I have worked with a few other web designers in the past. Those experiences were long and drawn out. I would ask for something to be done and they wouldn't do it, then I would have to follow up and hound them etc... and many times the work was done sloppily but I just accepted it because I couldn't afford to waste any more time telling people how to do there job. My experience with Big Tuna was the exact opposite of everything I've experienced previously. It's how I always thought the process should be. They are extremely responsive. It seems like they get it. I don't have to spell out every little thing for them. I was having my old site redesigned. The original site took something like 8 months to get finished. It was only Okay and I was pulling my hair out by the end of it. My Big Tuna site was DONE in 3 weeks and is OUTSTANDING. Oh and I should probably mention it was $1200... my old site cost me close to $4k. Since then I have requested a handful of updates and they have all been completed the same day. When i researched for a company to help build a wesbite, i settled on Big tuna as they were so responsive in the early stages of pricing and investigation. Eric was my go to guy from then on and he was truly overly attentive and so helpful that the process was painless in so many ways. For a while now, I've been looking to have a web site put together that I'm absolutely thrilled with for my landscape design / build firm. I wanted a web presence that would express and represent and match the vision I have for my growing business. I've consulted with and, quite honestly, have been disappointed in dealing with a couple other web design services that I've had consulted with. I find that these firms would either over-promise, under-deliver, or simply drop the ball completely regarding service and content. However, I have to say that I'm very glad to have come across Big Tuna. This is a company that certainly comes through with their promises regarding service, content, and finished product. From the start, I was provided a draft of the site design. After requesting a couple edits to what was presented, I never met any form of resistance, only prompt responsive action. After a few rounds of alterations / edits, I approved of the final product and had it go live right away. Overall, I was very pleased with my experience and am extremely happy with my new website. It looks fantastic and presents well on all formats (computer, tablet, and smartphone). A huge thank you and job well done to all the fine folks at Big Tuna! I have recently enrolled in their AdWords Worx program. I tried to run Google Adwords on my own and quickly found myself in way over my head. The way this program was explained to me sounds like it is certain to alleviate the headaches of juggling Adwords campaigns on my own while maximizing results. Folks, this company should be called BIG CATFISH WEB because thats exactly what you'lI experience is being catfished by this less than novice web designer who would prefer to work with crayons and color pencils than to code or stay current in modern and custom web designing era. I received a solicitation from Big Tuna Web for $995 to design my web. I was open to trying them because my site could use a face lift. In the first stage, design (where wireframes are created), they were unable to do rudimentary designs nor were they open to fixing the work they originally did. I asked the project manager if they could provide options on some of the art work and their response was we work in bulk quantity so we are unable to provide multiply options based on the quality of work we have our staff working on. Big tuna web is a company that DOES NOT specialize in quality but quantity. They CARE LESS about quality and more about speed. The moment they noticed I was not taking their antics, and I became unhappy with the product and their less than talented staff, they pulled the work and cancelled my order and refunded my money. I am thankful for such option although, i don't get into business with people to demand a refund.Thankfully, I don't have to worry about business development when they can't even successfully deliver on the initial ASK. I specifically asked for the skyline of new York which they refused to design and use some find of stock photo that looks retarded. They stuck the statue of liberty in the middle of a bridge and called it New York. I asked for a diversified work staff image and instead they stuck a male on my home page. Mind you, i am a woman owned business. This company could care less about your brand and your company vision and pulling it together to create Your Custom Site. They do not specialize in graphic design or one of a kind websites. Also the wireframe they designed was copied from a Canadian website because they lack not creative depth. Click the website below and compare to the uploaded wireframe they are so proud of. Copying is how they define creativity. I guess they like to copy aspects of the site for their walmart laden 99cent websites. I had a great experience with Big Tuna. They have a great process, follow up regularly, and do excellent work. Here's a quick recap of my experience: - Sales rep explained process and took payment deposit. - Spoke to the project manager about my business, what I'm looking for and how I intend to use my website. - I received a design. It was outstanding and I gave an immediate approval. - Received first version of the completed website. - Made 2 rounds of revisions - Site was set live The process was really smooth and I am extremely happy with my website. I had a previous website so we transferred some of the content from it. We also utilized the copy development services of Big Tuna which was included in the pricing for 4 additional pages. All new pictures were added to the site - a few I provided but the majority are professional stock photo's that Big Tuna provided. I did not use their e-mail so I cannot comment on that. I kept my email with Gmail. It was nice that they could host my website without having to move my email. Timeframe: 3.5 weeks Pro/Cons: Pro's #1 Pro: Quality: They really do nice work at Big Tuna. This is my third website and I wanted a professional site from top to bottom. They do it all and really gave me a comprehensive, clean, professional site that I'm proud of and that reflects well on my business. #2 Pro: Price: The stated design price was quoted to me at $795. According to the sales rep I spoke with almost all projects fit in a standard package of up to 12 pages. #3 Pro: Management package was quoted to me at $39.95/month. This package includes hosting, e-mail (if you want it), domain renewal, SSL and 1 hour of updates each month. Only Con: I'm on a job site all day and start fairly early in the morning. I asked if we could do the phone call before 8:00 AM and they could not accommodate that request. Overall: The single best experience I have had with a marketing company. I am very impressed with Big Tuna and would highly recommend them. I did my website a few years ago using GoDaddy and I thought it was working fine. I had been considering making changes to my website but didn't believe it was worth it since most of my customers are word of mouth and referrals. Plus, I didn't want to deal with the headache of it all. After talking with Brandon, I learned that my website didn't work on phones and that I wasn't showing on Google. He showed me how they do things to help me pop up on Google. He also mentioned how they have a department that handles all the technical stuff of moving my website from Go Daddy. The whole process took a whopping two weeks and was way smoother than I ever thought it could be. Their team helped me out every step of the way. Extremely friendly people. They were very responsive to email, and it was very easy to communicate with them and be understood. I thought my old site that I put together myself was good, but my new Big Tuna website blows my old website away! I held off on this review until I could see how my site was performing. It's been online for about ten months now and I'm finally getting people to find my website on Google and contacting me through it. Recently, we decided to completely redesign our site and to top it off, we needed it within a very short time frame for a Home Show we were going to be in. I don't understand what the negative reviews are all about, but for me, Big Tuna performed and delivered as promised, and after hosting my site for a couple of years now, they still do. As we designed my new website together, they listened and did their best to understand what this non tech guy was trying to convey to them, and I have to say, they were very patient and extremely attentive to my requests and constant changes until I was 100% satisfied. My site was up and running in just a couple of weeks. I regularly get great feedback and positive comments from my customers that have found my site. Their customer service afterwards has been stellar. It's actually very easy to get them on the phone or at least get a reply back in a very short time to get any new updates or changes added to the site. I just got off the phone with Colin Hope from Big Tuna who helped me with an issue I was having with my email. Even though they don't use the same email program I use, and it is not directly related to their services, Colin helped me out just the same and resolved my issue. Thanks Colin! Wasn't going to leave a review and just walk away with a bad experience. However, I hired a new web designer to revamp an existing site these people where suppose do for me and found out they did not even bother inserting the correct analytics code into my site. When I emailed them asking for them to fix it they did not even bother to respond. If you are looking for a template site with no customization this is what they do. I hired them in 2017 to do my website redesign and they did a great job but it was not easy. It took longer than it should have for it to go live but they kept a high level of professionalism and met all my request! While I felt like I had to persist to get the great job from them in the end they were responsive, diligent and executed everything I asked for to their best ability which was pretty good. I love the site I now have and it's due to the hard work and collaborative effort of their design team, PM with my ideas and their talent and insight when I myself fell short on ideas. I recently contacted Big Tuna Web to design a website and I am so glad I did. This seems like a quality company that works hard to deliver a quality product. They were professional from start to finish and everyone I worked with seemed to genuinely want to design the site I was looking for while offering their own design expertise to make it even better. If I could give this company 0 stars I would. I called this company to have my current website rebuilt for my company. They were recommended to me by a colleague for whom they did a website for. I thought they did a great job for my colleague so I decided to call them. The rep I spoke with was very nice and helpful. I asked him a lot of questions just to get an idea of what the capabilities of the company were and found out that was a bad idea. I had a couple of projects in mind that I wanted done and explained that my current project would be very simple and that the more difficult projects would be down the road. The rep said I would receive a proposal for my website rebuild via email that I can review and submit back to them to start the project. Instead, he emailed me back saying that they would not be doing my website for me due to the complexity of what I am requesting. I wrote back to explain that I only needed a simple website done currently and that the complex questions were for future projects and to get an idea of what they can do. My email was disregarded and he would not give me a straight answer of why they were declining service to me. When I tried calling the company they dodged my calls and would only respond via email. I could not get a straight answer out of the rep and I was very disappointed in the manner that Big Tuna goes about turning down a customer. It seems that if you have basic knowledge of how a website is created and SEO they do not want to work with you at all. Horrible business practice and very unprofessional. I am part of a national network and was going to give them large exposure upon the completion of my website. Instead they chose to treat me like garbage without even a basic explanation. read more

Overall I am very pleased with the product and service that I received. This is a budget option, do not expect top tier without paying for it. I am however, very grateful that this option exists because for the first time in 16 years of owning my business I needed a website to pursue new clients and it is due to a slump in our sales, i.e. no budget. I have a good understanding of how web development works and I also have design skills which was greatly beneficial to me during the development stage with Big Tuna. Getting the site launched was one thing but I give FIVE STARS to their response time on update requests.
