There are a lot of different projects available, but expect to spend about $30 for a bowl or plate. I chose a small plate and had a lot of fun decorating it to my liking. I might need to go back and make myself a full set! The staff was really nice and walked us through the whole process. Despite being a large party, the staff never rushed us, which was much appreciated. Overall, I had a great experience at The Hot Spot. Pricing was fair for what you get and there aren't any sitting fees, which was nice. If you plan on going, call ahead to reserve a table. I can't wait to go back!

WOW! My friends invited us to a Facebook Live cooking show with Chef Jonathan Chapin of Reno…read moreRecipes. This event was a dinner and show that would rival any fun night out in Reno. Chef Jonathan puts on a raucous, joke-filled (R-rated), cooking show with audience participation and brings along a wonderful cast of cooking teammates to make for a wonderful event! When we arrived at our friend's home, there were appetizers and drinks out. Chef Jonathan laid the ground rules for the live show, and then the jokes started. I'm sure he would use different one's if kids were present, but if you're over 18, all bets are off! LOL The live show had humor, great smells, drinks handed out, and tastings for the guests. He made food for vegetarians, lactose-free dishes, and all different types of food preferences...truly a remarkable feat. During the show, I learned a few things, laughed a lot, and was VERY entertained. The food was DEEELISH! There was plenty of food for everyone, and a lot of good times were had by all. With the holidays just around the corner, if you want to have a memorable dining experience for your friends and family, DEFINITELY call Reno Recipes to reserve a date!

I have nothing but great things to say about Reno Tahoes DJ Company!! The communication was…read moreflawless and prompt throughout the whole process of booking for the wedding up until the day of the wedding, and the pricing was fair too. Larry is an excellent MC/DJ and made sure that our wedding night went perfectly. He calls you several times when you book and then again before the wedding to make sure he has every detail correct, and makes sure you have the day you want. He also knows the flow of weddings very well and is able to help direct you in a normal flow so that a wedding planner is not needed (for this aspect, at least). I really cannot rave enough about how great everything went! Thank you for making my wedding day perfect! If you are in need of a DJ for your wedding or any occasion, I highly recommend Reno Tahoe DJ Company!

I endorse with enthusiasm the Reno Tahoe DJ Company! From the moment of first contact eight months…read morebefore the wedding (which took place September 16, 2017 at the Nevada Museum of Art), Larry was quick in his responses to my questions and requests. He was friendly, exuded professionalism, and made me feel confident that a DJ from his company would provide great A/V and master of ceremonies services. DJ Cooper did a fantastic job the day of our wedding. The music and microphones for our outdoor ceremony worked perfectly. I appreciated that there was both a lapel mic for our officiant and a hand-held mic for our reader. Larry and I discussed in advance our desired timeline for the post-ceremony events, and DJ Cooper helped everything flow beautifully. We chose the types of music genres that we wanted at various points in the evening, and DJ Cooper chose excellent suggestions and made sure the music was loud enough but not too loud. I can't believe how many of our friends and family members danced: even my boss, who told me afterward that he and his wife had never danced in public before! DJ Cooper faded out the music perfectly where we wanted it during the parent dance songs, and our first dance was coordinated splendidly to the music just as we wanted. Some of my favorite memories of the reception are dancing with my friends to an awesome 1940s swing tune and the crescendo of the pace of the last song of the night, which started out as a slow dance and then got rollickin'. I'm not sure how I had never heard Donna Summer's "Last Dance" before, but I'm so glad that DJ Cooper played it. We had distributed glow sticks for the grand exit right before DJ Cooper started that song, and seeing all my friends and family dancing under the dimmed lights, waving their glowsticks is one of my most joy-filled memories from our wedding day. Hands down, I recommend Larry Williams and his Reno Tahoe DJ Company to all my Reno area friends, family, and internet strangers.

First, let me say that boss lady Sydney is absolutely the life of the party! She graciously accommodated a customization request for SIL and both our projects came out great! The workshops are quick, unique, and extra fun thanks to sassy Sydney! If you've been there, done that to the canvas paint & sip places, switch it up and come get hammered at Hammer & Stain!

You're able to personalize it, so no one walks out with the same picture. You also can use power tools! What's more fun than that!? The staff was so friendly even when our group got a little rowdy. They helped me figure out color schemes and even brought out the glitter! Definitely want to go again.

I have waited almost two years to write this review because I have tried to give myself time to see…read moreif my opinion changed. it has not. while there are other reviews that praise 4joy media, I cannot give a good review. my wedding pictures were not good. i have more photos of table settings than I do family members. all the photos of family, bridal party, and myself + husband were taken in the same spot. my wedding was outside in a beautiful wooded area and all the photos were done under the arch in the same spot. there are no poses photos. just people standing by. no fun photos or artistic photos. just groups of people, standing next to me and my husband, under the arch, smiling...sometimes. I have only two photos where my husband and I are not kissing. Casey likes kiss photos a lot! I do not. but I have lots of kiss photos. some photos are blurry. most of the family photos have people blinking, looking away, or not smiling. the only photo I have with my mom, her eyes are closed. When I asked Casey if there were any that didn't have those issues she told me it was because people were taking photos with their cell phones and not her fault. while there is a possibility of that, prior to photos we announced over the loudspeaker for guests to go inside and for anyone who was staying to put away cell phones, and they did! I also know this because I have asked everyone for their cell phone photos and no one has given me any because they put theirs away when Casey was working. so these are just the result if Casey's skill. also, group photos look odd. people are standing at odd angles or everyone is bunched together except one straggler off to the side. things just look off. There were many unflattering angels taken of me that made my figure look awful! I asked her about that and she said it was her artistic expression. In one photo I looked pregnant because she took it from under me. While Casey and her husband are very kind people, I cannot recommend her photography skills. Now, maybe this was all my fault. I wasn't a bridzilla who wanted to control and direct everything. I hired Casey and wanted to enjoy my wedding while the she captured it. I wanted her artistic skills to enhance my wedding memories. However, she is a nice lady with a nice camera, but she is not a photographer. maybe she has gotten better since it has been two years. I regret not shopping around more. she had some good reviews on Yelp. I liked her website. but what I got was not what I thought I would get. anyways, I paid Casey and have everything downloaded on my computer. when I look at those photos I get very upset because the day is gone, the event is over, and a redo isn't possible. i have one good photo that I like of me and my husband. but, I would not say it is a miraculously beautiful photo. it's just a nice photo that could have been taken by anyone. we look happy in it. that's what I came out with. I guess one is better than none.
