The building itself is just on the edge of Digbeth and the gay village so perfectly located for someone like me that needs access to the stuff in there all the time for work. The other good thing to note is you can get in and out of this place 24 hours with no extra charge.....ideal for me also. Not knowing anything about storage they guy on the counter made it as easy as possible for me....finding me the right size room for my stuff and explaining how to get in and out of the place well. I also picked up some flat pack boxes and tape while i sorted the unit which was great again just making things easier during a time where stress levels can be at an all time HIGH. One final thing to note is the flexibility this place offers you can change the size of your room or cancel with only 30 days notice....if I have stuff to store in the future I know where I am coming :)

I've rented a unit for a few months last year -mid pandemic- while i was looking for reasonable…read moreaccommodation. I had no major issues in the 2month while i was there, other than it's a big greenhouse on the first floor and 30+ degrees Celsius are common when outside is 20ish. This can make moving in/out even more uncomfortable. Why the 2-star rating you may ask? It's because of the atrocious refund "policy". I've paid another month even tho I've already given my notice. When it came to the refund of overpayment, they INSISTED they can only give me a cheque rather than transferring the overpayment to my account, in the MIDDLE OF A PANDEMIC. It's bad enough i had to go back to pick up the cheque in person but here is the twist: on the cheque, where they had to write the amount with letters, they used a combination of letters and numbers which got obviously refused by the bank. Now it took me a good 4 months to visit my bank in the first place, i then misplaced the cheque and forgot about it...which is what they hope for i assume. Consumer Contracts Regulations. s34: (7) The trader must make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as the consumer used for the initial transaction unless the consumer has expressly agreed otherwise. Please be careful and maybe consider other companies, as if they pull things like this on a customer who only stayed a few months, god only knows what else they try. I highly recommend checking trust pilot for horror stories...those will send a legitimate chill down your spine just like the famous character Freddy Krueger did when you were 11 and your parents sent you to sleep, but you secretly watched it anyway. (We had a bad experience with a different storage company in the past that gave us really low prices to begin with then upped them after the 'offer period') Admiral gave us the use of a van free of charge to take our furniture into storage and free boxes. They made everything really easy for us and when we took our furniture out of storage they gave us a refund on the spot for all the unused storage days the other company made us pay for about 2 weeks after we'd taken our stuff out. This company seem really switched on they are upfront with everything so you know exactly what you're getting for your money, if I have to use storage again I won't hesitate to go straight back to Admiral Self Storage.
