This is the greatest plumbing service, I've ever used. Customer service was great. Mark was more than exceptional. He not only does his job but he does it swiftly and efficiently. He also educates you, as the customer. He cleaned up everything, better than how he found it. The prices were a gift, especially during this time in the country. We had two shower faucets and a toilet replaced. We also had a garbage disposal clog fixed... he even figured out our issue with the diswasher. Early 10/2023, contacted Big Wrench (BW) to replace a gas water heater. They reviewed the project on 10/6. Received their estimate on 10/12. Although BW's $2,175.82 estimate was slightly higher than the other two, I selected them because I try to first support small businesses, women and people of color. I REGRET supporting BW because they were disrespectful throughout the entire process. They were late coming to review the project and took their time sending me a written estimate. Thereafter, BW was horrible in following up with me. BW recommended a gas water heater for a 3-4 person house but our house accommodates 4-6 people. So, we suggested another water heater. BW was slow telling us that item was unavailable. From that point, BW gave no professional input so we researched on our own. On November 19, 2023 we sent an email to BW listing four models of gas water heaters hoping that one out of the four would be available. On 11/20, I spoke with the owner, Bryan (or Ryan?) who was very condescending. I asked when could we expect a response to our email? He said, "Someone will get to you soon." I asked what did that mean? He responded, 'soon.' The call ended on that note. After not hearing from BW I called on 11/27, a woman answered, I explained why I was calling. She claimed her iPad wasn't working and she couldn't find my email. I gave her my information and asked if someone could contact me. She said that Bryan (Ryan?) would call me. No one called, I called BW again. When I asked why hadn't anyone returned my call, the same woman said that Bryan (Ryan?) said that, "I could find someone else to do the job! What?! We wasted more than a month going back and forth with Big Wrench, lost the other estimates and this is the final outcome! Please be warned that Big Wrench does not conduct itself professionally. The people at BW are rude and inconsiderate of the customer's time and needs. Big Wrench doesn't deserve my business or yours. Save yourself the stress and take your business elsewhere. Had to call these people a couple of times. We needed our main line to be rodded out the first guy came in our home pretending. Had to call again because kitchen sink still stopped up. 2nd plumber came early asked where maine line was which was in crawl space he rodded line out. No more problem. Plumber came out twice. First time to give me an estimate on a clean out of the main line, then I called them back after receiving a few other quotes and there's was the most reasonable. Plumber decided after a few minutes of being at my home that he wasn't sure if the line needed rodding afterall. 2 days later we had a bad storm and my kitchen sink overflowed all over the floors down my steps, and the basement flooded. My opinion only. Big wrench = Big Price. Starting with the positive; called Friday morning after the gas company shut the off gas to the entire house, located in McKinley Park, Thursday evening. Peoples gas flagged 3 leaks. Big Wrench arrived late Friday evening and estimated $2375 for a half day work on Saturday. One person. Do the math on that! They came around 11:00 AM Saturday and worked about 9 hours. Found and reported as fixed 6 leaks. Pressure tested successfully. Then the price; $2875! (After negotiating them down from somewhere over $3000). That's $319.44 per hour. Ok they had maybe a length of 3/4 black pipe and a few unions. Could be $100 in material cost. Who makes $300+ an hour? If you're ok paying that per hour then go ahead. In my opinion that is excessive. Or maybe I'm out of touch. Will not hire again. read more

I recently had my commercial hot water tank replaced by Big Wrench Plumbing. When I noticed water leaking from the water heater, I called Big Wrench Plumbing and they sent out Al to take a look at the issue. Al, recommended that I replace the existing 2 water heaters with one big commercial water heater. He then helped me secure the water heater quickly from Banner Plumbing Supply. Byron applied for the permit and Al took care of installing the water heater the same day it was delivered even though it was baking hot. This is commitment to customer service. They were friendly in the beginning. I got estimate to fix plumbing problem in three stages. I agreed and one guy showed up did some drilling in the pipes but acknowledged did not resolve my drain problem. I paid them for the first stage but no one has called for second step. I had a sewer gas problem on the main floor in the powder room and in the upstairs bathroom for over a year. I had several plumbers out and no one could figure out how to fix the issue. Big wench plumbers came out and fixed the issue. Byran, reset the toilets on all three floors. He also had to open the wall in the powder room to replace two pipes. Very rude and unprofessional...schedule an appointment to have a leaking faucet fixed two days in advance...well the day of the appointment they were a no call no show and when I called to ask if they were still coming it took forever for them to answer the phone...when they finally did answer...they claimed they had contacted me and I said that I found someone else to do the job...which wasn't true...I had been cleaning my bathroom and preparing my house for them to come...so why would I cancel... the man on the phone had no consideration for the fact that it was their mix up... and really wasn't apologetic at all...he couldn't give me an ETA for what time they could possibly come and expected me to sit around all day (on a Friday) waiting for them...I told the man that I had somewhere to be at a certain time and his response was..."well what would you have done if we would have been able to fix the problem"...and told me that their mix up wasn't an inconvenience to me at all...he also told me that he would call me right back with an ETA and never did...so if you're looking for a nice dependable plumber this is certainly not the place to call...I guess a leaking faucet wasn't worth their time...smh...I would give this business no stars if I could, but you have to give at least one read more
