help and am in their area, I will be calling them, and you should too. Thank you, guys!!!! You don't know how much what you did meant to me! read more
