Always a great way to boost my day with a super iced white lightning! It's my favorite drink--iced or frozen! It's a yummy day! With the frozen, though, I have to get a small one because it tastes so good, and I try to drink it too fast and get brain freeze! I don't drink them every day like I used to when I was working, but I still love a treat every once in awhile! The price has definitely gone up which affects how frequently I stop to get one! For everyone commenting that the wait line is to long, take a second to understand that 9 times out of 10 it's because someone ordered 4 bagels and you can't speed up the cook time unless you send it out frozen or undercooked. Biggby also does doordash and online order which can make wait times go up. There are people who will order 10+ items from doordash, and when the dasher shows up the barista's get death glares when it's not ready. This Biggby is not privately owned, and the prices go up when corporate raises them. Again, has nothing to do with the barista's as they have ZERO say in the prices, just like anywhere else, it's up to the owner or corporation, never the worker. There's never more than 5 people scheduled, unless it's a holiday. The most at a time there's 4 people scheduled, which can still be overwhelming with how busy this location can get. I think we all should have more patience and remember that paying for a latte is a luxury item. There are people in other parts of the world trying to survive while we have people coming on here complaining that their morning coffee took too long. Everyone needs more grace. The workers here work extra hard to do their best, barista's are human beings too! Hope this helps. read more

Service has picked up and the wait is not long. The customer service has also improved from past reviews. The employees are knowledgeable and will assist if you need help deciding on a drink or menu item. But...... the coffee is sweet. I've resorted to switching to almond milk and just getting a Cappuccino with "more almond milk than foam". I didn't know you could do this (not get too much foam) but this drink is not sweet at all. Here's the deal, Biggby loves sugar. Like, a lot. The signature drinks, such as Butter Bear and Carmel Marvel, is so sweet that your teeth will throb and you may develop the diabeetus halfway through your medium latte. They are delicious, but I sincerely wish they could dial it down a bit. The baristas are well aware of the fact that their menu was clearly developed in Candy Land and have no problem using a half serving of syrup, which in my opinion makes it perfect. My husband prefers their coffee over Starbucks, which isn't saying much, but I can promise it's actually quite good. The fact of the matter is that Biggby (formerly Beaners...like a COFFEE BEAN and not a derogatory term for a certain race of people), is a West Michigan staple. If you're looking to truly experience what Michigan has to offer, you need to make a stop here. read more

This location always has the longest drive through line and it is nearly impossible to get through in less than 25 minutes. The design of the drive through isn't the best (having the order window a car length away from the pick up window) so it's hard to say what's at fault here. Regardless, not worth it. read more

Staff was friendly and atmosphere was clean. However, their in-store music choice would have been better if it was nails on a chalk board. They had Jason Mraz on repeat, which made me feel as if I was at an angsty middle school dance from 2011 instead of a coffee shop. The taste and quality of the coffee here is consistent with that of other Biggby's locations in the area. I tend to drive by this location if there are more than a couple of cars at the drive-thru. For some reason the drive-thru service is much slower than other locations possibly due to staffing. Often an employee will apologize and tell you the extended wait time is because they're also trying to accommodate customers inside the coffee shop. The employees themselves are nice people who work hard to deliver the product. I'd venture the longer wait times here are not due to employee efficiency but may be more a matter of understaffing. It all works during slow periods but is difficult when more than a couple of customers show up at once. As with other Biggby's locations I recommend the Bigbby's Blend or most of the drip varieties. The Americano has a slightly bitter aftertaste. The other specialty drinks are great, especially the Mint Mocha. My kids enjoy the frozen (hot) chocolate. Baked goods are okay but nothing to write home about. All is fine here as long as there's a short line. read more

This is by far the superior location in Portage. The speed of service has increased drastically during all times of the day and the employees are genuinely sweet individuals. I've noticed them moving the line much more efficiently than they might have in the past and I have had many lovely conversations with the baristas on shift. I think it's important to remember that these folks are providing you a service and it isn't their fault that the prices are a bit much for your wallet. And no, they don't make them up! This location is NOT privately owned, it is corporate. If you don't want to leave a tip, then don't, but from what I have heard in the past, these kids don't get paid nearly as much as they should. We should also keep in mind that this location is highly convenient for many coffee lovers, so the line can be long. Again, it isn't their fault that you chose to get in line 10 minutes before you have a doctors appointment or 5 minutes before work. I understand the frustrations of running late, but those who work in food service are people too and we should treat them as such. Have a great day! read more

I have become a regular at this location they even take time to make special frozen drinks for my grandsons thia location has a large drive thru business so I almost always fo inside. The staff is always friendly and usually remember what I have going on in life I also give kudos when they are training someone, they way they praise as a group and are always happy and friendly read more

This Biggby seems to be run my a handful of teenagers who are not very good on their customer service skills. I forgot to get my card punched and came back only two hours after purchasing my drink and the girl rolled her eyes and said she couldn't help me. The pumpkin spice latte is sub-par here so I guess I will drive a few extra miles to the D&W on Romence Rd for Starbucks! read more

Slowest Biggby EVER!!! I have given them multiple chances to improve since they opened about a year ago. The drive through is horribly slow. If there's more than one car in front of you it's faster to walk in. This store is 2 minutes from my house but I'll gladly go to the Westnedge store for quicker and friendlier service. read more

I love Biggby coffee., much better then Starbucks. I go there every morning. Even though this location is the most convenient for me, I'm going to have to find another location. The wait is always horrendous!!!! Wether it be the drive thru or walk in it's truly ridiculous! 10 minutes to get my drink just isn't worth it. The staff, whom are all very friendly, are just too slow, especially for the morning rush. They are seriously understaffed. Corporate needs to step in. I see so many people walk in and turn around and leave. No body has time in the morning to wait like this! read more

Very inconsistent specialty coffee drinks. Today I ordered what I always order and when I received the drink I tasted it. It doesn't taste at all like what I ordered so rather than making a new drink the barista takes the lid off and sniffs the coffee then proceeded to squirt additional flavoring in it. She then handed the coffee back to me and spilled it all over my hand and coat. The barista's next genius move is to hand me a brown (previously white) rag and says "don't worry it's clean". The extra flavoring didn't help btw Not the best experience. Worst Biggby I've ever been to but I keep going back due to the lack of options here. Don't expect to wait less than 10 min for their crappy drinks. I'm headed 5 miles further to Starbucks from here out. read more

Very slow. Needs an express area for those that only want coffee. I've walked out many times due to the long line inside.

The staff seems to need more training. Things take much too long. Starbucks puts out drinks way faster--but they probably train their staff better. They are at least really friendly, just slow and of the few times I've ordered a cappuccino, about half of them are closer to a latte. There are some good positives though: great location, friendly staff, good beans. They just need more training. read more

This is my FAVORITE Biggby location. They put the schoolcraft, three rivers, and both Westnedge locations in the dirt! Its the employees here. They are fantastic and so nice to me! Wonderful customer service! Every single one of them. The manager must be doing a great job too. This location is always spotless and the staff is always pleasant!
